Great for Mardi Gras & the disabled 4/27/2005

The Marriott is on Canal and this is great because it's close to the parade routes during Mardi Gras. You can go out onto the street and walk alittle ways to catch the parades. And it's within walking distance to Bourbon Street. Also the Marriott has a stand set up right in front of the hotel so you can eat cajun food and get hurricanes without having to hunt the stuff down. Furthermore it is very handicapped accessible. Warning: leave luggage in the room. If you don't they may give your room away. This happened to me but they made it up to me by giving me my entire stay free. PROS: handicapped accessible CONS: some lack of communication betweeb maids, clerks, & mgr. more

Great Value 10/22/2003

It didn't feel very New Orleans, but it was a great price, and a nice room. Everything was clean. The location really isn't bad. You can walk to some bars or a 5 dollar cab ride will get you anywhere else. The only complaint I have would be the bell hops. They took 2 hours getting our luggage up to the room. Pros: Value, Clean, Location Cons: CHain hotel, Bell hops more
