Orange Berlin

I went to Orange Berlin as a last minute resort since my regular stylist was booked for the day. I had an event that came up and needed my roots & color touched up by the end of the day. I remember reading a review once that they were great with coloring for blonde highlights. They squeezed me in last minute and when I went there one of the stylists, Luna, had a last minute cancelation. He only had an hour to work on my hair and did an AMAZING job. He immediately understood what I liked and wanted and did more than I expected. There was no question that he & the owner wanted me to walk out of there happy. Luna, thank you so much for saving my day. You are officially my new stylist!! WOW!! What an Amazing place!!! The Salon has a great Vibe and a friendly attitude.. what can I say "I LOVE IT"!!! She knew exactly what I wanted not the other way around like most hair stylist. Martina is fantastic. All I have to give her are general directions like "just a trim" or "I want it to be able to grow out beautifully," and she makes it look amazing and it lasts for months! She knows what looks good for each face and hair type, so it's easy to trust her! Prices are great for the service and superb quality of your cut. And the locations is fantastic (blocks away from Beverly Center), so it's easy to get to by bus or walking. Ecstatic with my cut at Orange Berlin - and I'm piiiicky! Brigitte is a dream, lovely to talk with and did an amazing AMAZING job. And again, I'm PICKY!! Prices are also extremely reasonable, as well, and the salon is a fabulous little sanctuary to disappear into for an hour or so. Can't wait for my next visit! more

I went in today to Orange Berlin for the first time and had an absolutely lovely experience. Martina and her staff were attentive to the my needs and to the needs of their other clients. Everyone at Orange Berlin listened to what their clients wanted---not to short--not too long---not too straight---not too dark, etc. I needed a new look and Martina worked her magic. I have been to many stylists all over town in the past 10 years who either don't listen to you and creatively do their own thing, or they are far too conservative and you can't even tell you have had a haircut for the money that you have paid. With Martina, she listened and now I have an entirely new color and new cut= a totally new look! I love it and I have already received many complements. When I moved to LA I had been used to getting my haircut in Detroit at the local equivalent of a Supercuts...by a lucky accident I stumbled into one of Monica's old salon's 5 years ago. In a hurry, and feeling weird about being a straight guy in a fancy salon, Monica sat me down quickly, made me feel comfortable with her great sense of humor, and quickly fixed me up with an actual 'Haircut', not just the usual 'Chop job" I'd been used to. I followed Brigitte over from Clark Nova, and I'm so glad that I did. I already knew that Brigitte was an absolutely amazing stylist, but Orange Berlin is a really great salon. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the space itself is very open and inviting. It's a really cute, really open salon and I can't wait to go back. And Brigitte really is fabulous. My hair is pretty ridiculous and unmanageable, but she really takes the time to make sure that it's perfect, unlike other stylists I've had who have given up halfway through a cut. Im a guy with really hard wavy and thick hair to cut. No one has ever done it right the way I needed it to look until Monica. Shes an artist when it comes to texture. I have only lived in LA for a year and have yet to find a salon that can highlight and cut my hair the way I want. About 2 months ago I discovered Orange Berlin and I refuse to go anywhere else from now on. Brigitte gave me a fabulous cut as well as a blow dry - just because she "likes playing with my hair." most stylists send me out of the salon with damp hair because mine is very thick and takes forever to dry. Not Brigitte. She says she loves giving blow outs and it's fun for her! Last week Brigitte gave me balayage highlights, which I had never received before (only foils), and they look amazing! She has great technique and she's also lots of fun to talk to. All the staff I've met at Orange Berlin so far are very sweet and welcoming, and the new place is beautiful. If you aren't totally satisfied with your current salon, I definitely recommend coming to Orange Berlin! Pros: Extremely friendly staff, beautiful new space Cons: None to speak of more

Outside of being INCREDIBLY talented, Martina is so sweet, beautiful, funny and has great style. She's created a space that is light-filled, elegant and hip and has hired a team who compliment her ideals. It's a joy to be there and I can't recommend Martina and Orange Berlin any higher. more

I recently went to the newly opened Orange Berlin Salon and had an amazing experience. Brigette is AWESOME!! She is so accommodating to scheduling and does a fantastic job with color! Recently returning from a 2 month vacation, I had forgotten how amazing it felt to walk out of their salon with the color EXACTLY how you want it! All of the stylist there are true professionals and perfectionists. LOVE the new place! more

I found Bridgitte as a walk in when I was still somewhat satisfied with my current stylist, but needed an appointment fast. Bridgeitte did everything she could to work with my schedule and get me in. I had no idea what hair hell I was living in until Bridgitte lifted me out of it. I had no idea my hair could feel that soft or be that low maintenece and still look good. I've been getting my hair highlighted since I was 12 and had learned that there is always an acceptance period after you get your color done, eventually I would get use to my new hair. Not with Bridgitte. Everytime I sit down in her chair I know I am in for a few hours of fun, great conversation, and a relaxing experience. Every time I leave I feel like the best version of myself. Last time Bridgitte followed me out of the salon because you could see how happy I was with each step to my car. She is the best!!!! She listens to what you want and perfectly executes a highlight/ trim/ cut, whatever you may need while fufilling your needs and doing what's best for your hair. She great with men, women, and children. I refer everyone I know. Pros: talented, fresh, and an overall joy!! more

I met with Bridgitte, who is simply put--a rock star. She cares about her craft. And most importantly, gave me the best haircut I've had in years, and I've been to The Parlour, Vous, and other trendy Melrose-y places in that league. The value for the price (for a men's haircut which is what brought me there) is hands-down the best in town. They are hip, attentive, professional, relaxed, give you the appropriate amount of attention, everything a haircut experience should be. For guys interested in not supercuts, but don't have the bread to venture into the $70+ cut, give these guys a shot. I've been there once so far, but I think I've found a home. Bridgitte is awesome, and I'm reluctant to give too positive a review and let the cat out of the bag----kinda want her all to myself. But, there it is, out of the bag. This place is a no-brainer. Pros: Friendly Staff, Welcoming environment, European Flair! Cons: parking can be a bit dicey around there... but figure it out more
