Best

I love this hotel. Right when you walk into the lobby, you're swept with the feeling for grandeur and romance. There's gold everywhere (I think i'm just particular to gold), and t...

Worst

This was my first time traveling to Las Vegas, my trip was booked as a package deal with 6 other family members, who have been to Las Vegas over 8 times.

Serviceable but that's it 9/3/2004

The MGM Grand Buffet is a perfunctory big casino buffet. I had dinner there and for your $22.95 or whatever it is, it doesn't blow you away. The selection was OK but not up to the standards of Paris LV, Aladdin or Mirage. The items were quite decent on the whole but the crab legs were mushy and tasteless (Mirage was much better) and shrimp was the same (Paris was much better). In sum, perfectly decent taken on its own, but try other buffets in town and you'll see that the MGM Grand Buffet is not among the best. You can't really go wrong eating there but you can do better. Service was really good though. Pros: Reliable, Good service, Location Cons: , not cheap more

Wonderful Wedding Dinner 8/27/2004

We dined at CraftSteak after my daughter's Wedding. All 4 of us dressed in full wedding regalia! The service was very attentive without being obtrusive and certainly helpful in maintaining the festive feelings of our mini celebration. The food.....well the best is all we can say. Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely, we over ordered on the sides just so we could taste more variety. There wasn't a bad thing served! Go and eat yourselves full! Pros: FOOD, Ambiance, Service more

good place on a sunday night 8/11/2004

sunday night is still a good night to party in vegas. tabu has great atmosphere, cool furniture and good drinks. if you are looking to meet women this is the place for you. the ratio of men to women was 3:1, and they were beautiful. although the dance floor was small people were friendly and the music was good. more

A fantastic birthday meal! 5/10/2004

My boyfriend and I went here for my birthday and had one of the best meals of our lives. The fish was amazing...fresh, so beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Our dessert (a chocolate bombe) was a superb finish. Even their drinks were top notch (I had a dirty martini to DIE for!) This was the best meal of our trip, hands down. I'd go back to Vegas just for this restaurant! Pros: quality of food, service, ambience more

THE BEST MARTINIS IN VEGAS! 5/2/2004

My boyfriend and I have been to Craftsteak twice. Each time is totally worth it. We had the Rib-eye steak for two. Tender, flavorful, incredible presentation. For sides we chose the baby shitake mushrooms and graten potatoes. Their bread is amazing as well. Everything about our meal was superb, ESPECIALLY the martinis! Each one shaken to perfection and served with a beautiful twist which paralleled an incredible Vegas experience! I would highly recommend this restaurant! Pros: Ambiance, Service, Great food Cons: , Seats near bar smokey more

That little black cocktail dress 4/4/2004

would be appropriate here. Saw many at the bar. Editorial description is accurate. Add these notes: The wine by the glass is really a two glass pour. The pastas are the hit. Shared 3 - all fresh and top notch (at these prices they need to be) The shortrib raviolini is unique, and incredibly rich. It calls for a big red wine. Chocolate desserts are also intense in flavor. Even the decaf coffee is Italian Roast and very robust. Pros: Pasta heaven, hip ambience, intense flavors more

AWESOME!!! 3/21/2004

The meal that my husband and I had at Craftsteak was the best meal that we have EVER had. The atmosphere was classy yet relaxing. The service was excellent. As mentioned, the food was amazing. I had chicken, and my husband had a steak. We plan to go back there every time we visit Vegas! If you are looking for a delicious meal, with a great adult atmosphere...this is your restaruant!! Pros: delicious, not crowded, great service more

Amazing!!! 1/25/2004

I am usually not one for superlatives but the food at this restaurant is exceptional. It could easily be overlooked from its unassuming exterior but this place has a lot to offer. We spent $280 in total and I would have to say it was entirely justified. The skirt and crab bisque was totally unimaginable. I regard myself as reasonably well travelled and I can honestly say our experience was better than I have ever come across in Paris, London or New York. If you are in Vegas and are looking to take your experience of food to a totally different level, eat at Craftsteak. Its amazing!! Pros: great food Cons: a little expensive more

The MGM is GRAND 12/14/2003

I have tested a lot of differenct casino/hotels in Las Vegas. But the MGM Grand is mine and my fiancees favorite. Everything is there, it is so big, you'll never run out of stuff to do. And the service is wonderful also. Pros: Big Casino, Entertainment, Restaurants Cons: Pool 2 Room more

Disappointed 8/24/2003

I was very disappointed in this so called 4 star hotel. Not even a coffee maker in the room..give me a break! The room was dirty when we got there, candy and candy wrappers on the floor. I will never stay there again. It was not worth the proce. Cons: no coffee maker, dirty, just soso more

Superb 8/8/2003

Hands down the best steak I've ever had. I splurged and had the $50 Kobe beef flat iron steak. Absolutely tremendous. Very high scale restaurant. Very professional staff. Other than the fantastic steaks, everything else we had was awesome. Salads, potatoes, spinach, fries, desert. All of it was delicious. It is expensive, but in my opinion, worth every single penny. Pros: Steaks, Everything else Cons: nothing more

Nice Rooms 8/7/2003

Excellent rooms at this hotel. Nice long bathrooms! The service here is also outstanding. The atmosphere of the hotel is great. The pool area is one of the best on the strip. However, my favorite part of the hotel is the lobby- it's so 'grand' looking. If you have a family, this is definitely the hotel you should stay at- very kid friendly atmosphere. The only bad thing is that it is towards the end of the strip. We spent the majority of our time at the Bellagio, Cesear's, Venetian- and since the monorail system is under construction/done away with, we had so spend so much money on taxi service hotel hopping. Pros: nice rooms more

Decent Buffet 8/7/2003

This buffet is a nice buffet- I especially enjoy their price (compared to all Paris and Bellagio's cost). The long line went by fast, the service is outstanding, the selection of food overall is not bad at all. The only dissappointing thing is their selection of their desserts- doensn't even compare to Bellagio's selection. However, their fresh fruit is always good. Pros: atmosphere, value Cons: variety of food more

MGM 7/24/2003

Went with family on 4th of July weekend, very busy but MGM airort check in was great - I had hotel keys before my luggage arrived! MGM has lots to do, close to Mandalay Tram Station, NYNY, Coke and MM store and Gameworks. Lots of Pools, hot tubs, lazy river etc. Gaming was fun and drink service was excellent. Big casino - easy to get turned around and lost! Deluxe Rooms nice, but average in many ways. Pros: Lots to do, Close to Everything Cons: Parking, Getting Lost more

One of the best meals of my life 4/20/2003

Simple, bold, unadorned and unapologetic. I was skeptical at the menu and the lack of garnish/decoration on the food, but the tastes of the grilled quail, the kobe beef and the hangar steak were amazing. The desserts nearly brought us to tears...Our waiter (Kevin) treated us like the king and queen of Vegas, and kept wine recommendations reasonable. All in, we spent more than $300, and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. Pros: Incredible food, Great service, Good ambiance Cons: Expensive more

MGM - Overall Thoughts 3/10/2003

Great Hotel to stay at if you believe in customer loyalty reward. The hotel believes in rewarding me for loyalty to the hotel by comping my nights and meals. That is a true sign of hotel loyalty. Also, the casino floor personnel are very approachable and considerate. They make every effort to make your stay truly comfortable and fun! more

WOW 2/10/2003

A great deal for the price. very convenient when you are staying at MGM. Pros: large selection, sirloin steak, prime rib Cons: seating more

a Grand buffet worthy of the title 1/23/2003

Went to the MGM Grand Buffet in January 2003 upon a recommendation by my brother and his wife. We're glad we went! Service was outstanding and food was generally very good, though, as in any situation that focuses on such quantity, on occasion the quality was not consistent. The salad bar could use some improvement, though the prepared salad selection was good. Prime rib was tasty--good au jus! HUGE crab legs! Nice selection of side dishes, kid-appropriate foods, and desserts as well. Vegetarians might not have much of a choice, and it certainly isnt quiet or romanticbut then again, its a buffet, so should it be either of those things? We enjoyed it so much, we went again the next evening and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Will go there again. Pros: Service, desserts, clean Cons: Vegetarian selection, noise more

Great Lobster 12/5/2002

The lobster was great. The best we ever had. My potatos gratin were bland. My husband's polenta was good, for polenta. I didn't try his beet salad but it looked very nice. The side dishes are big and enough for two. At $10.00 each, they should be. The waitress brought me the wrong wine and my husbands mint drink was sent back. The waiter didn't know what braised was when I asked him. During the dinner, a new waiter showed up at our table. I would go back for the Lobster. It was worth the $37.00 price. Our bill came to 129.00 for two dinners, two sides and two salads and two drinks. We didn't have reservations and the hostess wanted to sit us by the front door, I refused. Then she sat us by the kitchen, even though the restaurants was empty when we got there. Pros: decor, food presentation, selection of dishes Cons: unknowledgable staff, bland side dishes, expensive more
