I was referred to this practice by my regular doctor and was able to get an appointment the very next morning. Everyone in the office was very friendly from the moment I opened the door. I saw Dr. O' Loughlin and he was very kind, willing to listen and extremely thorough. He explained what my symptoms could be, and possible further testing that was necessary to reach a diagnosis. I was able to have my lab work completed right in the office, which was nice. I was also scheduled for an out-patient procedure at Rex in Cary, which was great since Dr. O' Loughlin travels there one day a week and i live close by. Upon leaving the practice, I was asked to complete a questionnaire. I was very happy to do so, since EVERYTHING was handled just as I wished for. After my GP recomended this practice I made an appt with Dr McLoughlin. He seemed fine, thorough and patient. I was told that he would refer me to get an x ray that day (this is at 4:00) across the street at Rex. After 35 minutes and no one came back with the referal, I wandered the halls and finally found Nurse Janet talking with others. She finally realizes that she has forgotten me and comes in the room. I leave and get to wake Radiology at 4:45 and they have no orders and have no idea why I am there, they call the office to get the orders and the phones are off at 4:50 so I am sent home. I will NEVER go to this place ever again. Nurse Janet is a disaster. I am sorry for the Doctors that she is assigned to because she makes them look horrible. Cons: EVERYTHING more

These people are total jerks.. I was seen at the hospital for DT and was told to go see a specialists. I called for an appointment but they will only see patients that have been referred to them by other doctors. \r \r The lady on the phone was also very rude and did not want to help me.. \r \r DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! One of the worst experiences we have ever had in medical care. First, Dr. Hutzenbuhler canceled a long standing appointment to insert a vacation into her schedule. Second, Janet, the nurse who called to tell us the appt. had been abruptly scratched, was surprisingly unprofessional in phone manner. She left a message merely identifying herself as Janet who wanted to chat about the appt. with Dr. Hutzenbuhler. Janet did not identify herself as someone connected to practice, the office or Hutzenbubler. After SEVEN phone calls the appt. was re-scheduled for two months later. We arrived early (9:30am for a 10:00am appt.) to fill out paper work and to be ready. At 10 we were escorted to the examination room by a very cool and indifferent nurse (she almost surly). There we waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes with NO ONE poking in a head. Three times I went out to find someone fearing they had forgotten about us. But no one appeared. Finally, at 11:30 am, still waiting for the 10:00am appt., we left. Never did see Hutzenbuhler and never did hear from her. Apparently she was on the phone most of the time she kept us waiting and then tried to say (through her nurse Janet) that she was with a patient. We saw her sitting in her office as we left. OUTRAGEOUS. The words that come to mind for this group are: arrogant, indifferent, self-serving, cold, rude, deceitful, shameless and inept. Pros: Can't think of even one. Cons: Surprisingly inept in management and very rude. more

Dr. H is a great provider. I was plagued with a gastric problem for 9 years and three gastroenterologists could not solve it. In my first visit with her she perscribed med which solved the problem completely. Her endoscope procedures are smooth, efficient and painless. I highly recommend her. I have absolutely no complaints about her demeanor, compassion or bedside manner. Pros: Great doctor. more

Just really like Dr. Patel and his staff. Felt very comfortable with him and it's nice to have a physician that actually remembers me. more

Dr. Hutzenbuhler is extremely busy and is very tightly scheduled. She is very matter of fact and straightforward. She does however seem to begrudge the time to answer questions about endoscopy or colonoscopy results. She buzzes in while you are still groggy, talks very fast and try to get out before any questions start. For the most part, her procedures have been painless although there was an incident where the anesthesia did not kick in in time to, um, mask the pain of the colonscopy. Pros: She is very efficient and gets through a lost of procedures in a day. Cons: office is a madhouse and always behind more
