I love this hotel. Right when you walk into the lobby, you're swept with the feeling for grandeur and romance. There's gold everywhere (I think i'm just particular to gold), and t...

Worst

This was my first time traveling to Las Vegas, my trip was booked as a package deal with 6 other family members, who have been to Las Vegas over 8 times.

Its okay... 9/19/2010

Some great Swordfish Ceviche but the Carne asada was a disappointment. Probably wouldn't return and rather try somewhere else. Service was pretty good and the Frida Margaritas were pretty good as well. more

Great room service 7/25/2010

Easy to navigate, GREAT room service! Pros: good food Cons: none so far more

Fun! 7/11/2010

I miss the "OZ" theme from back in the day and the giant lion on the outside! This hotel is a great place to stay, rooms are clean and the view is good! The pools are fun and entertaining. more

Best Seafood restaraunt ever! 7/5/2010

I am not sure I have ever done this in my life but after I finished my main course I walked up to the chef and told him this was the best meal I had ever had.. Food is spectacular... Huge wine list... Try the bacon wrapped chilean sea bass... I ate at RM Seafood the night before in the Mandalay Bay and this blew it away... MGM is a dump... Pros: Fantastic food! Cons: Its in the MGM more

Avoid: There are better restaurants 2/6/2010

I went to Las Vegas in Dec 09. I stayed in Ballys. This was not my first time in Las Vegas. In fact I go at least once per yr for the last 4 yrs or so. My friends and I were looking for a nice, semi-fancy restaurant for our friends' bday. A few places were closed until Christmas. Other places were way too expensive for it's own good and the others not up to par. We decided on this place to have a nice bday dinner before going to a strip show. The service was as expected. However, my salmon was way undercooked. It looked very pretty on the outside, but once I explored further, I saw the my salmon was like sushi. I had to send it back. My other friend had ordered a seafood linguini w/scallops, mussels. She felt that the scallops might have been undercooked as well, but she didn't want to send back another dish. BIG MISTAKE!!! Later that night, she was so sick. She was in the bathroom vomitting and had diarrhea. Plus, by sending back my dish, we were 15 mins late to the strip show. The plus side was that we got a very nice dessert w/limoncello shots. I told this story to my boss who went to Las Vegas for a conference. He said that his director and him ate there also and got sick too. I was convinced that it wasn't just us. The point of the story go somewhere else or if you dare eat here, don't eat the fish or anything that can make you sick. Pros: It was in MGM Grand & Open later than other restaurants Cons: The food more

This show was extremely disappointing .Go to ""O"" instead. 1/21/2010

I've seen all the Cirque Shows and this one is my least favorite. I can't believe that i was fall sleep in this show. I enjoyed ""O"" more than any other Cirque show and recommend that one above all others. more

Very Disappointing 12/3/2009

This may only be slightly better than a Taco Bell because of the good drinks and bartenders. The food was bland, portions were too small and there was a serious lack of ingredients going into our dishes. Needless to say, it was disappointing and overpriced. Cons: Flavorless food more

Not for me 11/23/2009

I went here for dinner on my birthday and it was one of the worst experiences in a nice restaurant I have ever had. My party and I were ignored nd when we asked for some help we told flat out no. They need some help in hospitality more

Fantastic show 11/20/2009

First off, if you're expecting a typical Cirque show with nothing but acrobatics, then you're likely to be disappointed. Ka is more like a ballet with the option to use ""in the air"" as a performance area. There were some amazing acrobatics and other tricks (the twirler was particularly good, she did things I've never seen anyone else do!), the focus is more on the story, so it's less of an all-out acrobatic-fest.\r \r That said, the performance was amazing. I chose it over the others because it did seem more like a ballet- something I enjoy- and it did not disappoint. The stage was an amazing piece of work- sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's vertical, sometimes it's on an incline- just seeing what they did with the stage next was fantastic fun. The performers did a great job and the guy who played the bodyguard for the twins was amazing- my only complaint was that he didn't get more stage time! \r \r The music was great and the story was easy to follow. The pre-show shows were fun and the speakers inside the seats were a surprise and added a lot to the experience. If you just want to see one acrobatic trick after another, pick a different Cirque show. If you want to watch a cross between a ballet and aerial kung-fu flicks, this is the show for you. Pros: Everything more

I've had better Sushi at Whole Foods 9/25/2009

We'd read some wonderful reviews on this restaurant on a different site, which was why we chose to come here. We love Sushi, being fans of Takashi's in Salt Lake City, Fuki Sushi in Palo Alto, CA (most of the time), and Yoshi's in San Francisco, so we've got some decent Sushi experience under our belts. When it came to Shibuya, I have had better sushi at Whole Foods. Their Kampachi and Hamachi were flavorless, their Salmon tasted soapy, and their Rock and Roll hand roll had barbs. We ordered the vegetable tempura which was fair at best. Another appetizer my husband had was actually decent once he decided to eat half of them instead of the whole piece (they added a RIDICULOUS amount of rice to it). I agree with other posters that the portions were small on the whole. As for the ambiance: Interesting design and color scheme made it fun to look around and appreciate the design. However, it was also FREEZING in the restaurant, and it was so loud our ears were ringing when we left. With 5 industrial cooking fans in the main dining area, it is no wonder. There is little opportunity to talk because the tables for 2 are quite long and there are no walls or partitions between any of the tables. Service was decent, but we paid $180 for our meal (which was ridiculous and so surreal we were just flabbergasted that we were charged so much for such sub par food) and we felt genuinely robbed. I would completely avoid this location if you want sushi while in Vegas. Try ""Yellow tail"" in the Bellagio instead - at the very least you'll be able to hear each other while you talk. We will NEVER eat here again. 2 stars. Pros: Interesting design/decor Cons: Beyond Loud, freezing, tasteless sushi more

OMG! What a meal, what service! 8/24/2009

We decided to sit at the bar and Kerry (you'll know him when you see him, he can't be missed) is an awesome bartender. The first thing we noticed was an amazing (but very pricey) Italian wine list. We had the Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, for $75, but we know it is $25 in the stores. When perfectly chilled at 58 degrees, it is an amazing wine. Fiamma's wines are all perfectly chilled. We were looking for something out of the norm and Italian, we were not disappointed. I had this incredible Kobe beef wrapped in Risotto that was lightly fried/crisp with a cream sauce. It blew me away! My wife had the short Rib Ravioli that she thought was unbelievable. Others at the bar saw our plates and all were asking what they were and also ordered them. Am I done with this review far from it. Next we ordered the Gelato, OMG WOW. After traveling to Italy, this is the real stuff! Pick three flavors, but make sure you get the ""Espresso Chip"", it will knock your socks off. We're still not done! Next Kerry brought over these small little after dinner chocolate cups filled with warm caramel that was the icing to the evening! 5 stars all the way for the food, the service, the wine, chefs, the owner, and especially Kerry! Pros: Food, Wine selection, Service more

Save your money and go to ""O"" instead. 7/25/2009

I've seen all the Cirque Shows and this one is my least favorite. For the amount of money that was spent (over $400 for 4 people not including $37 for 3 waters and 1 bag of popcorn) I certainly expected a better show. They even refused to give us the standard ""Locals Discount"". Just seemed like performers were going through the motions. I enjoyed ""O"" more than any other Cirque show and recommend that one above all others. Overall it was a huge disappointment. Pros: Cirque Show Cons: Overpriced and worst one/tourist trap more

Famous For the Lion 7/5/2009

They have one of the world's biggest casino, biggest hotel, and used to have one of the biggest theme parks. I used to love going here for the theme park that had a lot of fun things to do. They shut it down though. Other than that, it was remodeled several years back so that you could no longer walk through the lion's mouth (catering to the Chinese who were superstitious). more

LOVE IT! 6/26/2009

I love going to Fiamma's!! The food is always awesome, the chef does 5 star every night!! I love that he comes out and interacts with the customers! The atmosphere is fun and beautiful, you can go for a girls night out or a romantic dinner with your man! I love the bartender that changes his accent every 20 mins!! LOL He rocks! Pros: Food, atmosphere, bartender and everything! Cons: Nothing more

Not impresssed 6/25/2009

My husband really wanted to go to this restaurant. So when I called to make reservations, I was informed that there was a dress code. We really dressed up and looked nice. When we got there, we were told we'd have to wait a few minutes (it wasnt quite 530 and they dont start serving dinner until 530) so we waited nearby. Right after we checked in, this family who were dressed sloppily walks up and says they have reservations for 530. They were seated immediately and we were STILL waiting! Why were they seated before 530 and we had to wait?! Then we were seated next to a family with a screaming baby-oh great! I love ear piercing noises when I want to enjoy a nice meal.\r The food was mediocre, not great. It certainly wasn't worth $45 per person! Cons: overpriced, service not good more
