After dealing with another mortuary prior to my father's death, I called Oakdale. Not only were we given compassion and empathy but they treated us like family. I dealt with Rebecca, Mary and Katelynn prior to, after the death and during the funeral there and they could not have been nice or more loving. I wish all mortuarys were this way. I can't say enough good things about them. They got all A++++ in my family's eyes. Everyone was just wonderful. more

A beautiful place filled with caring personnel 8/15/2009

When we discovered that my mother was terminally ill with just weeks to live, we were at a complete loss as to where to turn. The original plan was to bury my parents in Texas where they had met and married. Realizing that my father was not going to be able to travel, and my mother would be buried thousands of miles from Southern California where she lived her entire adult life, that plan quickly went away. Oakdale is only minutes away from where I live and I had often driven by and admired its appearance from "outside". At this intense time of planning and decision making I took a drive through the property and was amazed by the beautiful and meticulous landscape. The Chapel is beautiful, like a mountain lodge with large windows and stone on the walls. The staff was extraordinary in their care and attention to detail and compassion. Our Family Planner and guide was Joyce Dieux, and we are truly grateful that she was the one that was able to help us through this most difficult t more

I called Oakdale when my husband died suddenly. I had never had to deal with this kind of thng before, but my stepson & an uncle 's death were handled here & it was the only one I could think of at the time. I am so glad I did. They made the process easy and I got exactly what I wanted. Absolutely no high pressure sales. Timothy, my Family Care Specialist, was always at the other end of the phone when I needed him, and let me tell you, we gave him a couple of scares! Cool under pressure. I highly recommend Oakdale, would give them 15 stars if I could. Every person we dealt with was kind, compassionate and capable. Not much more you can ask for. Do not hesitate to call Oakdale if and when you need to. You won't be sorry. Jeri B more

peaceful location 2/23/2008

Oakdale is a beautiful, peaceful location for a final resting place. I've been to several funerals at Oakdale and the services are always done very well. The people are very kind and helpful at a time that is usually very difficult for a person.My parents bought cemetery lots here and have planned their funerals in advance. They have liked the service and prices. They will work out a payment plan to help you with expenses. more
