Go for wine. NOT food 6/15/2011

This is a wine bar, not really a restaurant. There is food on the menu, but like every other place, same menu. Olives for appetizers, sandwiches (what every other place makes...turkey, chicken, blah blah). It's a wine bar. more

postino is the perfect place for any occasion or no occasion at all! they're food, especially the bruschetta is the best around. not to mention, the panini's & seasonal tomato soup is the best. love it all! Pros: amazing food & perfect atmosphere Cons: hmmm ... don't have one yet! more

Cute, trendy atmosphere 4/25/2008

Great place to hang out with friends, also a very good date spot. Casual atmosphere plus many other cute restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend olive plate! Cons: parking more

One of my fav places! I go every Month with my friends and we always have great food and service! The wine is great and so are the grilled cheese sammys! more

WOW! What a blast 8/8/2007

The server was extremely upbeat and helpful in our selection of the cheese plate and a complimenting bottle of wine for us three ladies to split. The wine was wonderful, cheese plate was FANTASITIC and the service was great. The valet boys were extremely friendly as well. Very fun, Ive been told to try the bruschetta next time though :) The bottle of wine was a steal because it ended up being 6 or 9 bucks off on Mondays... what a fun place! Pros: Great service, WONDERFUL food, Great price Cons: Seats where a little uncomfortable more

I can't wait to go back! 11/24/2006

What a great atmosphere, the open wall lets you feel like your outdoors, while indoors, it is very dimly lit by candles. The wine selection is great but the best part is the creative brushetta. more

Best bruschetta, salads and sandwiches!!!!!!! 9/4/2006

I ate at Il Postino while visiting Pheonix recently, received the very high recommendation from a gal I work with, that grew up in the area. All I can say is, I am VERY, VERY sad I don't live in walking distance of this restaurant! I would be there every day for lunch and dinner! They had the most AMAZING bruschetta sampler appetizer, and their house salad is to die for! Not only is the food amazing, the atmosphere cool, the staff quick, super friendly and the customer service FABULOUS, but the waiters were all HOT! I give this the highest rating possible, and I plan on going back everytime I visit Pheonix! What about opening one in Laguna Beach????? Pros: the food is amazing, the staff is wonderful & the customer service is above par! Cons: none that I can think of more

Postino is great! 5/26/2005

We just moved to phoenix and stumbled upon Postino. The setting is perfect - not pretentious and comfortable. The food is great with an emphasis on the classics. We have been there twice and look forward to getting there at least 2x a month! Pros: Dim lighting, open garage doors more

Too Much of a Great Thing? 11/24/2004

Postino has so much to recommend it: the drinks, the food, and the decor. If it's possible for a place to become too popular, however, then Postino may be a victim of its own success. The wait time for a table --- which can exceed 90 minutes on a WEEKNIGHT --- is frustrating and inexcusable, especially when the bar area is tiny and cramped and has very limited seating. If you can manage to go when it's not overflowing, however, the bruschetta is outstanding, and the creme brulee is hands-down the best I've ever tasted. (I would go into detail on the inconsistent service, but I suspect this may have something to do with the staff attempting to accommodate all the customers jammed into the place.) If Postino could expand its dining area and reduce the waiting time, it would be the perfect eatery. Pros: food Cons: , service, seating availability more

Great Date Spot 12/2/2003

This is a great place to come for a first date! Atmosphere is very romantic and casual. Excellent wine list and tasty hand bruchettas, great for feeding each other! Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Crowded more
