Neffsville Plumbing and Heating

I'm going to be as factual as I can be. I needed a water softener hooked up to my existing plumbing in the basement. I already had the water softener in place where it made sense. The estimate (which you pay for) was for $830! I was beyond perplexed and asked the tech what is going to make this job require a $830 price tag, and he simply refused to even go back down in the basement and show me anything. I believe his literal words were ""take it or leave it."" My only regret was that I forked over the cost to get this ridiculous estimate done. I will never consider them for another job. In the end, I had a handy person do this simple job for me for less than 25% of what Neffsville Plumbing and Heating's estimate would have cost. more

Did Not ask for steve the (water wizzard) he came into my home and was very rude and kept asking me to help him, i would not suggest neffsville plumbing & heating or the water wizzard to anybody or my friends. more

We had a plumbing problem during a holiday and they sent someone over to the house roughly 3 hours after we called. He seemed like he was on something and he looked around the house before giving an estimate like he was trying to see what we could afford. He said he would do some other work while repairing the issue and than never did it while charging us for that service. Neffsville than sent someone else out to our house to complete the first guy's job and he had the nerve to lecture my husband about our plumbing and than try to sell a water softener to him for thousands of dollars. I had used them based on other user reviews and felt compelled to add mine after my experience. I no longer use Neffsville and would not recommend them to anyone. more

I listed all these cons because i'm not sure which one is really the issue. either they're incompetent and don't know what they're doing and tell me i need things i don't or, they're purposely telling me i need unnecessary work done, and they must charge about $600/hr for labor at the estimates they gave me. Their estimate of $750 and a new part, turned into 2 new wires and 10 minutes of work when i called a respectable contractor. Trust me, stay away from Neffsville heating/plumbing. Neffsville is a big company that's been around a long time so you figure they would do a good job, right? Well the foreman hires guys who spend an hour or two talking to the wife instead of working, the guy blasts heavy metal music in your house while they work, spits in your driveway, the guy then damages your house by pounding through your old plaster walls and then refuses to fix his damages. Then the foreman has intentionally underbid the job when he should've known better and they didn't bother to clear a permit with the township. Just save yourself the headache and go with a better place than this. The only good thing you can say is that the work has held up, so far, and the company tries to make it right.
