I love going to Angie O'Sullivan at Lokahi Acupuncture! I suffered through insomnia and muscle stiffness caused by everyday stresses for years before I found Angie. I have been going to Angie for over 3 years. I can honestly say she is an angel here on earth. Angie is extremely intuitive and knows the exact points to leave me feeling like I am floating with the clouds. I highly recommend Angie at Lokahi to my friends and family all the time. Although my insomnia is gone, I often go just for a well balance tune up. I feel so relaxed and at peace when I leave. I have had a bad back for several years and decided to give acupuncture a try. I made my first appointment at Lokahi Acupuncture, with Angie. My first impression upon walking into Lokahi was how soothing and calm the environment is. Angie immediately put me at ease with her gentle demeanor and how well she listened to all of my concerns. The moment you walk in the door you will feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. I had been with an illness for over six months by the time I found Anna @ Lokahi. I had seen other acupuncturist and doctors and was told I could not be helped. I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. Anna listened to my history and medical problems with such interest and care. After about 3-4 sessions and with some Chinese herbs, I started to feel such a difference! I used to not leave the house for fear of ""flare ups"" with my illness but with Anna's help @ Lokahi, I am now feeling much better and have gotten my life back. Although I was only able to go once to see Angie, she was great. She made me feel very at ease, as it was my first experience with acupuncture. I felt so full of energy when I left I was amazed. The back pain I was expereincing wasn't completely gone, but I'm sure had I been able to continue treatments with Angie, we would have seen significant improvements. I am a Chiropractor and started seeing Anna after a knee surgery. I was amazed how quickly I recovered. My surgeon even commented on how quickly I healed post surgery. Since then, I have sent numerous patients to Anna ranging from sinus problems to foot pain and everything in between. Everyone I have sent has been just as happy as I was. A friend at work who knows I suffer from after affects of agressive chemotherapy suggested I visit Anna. It has made a world of difference for me both physically and mentally. Everyone in the office is warm and caring. Their interest in a patient's overall well-being is genuine. Even after a stressful day at work I leave Lokahi feeling peaceful and in a better place. My ten year old daughter Becca was the one to insist on trying acupuncture to help with her allergies. She was tired of taking her medication and wanted to try something else. We have noticed the difference in overall health issues and enjoy our treatments despite the nature of the procedure. We both look forward to our treatments and start feeling the mellowness before we even get to the office and upon entering the waiting room-- it is just the greatest stress reducer. Anna Rudel?s acupuncture clinic is by far the best that I have experienced in the Bay Area. She uses a combination of techniques varying from acupuncture to Chinese bodywork (massage) to cupping and Chinese herbs. Her treatments provide me with remarkable relief from stress and anxiety and in every case the final result was a total feeling of wellness and improvement to my overall health. And when I had a physical problem with my shoulder, as a result of a pilates session, Anna brought me out of excruciating pain in one session. I visit her on a regular basis for ""maintenance"" work and follow-ups since I have learned that on-going treatments are the best preventive medicine. Anna's gentle touch, words of reassurance and relaxing manner make for a wonderful experience, she definitely has tremendous skill and genuine care for her patients.
