Mr Pizza

The pizza here is outstanding. Thin crust with a good yeasty flavor. The sauce is perfect with a touch of sweetness but not too much sugar. I can't speak to the taste of the cheese since I'm lactose intolerant, but my girlfriend said it was rich and must be full fat because it had a lot of pull, whatever that means. I wish this place was closer to me. Parking is mostly easy. more

Absolutely horrid. I ordered at 1:20am. The pizza got here at 3:00am. I was told that the delivery fee is 12$. And since I paid the card I couldn't refuse. The driver called me and could not speak English. When he got here, he got mad at me for complaining about how long it took. He said ""we're 15miles away"" and I told him that the person that created the order there should not have said it would take 50min then. Pizza was some what good. But the 30$ price tag for the entire affair did not justify. Here's some advice. Look for a different shop. more

Stumbling down Fairfax after an all night party fest, jonesin' for the perfect slice? No worries - head down to Damiano's which is the only pizzeria I know that is open till 6:00 a.m. They offer up top-notch thin-style New York pizza along with about 500 different bottles of soda pop. more

Im born and raised in L.A and Ive given this place its last shot. I have never been spoken to with such rudeness on the phone when I place my orders. I recently called to order pizza they told me 30 to 45 minutes. 1 hour later I called and they said it would be another 30 minutes and they hung up on me. I called back to ask why he hung up on me and the guy hun up on me again. 5 more calls later.....same thing. I will never go here again. I suggest anyone who wants pizza to check out the other great pizza in L.A. There is better pizza and better service elsewhere. Cons: TerriBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! more

I have to say that I really love this place. Only three stars because they're inconsistent with service & quality-- but when they're good, they are really really good. I made the mistake of ordering in for delivery and it took almost 2 hours. They actually did tell me that it would take awhile, but I thought there was no way it would be thaaaat long... I went for late night pizza with some friends. We paid the check, tipped, left the premises and were waiting outside for a cab. The waitress then came out and claimed to have given us the wrong check and undercharged us. When we refused to pay, the owner tried to follow two of my friends home. The next day I discovered they had charged - without any authorisation from me - the extra amount to my debit card. I will never be eating here again. more

Okay What Is Everybody's problem...I have been to Damianos late at night right after work...The service isnt great but...The Food Is Super Good...I Worked At The Grove And They Charged Me A Four Dollar Delivery Fee...I Was Happy To Pay...Why Because It's Different...I Love The Food, I Love The Overall Feel Of The Place...If You Dont Like It Just Shut Up And Move On...And What's This That Everyone Says It's Extremely Crowded...I Always Get There Between 2 And $ in The Morning...And I'm Usually Out With In An Hour...Fully Satisfied...So Everyone Who Doesnt Like Too Bad... I went to Damiano around 11pm on a Wed. and yes it was scary in that place. Its dark and looks rundown. The service is okay, the pizza is a bit expensive in my opinion. I got a mushroom + peperoni. I must say the peperoni was horrible. I had to take them off the pizza. The pizza is way better than Vitos on La Cienega. The area has horrible parking though. $4 delivery to Hollywood? That's the most expensive delivery I've ever encountered in over 30 years of living. The pizza is pretty decent, but very overpriced for what you get. Order a medium pizza and definitely experience hunger pains after finishing it, because it's only like 4 slices or so. $15+ for that?? I've never been inside this place, but given that I just read a delivery to Silverlake is $10, I'd never even consider making a trip there, because I consider Damiano's a rip off, financially. I shudder to think of how many bitter, middle class people actually lose money eating this food, and then complain about their salaries. That must be every single customer of this place. Really this place needs to be remodeled, it's old, stinky, and very dirty. Forget about the restrooms, so horrible. It's dark and depressing and stains all over the ceilings, and the lack of quality to used to paint the place is in poor, very poor condition. This place really needs a make-over. more

who doesn't like freshly-made-to-order pizza or mazarella sticks? rite?? it's open til late (after midnite), so if the bar scene just ain't happening for some reason, just head over here & eat away your A-game & call it a nite. parking's tough tho sometimes cuz there's only street/metered parking. but when you come late, there's usually some spots rite in front. it's a small cozy dark hole-in-the-wall joint, but food's great&comforting. For the record, I was a huge supporter of Damiano's for a very long time. I've been in this town for 10 years and have been a loyal customer for many of those years. I defended their prices, their slow delivery, because they provided quality late night delivery. Those days are over. Allow me to start by saying that I have eaten here a few times after leaving clubs and it was a good thing I was drunk because I would have ate anything. We also ordered delivery twice now, and both times got ripped off. I also ordered that over priced artichoke, and it went straight to the trash. The last time we ordered, it took 2 hours to get the pizza and it showed up burnt. I have tried to get a hold of the manager/owner for a week to get my money back and he keeps dodging my calls. This is one of those restaurants that is open when most are not. Its not fancy, not by any stretch of imagination. Its more like a dump, a hole in the wall. But, it has some damn good food, which is further heightened by your state of drunkeness. You must be drunk to come to a place like this, and I say this in a very GOOD way. Born and raised in LA, Domianos is one of the few surviving pizza joints that actually serves good sloppy pizza - it has a special place in my heart. If you're looking for service and think they owe you something, go look somewhere else. This place is here for the majority of people who want good, crappy, pizza at ALL HOURS -- night or day. I wouldnt ever consider delivery, you're automatically subjecting yourself to further bad service and poor delivery times... plus, you're missing the entire experience of being IN Domianos, watching the LA peeps and freaks come in and out (especially after club hours). Oh yeah, HUGE selection of beers is a PLUS. Although they have vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni, they do not offer vegan crust. If you tell them that you would like a vegan pizza they will not warn you of the crust not being vegan. You can order cheese sauce and faux meat but they dont supply the crust! Word to the wise, ask before you order anything anywhere! Pros: vegan cheese sauce faux meat Cons: no vegan crust more
