The Marriott is on Canal and this is great because it's close to the parade routes during Mardi Gras. You can go out onto the street and walk alittle ways to catch the parades. And it's within walking distance to Bourbon Street. Also the Marriott has a stand set up right in front of the hotel so you can eat cajun food and get hurricanes without having to hunt the stuff down. Furthermore it is very handicapped accessible. Warning: leave luggage in the room. If you don't they may give your room away. This happened to me but they made it up to me by giving me my entire stay free.

CONS: some lack of communication betweeb maids, clerks, & mgr.
