Estimate was $1000 and when they were done they wanted $1500 plus tax! Do not fall for it, do not let them on your property! more

Tree trimming 6/5/2012

We were very overdue for trimming so they came and trimmed every tree in our yard! An excellent job was done; efficient workers who worked as a team; meticulous clean-up; fair price!! We were very pleased! Gustafson/Quade more

Good work poor billing practice 3/4/2012

I had Oleson's trim 9 large Elm & Ash trees, remove 5 large pines(close proximity to house & remove 2 dead trees. The workers were polite, efficient and the yard looks great, however after my original quote there was added fee later for stump grinding and the credit card charge came in higher than was agreed upon by a few hundred dollars. i was told it was for credit card fees and sales tax, but not until after they ran my credit card through. although i think their work is good, i would be sure you know all the fees up front & pay with check. more

Do noy use Oleson's tree service for any job big or small. My job was not completed but that did not stop them from trying to collect MORE the original "estimate" and then they add sales tax and extra changes never mentioned before. These are not nice people. Get them off your property as soon as you can. more

At about 10am yesterday morning a young man named darrell came to my door and offers me an estimate.... i accepted and a man named levi keehr came to my home and gave me an estimate ..... the price was amazing and i accepted the offer .... the team did an amazing job and great clean up , i am very satisfied with the work done would highly recommend them to everyone .... thank you so much for the amazing job.... my yard looks better than ever more

Top Notch Job 10/24/2011

Oleson's Tree Service finished cutting down 6 pine trees on my son's property in Brookfield yesterday. Chris gave us a very reasonable quote at 3pm on Saturday and the crew was there by 3:20pm. They dropped 3 large pine trees between my son's house and his neighbor's house 20 feet away that were spot on. Don't hesitate to have this crew do work for you. All 3 guys doing the work were pleasant and accommodating. Everything about them was professional from start to finish. more

do yourself a favor ad get another quote especially after a storm. If you don't be prepared for them to come collect (at your home) what the insurance didn't pay. more

Got the job done 9/2/2011

I hired them when they came through our Brookfield, WI neighborhood. They did not show up when they promised, but did show up the next day (was a weekend so fine with us.) Took down about 4 huge dead elms that were way beyond my spouse's capability. Chipped the trees for us and charged about $ 400. To hire a local arborist to do same would have cost several thousand dollars. Since I didn't need finesse, just cut and chip, the work was a bargain and saved my spouse days of work climbing and cutting on his own. It was some of the best money I've ever spent. more

Fantastic Job!!!! 8/17/2011

Chris one of the salesman knocked on my door a few weeks ago. He told me that they were from Little Falls and that they were cutting down a few big trees in the neighborhood a few days later. He offered me a great price to trim up my three trees because it was a small job and they were going to be here anyways. I agreed to the price and then went and checked them out on the internet to make sure they were legit. I found some bad reviews here on Judy's List and I was scared to go through with it. It was my first time hiring a arborist so I was nervous to begin with. Chris told me before hand about the reviews and he was 100% honest. My wife convinced me to keep the appointment and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. It's like I have an entire new yard. They did a fantastic job and they didn't wreck anything or leave any evidence that they were even at my house. I would definetly refer them to my friends/family and neighbors because the price and service can not be beat. They should be charging more money. Matt S. Golden Valley, MN more

Not Reputable 6/22/2011

Do not confuse Oleson's Tree Service for a reputable company. I thought it was funny my "estimate" had no billing information, and then I found out why. it's because they will just COME TO YOUR house to collect with a new bill that magically jumps in price by hundreds of dollars! do not fall for storm chasers or "we are in the area working", (100 miles away?) it is a scam, call a local reputable company from your area. more

need patience and a few more cuts 6/4/2011

verbal agreement to fall two trees with a one day notice of when! i got a one and a half hour notice,expected a mess ,but did not expect destroying a 10 inch ash,20 inch basswood,and two six inch maples. won't go into destroying $400 worth of hostas and lillies. don't know who was calling the shots or who the 'hack" was up in the tree,but i don't need his bs.unless i get a response,i am leaving my options open to include, but not limited to contacting the bbb,atty gen., city of deephaven,.etc. tf more

Revised after post read on Judy's Book. 5/20/2011

I previously posted a 1-star review of this company. The sales rep contacted me after he read my review. He felt bad about the whole situation. Miscommunication on the price etc. Since hearing his side, I do feel bad about the harsh review. They did their job, they did it fast etc. UPDATE: I am working with a different company to grind the stump, which originally I contacted 3 companies to get quoted from. I wish I would've gone with one of the other companies to begin with because all the quotes came back roughly the same price stump grinding included. So having to pay another $500 to get rid of the stump isn't bad. Just make sure you know what your getting and get it in writting. They did a good job getting rid of the tree, did it within a day. I do not wish bad on this company, I am sure they can get the job done very efficiently. In hindsight re-reading the review, it sounded too harsh. The only bad thing I can say is that one of the employees trapped a flying squirrel in a jar THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, my wife had gotten home to let it free as previously stated in old review. more

Do Not USe Oleson's Tree Service 2/4/2011

The sales rep gave me a price of $2800, the day they said they would start, they showed up an 1-1/2 hrs late. Then after they were done, they changed the price to $3000. Then they have the nerve to say that the stump grinding was not included. They never had anything in writting, Oleson's Tree Service is real shady business operation. The Tree guys were also very unprofessional, trapping a squirrel in a jar, until my wife came home to release it. more

"best ever in the whole world" Don't be suspicios that you will get an invoice with no date, invoice number. licence number or adress on it, you can trust them! Don't be suspicios there are no negative reviews, they are that AWESOME. Don't be suspicios at all, you CAN trust these super awesome people! more

Thought you should know! 1/10/2011

Oleson's Tree Service was fortunate enough to have Google make a mix up and linked all their reviews to my website. They had 17 one star reviews before Judysbook had to delete them for deformation of character. The stories were hilarious.....Paid in full never came back to grind stumps, made me nervous and destroyed my mailbox overnite, ran over my drain field and down spout, quoted one price and demanded another, claimed using tree spikes was the only way to get in trees while pruning. Wandering around my property unwanted and unneeded. Flipped me off on highway 94. My dogs didnt even like them, they like everybody. I'm missing a few but they were damn funny! They had 2.4 stars before I made them "look good." Sorry to all the people out there who got scammed. Be an informed consumer! Theres plenty of professional ISA Certified Arborsits who can bring out the best in your trees and shrubs. more

These guys did a major pruning on our massive Weeping Willow. They were careful, quick, and there were no surprise charges. I am recommending them to my neighbors already! more

Great bunch of guys 10/25/2010

I have done work with Oleson's Tree Service in the past and have been very pleased with the work they have done.I had a hollow tree in my yard it had fell across my driveway.I called Curt and told him my situation that i needed to go to work and could not leave.Curt assared me he will take care of it he had a truck here in about a hour.Curt and three other guys worked in the rain to clear my driveway. Great company 10/24/2010

I had mike as a sales repersentative. He came gave me a estimate that was reasonably priced and had his crew do the job just as I wanted it done. Never asked to be paid until I returned home and was satisfied. He also did work for my neighbors. We are one happy neighborhood. I would recommend him and plan to have him back in my yard. more
