NAAN Restaurant at Shops at Legacy

We have eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed the food. Our experience tonight was weird. We ordered the Tuna Tower....we watched it being made. It was GORGEOUS, with layers of rice, avacado, crab, spicy tuna and nori on top. Before it was even presented to us, the waiter took it from the sushi chef, and proceeded to demolish it with 2 forks. By the time he was done with it, it looked like a plate of puke. He didn't explain what he was doing, he didn't present it with a flourish...he just destroyed it. We hate to waste food, so we ate it anyway, and it did taste delicious. But we would have preferred to eat it our own way, without help from the staff. I'm not sure why they bother to spend so much time creating it if they're just going to mush it all up. Pros: Weird presentation more

\r I am Japanese American and I have eaten Sashimi and Sushi for over 22 years. I know fresh fish when I see it and taste it. I have eaten in dozens of Sushi bars in the US, Sushi in Boston, Washington, Seattle. \r \r I am telling that NAAN is one of the best I have ever had. \r \r NAAN is second to none. I took my wife to there 7 months ago. My wife thought that the AHI TUNA TOWER is Best of Best...... \r \r Also, Prime short rib is really good.\r \r We all loved the sushi. It was rich and full of flavor. All Sushi we had was as fresh as could be, the portions were good size and the presentation of the sushi showed the artistry of the sushi chef, incredible beautiful...... more

Wish I never moved out of area. Absolutely the freshest I have ever had. Order Chef's choice, Outstanding job. I was so impressed their Sushi. If your are looking for so so Sushi to eat, go RA Sushi, or BLUE FISH, If you want to look for something different and special Sushi, Here it is. NAAN.... I like here. more

I took a friend there for his birthday a couple weeks ago. When we sat down we were almost forced into ordering the ""chef's special"" but since he had never been there before, he wanted to order off the menu.\r \r It's annoying that on a week night they still almost force you to get the ""chef's choice"" - it's good but pricey. The sushi was really good. fresh, fresh, best of best. \r \r The bill for both of us was almost $100 with tip but it was his birthday! \r \r The atmosphere could definitely use work but it's stil the best sushi I've had in DFW area., especially the salmon. Melts in your mouth! we had a good time there. more

\r I have eaten NAAN. Plano several times and always come away happy. Pretty good.\r \r Rice is the landscape for Sushi and they get it right. Great, Great, Great. Go check it out NAAN,Plano, high quality Sushi.\r \r I usually go to Japanese restaurants because I can order sashimi, which tends to be healthier than many American restaurants. I went to NAAN,Plano because I wanted best quality sushi in Dallas area, \r \r I had their special roll, Rich man Roll, which was to die for! Wow, WooooooooooW.\r \r I will return to this restaurant because it is not too expensive, Best sushi and I love the atmosphere.\r \r This is definitely my favorite. I'd make reservations though because it was packed when I went the other night. more

restauarant was clean and nice, upscale modern aisan decor. sushi was above average but not exceptional (tuna had heavy striations, etc). i liked the music, and the wine list was great. be aware that naan restauarants are individually owned thus may differ greatly. all and all a good experience but i expect a great experience at the above avg. prices. more

If Naan didn't have sushi on their menu I would have rated the restaurant 5 stars, however that is what my party and I ordered and were all let down...but I'm getting ahead of myself. Naan is a beautiful restaurant situated in the Shops at Legacy. It's a modern designed restaurant, dimmly lit and comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted by the hostess who seemed very confused when we should up with a party of 4 instead of 6. It took a few minutes for her to figure out at which empty table we could be seated. Granted, I did not call and change the reservation, however when guests come to your restaurant an want to spend money at your restaurant, and there are open tables...you seat them. To the food. The Kimbap was a wonderful appetizer. Two of us order sushi and were let down. They rolls didn't stay together and the Volcano Roll was a disaster on the plate. However, I was introducing Korean cuisine to of my friends for the first time and suggest a few traditional items which they really enjoyed. The Bulgogi is outstanding. The service was great. Perfect place to take a date. The atmosphere is very romantic. The service staff is very professional and attentive to your table. The food was extremely tender and flavorful. Customer dress ranges from casual to business. The only thing holding this restaurant back from a complete 10 is limited variety and portions of traditional Korean side dishes.
