NIGHTMARE!!!!!! NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!\r All bad things happened to my family and me. I had to pay them cash, which was double than I quoted from them since they threaten me and would transport all our furniture back to their warehouse if I do not pay them and sign the documents before they unload our furniture. I called their manage, who was very rude to me when I tried to complain about the issue. NO HELP AT ALL. My wife has been pregnant for 5 months, we also have 4 years old daughter. They even left some furniture on our driveway after they took my money and just gone....... NEVER USE THEM!!!! If you do not want to get in trouble with them. We will definitely file a complaint to Department of Transportation. more

They are TERRIBLE! Three teenagers showed up 2.5 hours late, smelling of alcohol and cigs and who knows what else. They were suppose to call me the day before to confirm and didn't. Although I had a contract (and confirmation #) for 3 hours they tried to get me to pay for 5 hours BEFORE they started moving. When I said that the packing the truck took less than three and my contract was for that amount, they LEFT! They left me high and dry on a Saturday with a rental truck full of furniture. When I contacted their offices that day the ""manager"" gave me the run around and offered no help. The boy movers left their hand truck (which I gave away to their replacement) and I have tried to contact the office since and have been yelled at and hung up on. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Please, save your possessions and sanity and DON""T USE THIS COMPANY. more

I read all these wonderful reviews of this company, I called and spoke to them at least 3 times and asked about any hidden costs and recompense for any damage, etc and thought I had finally tricked the system of bad movers and actually found a good one ....but then it came time for the move it was Dawn Moving company that showed up - NOT Baltimore Best Movers. I am leaving this review for Baltimore Best movers because when I called to complain about the fiasco of a move I was told that the two companies are the same. The entire move was one big disaster. I was working at the hospital and they had strict instructions to call my fiance about the move -- I got 5 phone calls in the space of about 20 minutes because the guys couldnt find that place. These 5 phone calls were also about 45 minutes after when they were supposed to show up. When they got there they had none of the moving materials that we had been promised as part of our moving package had been brought- something I had confirmed over the phone 3 times before the move. Then they broke a ton of my stuff; my fiance literally watched a shelf fall off a precarious pile of our belongings as the mover was moving. The wardrobes that were finally produced at no bar in them so the mover took a piece of a collapsable laundry hamper to use as a bar without asking - needless to say the plastic piece broke. Then they apparently didnt have covers to protect the furniture so they took the handmade quilt off my bed taped it around a piece of furniture - obviously without asking; the quilt was permanently damaged. Even after specific instructions to move furniture in the new place into the same rooms as they had removed it from the old place, we had dining room furniture in the bed room and bed room furniture in the living room and my desk was in the walk in closet. All in all I totaled about $600 worth of damage and that was being really forgiving and they only compensated me about $300 after about 4 weeks of trying to track them down on the phone; as it I finally had to threaten legal action to even get these people on the phone. We are also sure that the movers stole a box of liquor worth another $300, some of which is not replaceable since it was collected from various travels; it was there at the beginning of the move and not when they left. Look out and save yourself the absolute disaster! more

I've moved 3 times with Best Movers Baltimore Moving Company and I just had the best move in my life on the last week! They gave us a very accurate estimate over the phone and help us plan our move. Soon their local dispatch called us and confirmed the job and went over the details. He also seemed very polite and professional, and assured us everything is going as it planed and the movers will come tomorrow @ 9 am. Not only did they show up on time but they packed nearly our entire apartment. Shortly after arriving, the Forman provided us with detailed information about the day and they started to work right away. Thank god they came with extra boxes and moving supplies and actually that we didn't even realize we will be needed! The packing obviously took much longer but once we arrived at our house they unpacked us in record time and even help us to reassemble some of our furniture. Back in June the contract in my apartment was about to expire so I was looking for a good moving company. I researched sometime in the internet, yellow pages etc. After calling a few, I realized that the lady from the customer service agent from this company was different than the others I called before. Always friendly, had an answer for all my questions or at least knew who to ask or where to look for it a.s.a.p. The price the offered me for my 2 bedroom move was way lower than the other estimates I got so far so I decided to schedule the move. The night before I received a call from the manager to verify one last time the pick-up address and the direction of the destination so that everything would work fine. The move was scheduled for 8.30am and the movers already arrived with 3 guys at 8.10am so we won a little time thanks the early arrival. They packed and loaded my stuff really quick and you could see immediately that they knew what they were doing. At the destination the unwrapped and unloaded my stuff and put them in the decided places, all this really quick and professional. After I had my stuff and was able to verify that nothing got damaged I paid the bill in the easiest manner with my Visa card. All in all I can say that it was a very good choice to hire this guys! Friendly stuff, fast work, best price and skillful movers. Communications was also great, so I can recommend these guys without any doubts at all! Thanks for the great job! more

Hiring a professional mover for the first time, I was a little anxious and skeptical. But since my company was paying for it, I wanted to make it as easy as myself as possible. First, I called around getting estimates. Most of the professional movers were about the same price for the 2 bedroom apartment worth of contents I had to be moved over 1,000 miles. It took a little while to understand all of the fine print like the binding and non-binding estimates, as well as insurance and limitations of liability. I opted to go with this company. The gentleman was very courteous and prompts with the phone calls and faxes, and explained everything fairly well to me. I had a lot of questions, and most of them were answered quite well. I decided to pack my own things since they would be stored in a storage unit prior to being moved. If moving things from or to a storage unit, choose a unit that is easily accessible to an 18-wheeler. I had a 20x10' unit pretty much full. I didn't get insurance since I didn't have anything too valuable and felt that I packed everything very well myself. I was given a 2-day window for pickup and a 5-day window for drop-off. I was told they would call for instructions the day before and so they did. Great communication and everything worked out extremely well for pickup. For loading, the driver and worker did very well while a family member watched. For drop-off, the driver had excellent communication, and I was able to fax maps to the driver to aid in the 18-wheeler-unfriendly roads in my area. The driver arrived on the first day of the 5-day drop-off period, at the planned time. The driver and worker were professional and courteous and everything was handled with great care. My furniture didn't appear to have any additional wear. I was most worried about a nice bedroom suite, but careful inspection showed it made the move great. The only thing I did notice was the corner of one wall near the corridor appeared to have been scraped by some furniture, only requiring some touch-up painting. Overall, a very good job. more

Score: 5-stars++. Excellent, Highly recommended! I communicated with the manager over the phone and email. He ?architected? the entire move and helped me with couple of ?money saving? advises (because it was my first move). Professional communication; Excellent responsiveness. The moving team: Vlad (fluent with both Russian and Romanian) and George. The team arrived 5 minute before the scheduled time. Assessed the actual volume in 5 min and accomplished the entire move in 5 hours with zero interference from my side. Both guys worked as ?wrapping-packing-moving-unwrapping? machines! Extremely impressive! I was really happy that I decided to hire them instead of doing this move myself (what I actually considered after reading all negativities about moving companies in this and couple of other forums). Bottom line: I would recommend these guys to anyone! Comments: a) Don?t save on wrapping the furniture even if you move around the corner. Let the team to wrap everything in blankets and fix it with scotch tape, - walls in your new place may say ?thank you? for that. b) In my opinion it is physically impossible for 2 movers to pack furniture only in 2-bed rooms apartment in 2 hours. 3 hours for packing should be used for estimation. c) Ask the customer service about pricelist for expenses you may have along the way (like scotch tape or boxes). It is good to know about them when you are budgeting your move. more

I am very happy with the quality of work these Movers provided to our family. We left our home area for job relocation and have looked and looked for accredited moving companies that are certified and have great recommendations. This one came up to be one of the top. I contacted them and customer service was just amazing. Jim, the GM, helped me through the process, provided me a quote quickly explaining all costs related to my move. No hidden charges. All information was presented on the quote. I shopped around a little bit and many companies were not providing me with the full picture and were not honest about possible fees. Thanks to Jim, he gave me a few tips on what questions needed to be asked to have the true answer. When I asked these questions to the competitors, there were hesitant to answer. This is when I knew it could have been a possible scam. I chose this Moving Company and I am very happy with my choice. It was the best move I realized so far. We've moved several times over the years and used different companies; this company definitely was the best of the moving companies in every way. They were friendly over the phone and in person when the moving crew showed up; even though it was over 100 degrees, they didn't slow down or show any signs of wear. The move was a big one and we ordered full packing and unpacking service which they called white glove service and we HIGHLY recommend that service if you can. In our new home there were a few issues due to the parking and streets, their truck which was huge could not fit or even get within any reasonable walking distance had to park several miles away at a shopping center and they had to rent a smaller truck from Budget in order to deliver our furniture and boxes. They told us from the start that it may be a problem but we hoped and prayed for the best. The rental and parking situation put our delivery back a full day and even though their dispatcher Steven had already reserved a back-up rental, when James arrived to pick it up, they informed him that they didn't have it available and apologized and his dispatch then had to hunt down another rental truck which took hours and then finding a place to park this tremendous truck and trailer took another hour or so. We decided due to the size of our shipment to just start the next morning early instead of starting at 4:00 in the afternoon. No other hitches or delays or damages from then on. We appreciate everything their stuff did for us to alleviate any stresses associated with moving. They did an outstanding job and we will refer many other families to them. All in all great service, cheap rates, friendly customer service and very professional movers! more

I just want to tell you about my move. A few weeks ago I got a good job offer in another city, so I started my research in the internet for a good Moving Company. After making many calls with estimates with a very different price range I finally talked to a very friendly customer service lady. She was very comprehensive and explained me all twice if needed. We agreed on a free visual estimate so a few days later 2 movers showed up to do a visual estimate. I thought that I would have to take off a complete day at work, but since they arrived even earlier than schedule and calculated really fast, I only lost a few hours and could go back to work. So I scheduled the move because they offered me the best price from all the estimates I got from the different moving companies. Two days before the scheduled day the manager called me to verify the address and confirmed the details of the move. The day of the move the 3 guys showed up on time and you could immediately tell that they knew what they were doing! They packed and loaded my whole stuff very fast and delivered it faster than expected to my new home! After verifying the new stuff, I realized that nothing got really damaged, just some minor scratches which were covered by the insurance. So no problems at all! Since I had no trouble at all, they offered the best price and it went all very quickly and smoothly, I don't hesitate to recommend them to anybody who is looking for a good moving company. Given the phrasing choices used in these reviews, I was a little concerned about their legitimacy. \r \r I looked at other postings by the users who posted about Best Movers Baltimore. Those other postings typically were for other moving companies in other parts of the country, with nearly identical reviews - in many cases only place names were changed.\r \r Based on this evidence, I suspect a substantial majority of postings for Baltimore Best Movers up through 7/23/2011 - both the good ones AND the bad ones - are fake. There are positive reviews from posters who did not post elsewhere, which may be valid, but I would be wary of them given the way the postings are phrased and the overall propensity for fake reviews on this company.\r \r I would also be wary of a flurry of indignant postings in response to this one from users claiming this review has it all wrong, or a large inflow of new postings that just happen to bury this one at the bottom of the pile. In a truthful forum, one would expect at minimum thoughtful/qualified follow up (more likely no follow up) from other users, and probably a lower rate of new postings after this one than before it.\r \r I haven't used this moving company, but believe one star is merited, since the party most likely to be posting fake reviews is the company itself, and a firm lacking in ethics in this regard is unlikely to practice fair dealing in its other affairs. more

We used this Baltimore moving service company based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move to Delaware. My company was paying for the service, the $1260 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our long distance move. \r Their staff arrived 15 minutes early and loaded our third-floor two-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. They were very careful with everything, and dealt with care and really well with our furniture. The amount they could haul was amazing! We met them in the city and they sent an extra guy to help with the unload, which made it a lot quicker considering the small elevator. The unload took about 2.5 hours, so the whole day (load, drive, unload) took 12 hours. They came in a little over the estimate, but we paid the capped rate and we gave just over a $250 tip. \r We really liked their help from the customer service, and their rates and the pricing policy. The guys were all very nice, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to use them again if possible in future moves.\r more

The entire stuff including our moving crew and the Office staff were courteous, professional, and worked very hard, helping us to schedule our relocation and the movers for carrying heavy furniture and boxes up and down stairs for 5+hours. I had heard from some of my friends how many movers are kind and courteous till they take your money and then the work is outsourced to some other company. Well but I had to move so I called the first company that I saw online with a decent number of positive reviews and that was this mover . When I called their Customer Service office they were very friendly and their office manager nice and friendly young lady gave me a price quote that was very accurate. I wasn’t charged extra for anything except $75 for packaging some of my stuff I decided to add. The driver and the movers were at my house on time and my stuff was delivered with no damages and on time. I would be happy to recommend this company to my friends and to anyone planning on moving soon. They packed and wrapped everything with care and the entire move happened to be just a stress-free moving experience! Well I really like the level of moving service this moving company provides. They helped me out so much with a move I could never have done by myself or even with friends. I collect some rare antique furniture, and they took such a care with everything. I was so impressed, the only negative is that they showed up about 15 minutes late...no big deal really. But they were on time to deliver my furniture, they also reassembled my furniture for me for free. Love their service and their accurate estimate price. Their staff was very friendly to me and it was a pleasant and helpful communication with their customer service, the lady was very nice and informative, she explained all the details and rates for packing and moving service. Had Best Movers Baltimore Moving Company move me out of my apartment over the weekend. I was in a bind and had to get out asap. Landlord problems but thats for another sight. Called these guys had them pack up my place and there were done in no time. They really hauled it to make my elevator slot. To make a long story short they were extremly professional, took great care of my furniture and the price of $490 was excellent! Happy i stumbled on to them. \r Happy Customer. more
