LOVED the OLIVER PEOPLE'S I GOT FROM HERE! LOVED THE PRICE EVEN MORE! LESS THAN IVE EVER SPENT. It was a bit hard to find but that would be my ONLY complaint. The woman Donna was super professional and informative. Could not have picked my perfect frames with out here! Will come back here soon for sunglasses! more

This optical store is a winner! I love it here. My vision is much better with my new prescription and i dont feel ripped off. How great is that. The staff is nice and don't try to bother you with the higher end frames even though i can afford them. I spent less then 150$ and got everything i need for the next year. more

I got so happy with my new prescription that i actually thought of a good idea of saying thank you. Got my eye exam less then a month ago from their financial district location and i get much less headaches now. This optical store in 10004 is the best in Manhattan. Love optical insight. The service is quick precise and not pushy at all. Just listen and you will understand concepts, plans, and recommended eye solutions. Go here but make sure you do your research before you get contact lenses. I did my research and the optician told me exactly what i already knew ( meaning he was honest ).Prices are great and service was perfect. Great price for its value. I will always buy lenses from here. Less headache for a person like my self living and working in the financial district of New York. more

i wasn't born with 20/20 vision nor was i born with a bad vision. Eventually your vision deteriorates i guess so i opted for a visit at what my friends say is the the best optical store in our area. Yea the prices are great and i never knew i look a tiny bit better with my new frame. Customer service was great , i forgot the girl's name but i appreciated her help with all 80 of my questions. So i compared optical stores in Manhattan and I'm being completely honest , i went to probably 5 in 10004 of New York and said ill come back to buy. When i came here i did not feel pressured and felt like the staff was very professional and reliable. After the eye exam , they explained what i needed , not which glasses frames and lenses i needed , not what the wanted me to buy. Price was good and my frames were stellar! more

Really liked the service here and they have a lot to choose from. The girl behind the counter, brown hair and brown eyes - she was really nice and good at what she does and the guy who made the glasses was fast and didn't mess around. They definitely have experience here. Walked out with a nice pair of glasses during my lunch. 2 thumbs up. more

i was in shock, when i came out of the store, Optical Insight. my eye sight has never been 20 x 20, not even with glasses, due to the lack of support and service that ive been receiving from various optical stores.the day i decided to switch optometrists, the switch resulted in a way that was very beneficial to my life, and the way i literally see the world. what great and caring service came to my attention as i stepped foot through the doors to the amazing store that changed my life. i dont know what they did, but whatever it was, worked on me. i was elated to wear my new glassed as i walked out the door, feeling free, like i was a new person with 20 x 20 vision. i also took a pack of contacts home with me to try as well. my eyes usually got irritated fast, therefore, i thought it was a waste of money. although, when i tried on the contacts from this store, optical insight, it was a relief to discover the new item was a big helper. they were moist, and i felt no irritation coming through my eyes. within a week later, when the pack ran out, briefly made a trip back to Optical Insight, to buy a whole set. to top it off, the staff was so sweet, and worked their system rapidly with no flaws. i am in luck for noticing the store on my way before work one day. more

My coworker recommended I'd come here during lunch for an exam. The exam was very thorough and Dr. Cai is very personable. I picked out glasses and got them while I waited. I really recommend this place. I am now a loyal customer for life. more

I recently had the pleasure of shopping for both glasses and contact lenses at Optical Insight. The owner of the store was unbelievably helpful with his suggestions for me from the large selection of designer and non-designer frames. I was promised that the glasses would be ready in 24 hours, and sure enough they were!!! I will definitely go to Optical Insight the next time I need glasses!! more

I was a customer for over 10 years for both glasses and contacts, and spent a great deal of money there. I always knew they were expensive, but dealt with it due to my very tricky perscription. Recently, there was a problem due to the recommendation of their own optometrist. Instead of apologizing for the fact that their doctor was less than competent, I was literally verbally assaulted for no reason, as if the owner was taking all his life frustrations out on me. His assistant was no better. They are expensive, have terrible doctors (they seem to change often, no wonder...) and are extremely hostile. Stay far away. Cons: dishonest, rude more

I have been a customer along with my wife for about 3 years. We have gotten many pairs of glasses contacts and supllies. Never a deal or anything . Does not matter how loyal a customer a person is you are just a sale. The girl who works there is just selling , selling , selling. And the Dr. is a short tempered salesman as well. Pros: Nice mens and woman selections but not the best styles. Cons: Rip off. more

I went there on the recommendation of a coworker. I had broken my glasses and was in a real bind since I was going on vacation in 2 days. They fit me in to see the doctor, who gave me a very thorough and professional exam. The young lady who helped me with the glasses was extremely knowledgeable about every frame, lens and extra that I could want or need. Since I have a high prescription, she helped me find something hip and stylish without making my lenses look crazy thick. She was very sweet and patient, I think she showed me every frame in the shop! The optician came out (I think he's the owner) and told me he would put a ""super rush"" on my glasses and have them by the next day...which he did! I am thrilled with the service I received from beginning to end...plus I see great with the new prescription. Pros: Professional, Knowledgeable and Fast Service Cons: Not open on weekends more

went there for eye exam and new glasses, they over-prescribed me and made me dizzy. had to go back four times to correct it AND got attitude. 500$ down the drain. what a waste. go to FOR EYES by grand central . Cons: CAN'T SEE CRP, RIPPED OFF more
