When we discovered that my mother was terminally ill with just weeks to live, we were at a complete loss as to where to turn. The original plan was to bury my parents in Texas where they had met and married. Realizing that my father was not going to be able to travel, and my mother would be buried thousands of miles from Southern California where she lived her entire adult life, that plan quickly went away. Oakdale is only minutes away from where I live and I had often driven by and admired its appearance from "outside". At this intense time of planning and decision making I took a drive through the property and was amazed by the beautiful and meticulous landscape. The Chapel is beautiful, like a mountain lodge with large windows and stone on the walls. The staff was extraordinary in their care and attention to detail and compassion.
