Best

NEBO is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. It is the perfect mix of sophistication and casual dining for an after work drink, a date night or grabbing a bite to eat before...

Worst

I don't understand the high rating for this restaurant. We ate at NEBO recently and no one in our party would ever go back. The food was OK, but very overpriced. The manager/ow...

Not as good as others say 10/30/2007

Based on previous reviews, I made reservations for Saturday night dinner, for after a 4 o'clock Bruins game. We were a little late for our reservations but I had called & the hostess gladly moved us back 1/2 hour. Once we arrived, we were seated quickly. Atmosphere was comfortably casual and it wasn't too cozy for our group of 6 (although the hall to the bathrooms was unlit & completely dark). Menu was limited, which we expected having looked at their website. Service wasn't overly attentive but friendly. Disappointment came with our meals - all of us agreed this is where they fell short. Dishes were either bland or overpowering. Nebo is not an expensive place, but for the price, the meal did not meet our expectations. This is unfortunate as the balance of our Nebo experience was average to good, but the disappointing food will be the reason we will not return. Pros: good for groups, friendly service Cons: food did not live up to reviews more

Great Find 10/13/2007

I had my hair done next door and they suggested that I try Nebo's for a great drink and food. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was so good and our drinks were also great. The service could have been a bit better but we definitely will be back. Pros: Great atmosphere and music CD's Cons: A bit pricey and fair service more

A Rare Find - Nebo makes the extra effort! 9/7/2007

I'm sorry it's taken us so long to find Nebo! Reminds us of one of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco. We were very impressed with the extra effort Nebo makes to not only offer a spectacular menu, but follow it through with fantastic food. It's been a while since we left a restaurant feeling as fulfilled as we did when we left Nebo. Excellent food and service -- and a beautiful, comfortable atmosphere. more

A true gem... 7/10/2007

The food is absolutely amazing - it is obvious they use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The margherita pizza exemplifies the message simple but tasty. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Another bonus is Nebo is open until 2:00 A.M. several nights of the week. It's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat after a concert or sporting event at the TD Banknorth Garden. The ambiance is warm and friendly....and as fresh as the food! It is the perfect place to relax with friends. Pros: Open late night, delicious food, great location, great ambiance and parking is available right next door more

Great food, Beautiful Restaurant 6/18/2007

Late night dining in Boston is hard to find.Great late night dining is even harder. The concierge at the Boston Harbor Hotel recommended I go to Nebo restaurant during my stay in Boston. I couldn't have been more pleased when I showed up there at 11:30p.m. and found out they were still serving the full menu. The salumi platters meats was incredible. After that I had the Porcini Mushroom Arancini and a dish of fresh Pappardelle with Bolognese Sauce. The waiter told me it was made in house everyday.I finished my meal off with their signature Ricotta Pie (best I've ever had). The owners were extremely helpful in telling me must sees in Boston. Service was great and the dining room was beautiful. Pros: Late night dining ,Great wine list, alot of choices more

Delicous food, great atmoshere 6/11/2007

Nebo's food is absolutely fantastic. I have been there numerous times and each time with a different group of people and the final outcome is always the same....delicious, authentic food, great service, amazing atmosphere. One of the best new restaurants to open in the Boston/North End area. more

NOT JUST A GARDEN EVENT 6/9/2007

The Celtics may not have gotten the best draft pick but they sure made a great pick when they hooked up with NEBO . A friend of mine gave me tickets to a Celtics game and a gift card for nebo ( the official restaurant of the Boston Celtics) . Nebo was packed when I arrived there before the game. The waiter asked if we were going to the game so that we could finish our meal in time. With a full house and and a frenzied schedule Nebo managed to serve incredible food and provide great service. I did'nt wait for my next visited to the TD Banknorth Garden to return. NEBO has now become a regular on my list. Pros: Still Serves Dinner After Garden Events! Parking right next door more

Great Pizza! Great Pasta! Amazing Drinks and a really cute bartender... 6/7/2007

The food is unique and delicious! The menu offers a wide variety options to satisfy even the most fussy eater. The drink menu has amazing and fun choices. The service is friendly and efficient. The bartender that works most nights is also very easy on the eyes... more

Good martinis, delicious pizza and bruschetta, great menu selection, awesome service 4/27/2007

This place is great! One of the few really good places close to North Station - the menu is excellent and the service is very friendly and efficient! They also have an extensive Martini menu. My favorite thing here are the pizzas and the bruschetta. Pros: delicious & strong drinks, extensive menu, service Cons: parking, random location more

Best Italian food in Boston 4/17/2007

If you want chain style pizza you can go anywhere. If you want a true Itialian pizza with buffula mozzarella cheese, fresh tomato sauce and crispy baked oven crust, go to NEBO. The finest Italian food using homemade recipes. True Italian food in a modern lounge setting, serving a full menu until 2 am. The owners/sisters pay attention to every last detail in the kitchen and dining area. Talk about service! What could be better than parking right next door something most restaurants in Boston can't offer. Pros: Ambience, Parking next door, Full Late Night Menu, more

Overpriced pizza 3/27/2007

I just ordered takeout from NEBO and was pretty dissapointed. They have one size - 11"" which was no bigger than a personal pizza from Bertuccis. We got one Margarita and one sausage/onion/ricatta and the total for a TAKEOUT order came to $35!! The sauce was too sweet, the toppings were scarce (four small rounds of mozzerella on the first pizza) and the dough was tasteless and too crispy...almost as though it were toasted pita bread. For the same price, i could have gotten two LARGE pizzas with extra toppings from Regina's down the street. I would not recommend Nebo's to anyone. Cons: Overpriced....very small....poor quality more

Party,Party! 2/15/2007

Invited 70 of my collegues to a party at Nebo. Planning a party can always be stressful but the owners and manager took over every detail allowing me to totally enjoy my evening.the food was terrific and the staff very accomodating.Would recommend anyone to have a celebration here. Pros: Ambience, service ,attentiveness more

Night and day 2/15/2007

Working near Nebo restaurant I found myself frequenting there atleast three nights a week . With so much variety of great tasting food and reasonable prices, I find it hard to keep away.Since Nebo started lunch with a totally different and unique menu ,I find myself eating there every afternoon. Bravo to the sisters/owners for their creativity and hospitality. Pros: Food and Hospitality more

Not great!!! 2/10/2007

Was expecting something special, but it was average...Nothing we had ( and we ordered 5 different things )made us say wow...this is delicious...The waiter was very nice and informative, but the food made me ask for some salt and pepper and that didn't help...Hey the wine was good..and we had fun... more

Never go back 2/1/2007

I don't understand the high rating for this restaurant. We ate at NEBO recently and no one in our party would ever go back. The food was OK, but very overpriced. The manager/owner was very pretentious and bordered on rude. Maybe they cater to celebrities. I saw a TV clip (maybe TV Diner) in which the owners said their mother grows and cans her own artichokes for the restaurant. That struck me as odd. How do you grow artichokes in MA? It's way too much money for pizza and rude service. Pros: Not crowded Cons: Bad service, overpriced food more

Best Italian Sandwich Ever! 11/14/2006

My family and I just returned from Boston and one of the highlights of the trip was a quick lunch we had at Nebo's. They have apparently been open for about a year but had just opened for lunch the week we visited. The sandwich reminded me of sitting at my Grandmas' kitchen table enjoying one of her Italian cold cut sandwiches but (sorry Grandma) it was better. The bread was the way a true Italian bread should be...freshly made, crusty without being difficult to eat, and great texture inside. The meats were lean and tender, the tomatoes thick and juicy. The greens were fresh and delicious. They were running a special and all of their sandwiches were $5.00!! Best deal in town! My daughter had a meatball sandwich and the tomato sauce was delicious and freshly made! You can tell that great care is taken to ensure that only the finest ingredients are used. (I saw the owner roasting her own red peppers on the grill!) The owner was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The cookies and canoli were also delicious and made from scratch. I wish we had more time to return for dinner but I would highly recommend this North End gem!! Pros: Delicious, fresh, true Italian food, great atmosphere, wonderful owners/staff! more

Romantic late night dining, best lunch stop 11/11/2006

\r If there is such a thing as love at first sight (or bite), Nebo was definitely that for me. Romantic lighting ,an incredible music list and food served in the style of tapas meant to be shared. I walked in without a reservation, was politely told that there was an hour wait and was directed to the bar. An all Italian wine list offering over 150 choices and a great martini list, along with a knowledgeable bartender made the wait well worth it. Full menu is offered at the bar,so we chose to have a salumi platter while we waited for our table. The food is simple and fresh just like in Italy. Nebo has since become our favorite late night dining venue. I didn't think it could get any better but the owners have outdone themselves. more

Best pizza in Boston 11/11/2006

Delicious pizza, beautiful atmosphere and two classy women as owners- managers. After a long hard week at work , my wife did'nt feel like cooking and suggested we go try Nebo. We were greeted at the door by the owner Carla, and welcomed with open arms even with our two toddlers in tow. She brought us a high chair and immediatley asked if my children would like some milk or juice. Later her sister Christine came over and introduced herself and asked if everyone was happy. Happy does'nt say enough about our experience . Food was excellent, service great and could'nt have felt more welcome. Can't wait to go back. This time for late night dining without the kids. more

Bad, bad service 10/19/2006

The food is great and the place is beautiful, but the service is so bad, and it appears to come from the top. The woman manager was so rude to us that I will never go back. Why, why why? With so many restaruants in the North End, why would I go back to a place that is run by a very rude woman? Pros: Decent food, original pizza Cons: Bad service more

A Great Meal in a Classy Setting 10/17/2006

My husband and I ate at Nebo last night for the first time, and it was wonderful. For having been open about a year, I was surprised I haven't heard more about this enoteca. The atmosphere is understated in dark brown hues, and our waiter was friendly, attentive, but not overly formal. The wine list is mostly Italian ranging from $28 to around $300 a bottle, we ordered a delicious tempranillo. For dinner we started with the cheese plate ($12) which came with 4 wonderful hard cheeses and a soft goat cheese, the piave was my favorite with just the right sharpness quality. We also tried the arugula salad ($8) with a lemon vinaigrette, very flavorful and tangy. The regular cheese pizza ($11) was crisp with herbs and mozzarella, and just the right size to share. For dessert we had the molton chocolate cake ($8) with mocha ice cream, a nice combination and finish to a fabulous meal. Pros: Pizza, Service more
