NAAN Restaurant at Shops at Legacy

Message to the owner, Instead of paying mass review writers, try to improve your business. One star is too much. The only consistent thing about Naan is terrible service every time. The owner does not speak a word of English so good luck complaining. The food is way overpriced for the quality. All three times I have been to this restaurant (Not by choice) ended up being a terrible experience. There are far better Sushi restaurants in the area to even spend a penny at this place, Never again. more

All I will say is I agree with the others that Naan has horrible service. This was my first and last visit! more

We went to the restaurant at 11 Pm and was not so busy, but we had to wait about 15 min just for the server to take our bevereges order,\r when he took it, we had to wait more 10 min... so we start to pay atenttion how many people were working, and we found out that were only 2 people working pluss the sushi man... \r So we were thinking that the problem was the manager, because what kind of manager puts only 2 people to work.\r Well after all the waiting we finally made our order and guess what...\r we wait about 35 min to eat... and when we ask for another kind of drink, the rude guy said ` The drink is gonna take a while because I am busy`... \r I couldn`t believe in what I was listening what kind of server was that..\r well after that we ate and I was hungry so I was looking for the server and I could not find him, \r when I finally found him he passed througt my table and went outside for a cigarret.... UNBELIEVEBLE.... \r so he came to our table after the cigarret and start to take the plates and when I was about to ask for more food he just walk away... \r after more waiting he came back and we ask for the bill, and after that terrible experience we had to pay 20% of tip. And I went to the closest MC Donald`s and the service was great and I didn`t have to tip the guy.\r I have 3 years of Texas and I have never had a bad service like that.... the server was just amateur, rude and sarcastic.... \r the food was good but restaurant for me is like a combo,\r everything walks together if the food is goog but the service is the worse I would never come back and for sure I will tell everyone that I know to not go in that place.\r Terrible service. Lunch at Naan - What a mistake I made thinking THIS was a sushi restaurant. Hostess never even offered seating at the sushi bar - should have suspected something right then and there. Our waiter had more visible tatoos than a yakuza hit man - a real faux pas in any Japanese restaurant - not to mention that he was unattentive and failed to clear dishes between courses or offer a refill on the horrible and horribly overpriced house sake. Bluefin tuna Nigiri at $10. for two pieces was off-tasting, fishy and had the flavor of beef just at the point of turning. Salmon was good - hard to screw-up a slice of salmon but the rice did not hold its' form and crumbled when soy sauce was added. The spicy tuna roll was about the thickness of a Macanudo with WAY too much sirachia and lacking balance due to the ommision of any mayo or avocado. We left five pieces - not worth the heartburn. If this is the best that Plano has to offer - as their self-congratulatory advertisements state, then you may have to take a trek to Sushi Sake. Worth the drive and you won't find the ""Plano Cougar Roll"" on the menu or ceviche or a hamburger... more

Not a true sushi bar! Even had a cheesburger on the menu. We sat at the sushi bar and had an American with tattoos all up and down his arm.. Not to mention a $12 bottle of lukewarm sake. Then on top of this we had to look for the waiter about ten minutes to bring us the check. Oh, buy the way the sushi sucked! Not a repeat restaurant for us! more

You shouldn't come hungry to this place. You will wait for your order at least an hour, at dinner time on Sat. more

Beyond AMAZING, AMAZING Sushi & Sashimi at Naan Sushi....\r Brought clients for lunch and Sushi was great. Decent sashimi and the tuna tower was really nice.\r \r We tried several of the rolls that were suggested by our servers VOLCANO,ROCKET, NAAN SPECIALS and each were excellent and prsentation was outstanding. more

I've been to NAAN Sushi several times and each experience has been amazing. AMAZINGGGG Sushi HERE. I've always had a pleasant experience with them. The sushi is always GREAT GREAT... -- I always do have NAAN Special, Ahi Tuna Tower, Volcano, my favorite menu here melt you mouth,it's haven haven... Unbelievable food here. Also, Half price of Sushi, Appertizers, Drinks during happy hour, Great deal. Good luck getting a reservation! NAAN SUSHI my favorite restaurant. more

My family had the worst dining experience ever in Naan Sushi Japanese Restaurant. I purchased the $50 Groupon, and decided to use it for lunch after our church service on September 4, 2011. We presented the Groupon to the waitress and asked her whether we could use it at the time and she indicated it was o.k., she said that we just could not combine it with their happy hours offers, which was fine with us. When our bill came, we noticed we only received about $43 for the $50 credit. After inquiry, the manager told me it was because we used it for lunch than for dinner. But no where on the Groupon stated that it was not allowed or would only receive partial credit for lunch. Then the manager changed her reason, she said it was because we didn't make reservation. Before we went in, we were aware of the requirement for the reservation, that's why we asked the waitress before we ordered and she said it was all right. Also, they overcharged two of our dishes, when asked about this, the manager told us the menu was wrong. After our insistence, the manager corrected the credit to $50, but the overcharges were not corrected. After the Groupon, our bill came to $18.68. Because of their dishonesty and rude attitude, we decided not to leave any tip. We used our Mastercard to pay for this bill. Later I saw the charge of this visit was changed to $22.42 in our account. It was down right wrong and dishonest. The female manager didn't have any people skills and no professionalism and any courtesy. It was the worst ever for us. more

We try sushi spots everywhere we go and none in this country compare to NAAN Sushi. The variety and quality are second to none, try to have SMU roll, Ahi Tuna Tower, Volcano, you are very surprised again,,,,, Second to none . For the best experience sit at the bar, close your eyes and try anything the master recommends, my bartender Levon made me my day,cool handsome, Good recommendation for SMU roll and Volcano both very good. I should also mention that it's priced very reasonable at shops at legacy Plano. TOLD us great happy hour here... more

Great happy hour specials. Half price sushi and drinks, Awesome. The sushi here was impeccable. I mean, super fresh and tasty. Order some pieces of fish and take the chefs' recommendations. always Naan Sushi is my favorite Japanese restauranrt. more

What an absolutely fantastic culinary delight - in a town that is landlocked, it was refreshing to have incredibly fresh nigiri and unbelievably tasty rolls, Super tataki, SMU roll, Ahi tuna tower. The food here is SPECTACULAR. Service is not best but my server well attentive for our dinner. I will go back to Naan Sushi soon. more

1. Service was very poor. The server did not bring fork and we waited. Then he did not bring the serving spoon and we waited? We would look around if someone could help us? The waiter showed by after 15-20 minutes?? 2. I was overcharged for a dish I did not have? I called the restaurant manager and he asked me for copy of bank statement, receipt and my ID card to consider a refund?? 3. In addition, the manager asked me to drive all the way to this location at shops at Legacy for $27??? He told me it is his company policy, which I am not challenging. 4. The manager instead of being apologetic started telling me ""People do this as economic times are hard."" What would you anyone say to a comment like that?? b) Then the manager started raving about he brought this restaurant from $300,000 to $1 M. I am pleased to know that but how does it address my concern?? 5. I called the restaurant owner. He came on the line and sounded impolite and did not want to talk and made an excuse that he was in a meeting. After insisting, he just gave me an email to write and thats it. No Apology. I have never had such an experience as to how I was treated. At this point, I don't even care about the refund and choose not to communicate further however wanted to make sure reasonably share my experience with all. Thank you. more

Half price of sushi & Drinks during happy hour is best. The sushi here was impeccable. I mean, super fresh and tasty. Obviously, you have to go in knowing what you'll be spending, but it's worth it. Walk into the restaurant and you'll be greeted with clean lines, wood decor, and clean wait staff. I know the decor might not be anything special, but I appreciate the simplicity and quality of it. The sushi chefs clearly know what they're doing as do the waiters. We even had a brand-new waiter, who was shadowing a veteran. He could barely speak English, straight from Japan. I got a combination sashimi set and we ordered a few more rolls, including some roe and tuna. You'll walk in here and have a great meal regardless. LOVE Naan sushi..\r \r This place has the best sushi I've ever had. I had lunch at the sushi bar with cowork. unblievable unblievable...\r \r I had a taste of nearly ever fish he had. My two favorites were uni (which I had for the first time there and it was so AMAZING, I had to have seconds) and the freshwater eel. Both are so gooddd.\r \r I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants the best sushi outside of Japan. \r \r Service is excellent, the restaurant is beautiful and the prices are great for the quality of food you get.\r \r Half price sushi and half price drink before 7:00pm. Excellent happy hour here. more

I was there last year with some family and friend and we enjoyed the food and service. then i went back recently a few months ago for drinks and got really bad service at the bar. then again this happened this week. what happened? is the new bar policy to ignore people, then not give them change, and treat them like they are bothering the bar staff? the new staff is not what the last year's staff was. get the old staff back! more
