I was comparing prices the other day for window tint when I came across Mothers Window Tint I gave them a call and got a quote it was the best price from all the other places I called so I took my car there and they did a great job on it and a good price. more

Mothers does all my work on my vehicals and they always do a great job ! I just took in my 2011 mustang GT and the window tinter did an awsome job with my tint took very good care of my vehical. Two thumbs up !! more

Had a new system put in and very pleased with the install and sound quality. The installer at the South Austin location knows his stuff and did a clean job on hiding all the goodies. I will be going back to get an alarm put in as well I just wanted to say Thanks and keep up the good work. more

(S. Lamar location) I called them to ask when I could bring my car in for tint. I tell them the make and model. They said go ahead and bring it in as long as it's there first thing 9am and it could be done the same day. So I make the arrangements to be without my car, drive it down there, THEN they tell me "oh we need a warm sunny day to do the tint." ??? I should have walked away at that point but this location is closest to me. So I watch the weather forecast and when I see a mostly sunny day coming I call again, this time I specifically say the date and read them the weather forecast on the phone and they say that would be fine. Then I get it there and guess what they say? "sorry needs to be more sun". Never again. more

I went to the IH-35 and 290 location to have my windows tinted. The guy behind the counter said he told me a few weeks ago over the phone that I would have to bring the car on a hot day so that they could get the tint off. He said that with a very irritated and accusatory attitude.--I spoke to someone there a few days ago and they definitely didn't tell me anything about it needing to be a hot day. I immediately told him that he had not spoken to me. His reaction was that it must have been someone else with the exact same kind of car (old car). Still with an irritated attitude. They then called a tinter to come up front to look at my car. Why? I don't know since they couldn't do my tint that day anyway. Plus after that guys attitude I wasn't going to have my windows tinted there anyway. As I was walking out I could hear the guy behind the counter bitching how he hates it when people don't listen when he tells them they have to bring their cars on a hot day. First of all. Even if he had told me that when I called. His job is customer service. You don't give customer's attitude or accuse them of not listening to what you told them. Secondly you surely shouldn't be stupid enough to bitch about them when they are around. Anyone needing any type of alarm, stereo or tinting service needs to go someplace else. I hate to think the attitude they would give me if something went wrong or if I had a complaint about my tint. Pros: none Cons: poor treatment more

When i first bought my alarm they promised if ANYTHING goes wrong with it they would fix OR replace they dont live up to thier name at ALL. If i knew this i would have gone somewhere else and spent my money. They stand there and lie to you like nothing and expect people to go back and spend money there again. not here go somewhere else Pros: Go somewhere else more

This was my first time getting my windows tinted... and a friend had negotiated a deal with mother's off of 290 and I35. When I went in to get my windows tinted: 1) He claimed my friend had misquoted the price and named a higher price 2) There is a huge splotch on my rear window as there are some "teflon dots" there. The guy claimed that I was the first guy to complain (despite a note by his desk that HE pointed out explaining about such dots and how they work around it)... and then said that the note there was out of date and that there was nothing he could do about it.. A quick google search revealed that there are multiple options for people like me. So, the guy lied to my face and refused to live up to his "guarantee" that there would be no bubbles/splotches in the tint. I have yet to see how the tint looks after the 5-7 days it takes to cure. Reviews at other websites have also shown that his customer skills are horrible.Be Wary. more

I got one of the advertised car alarm installations. They didn't tell me that the remote would not lock/unlock the car, only switch the alarm off and on (there is a lock/unlock symbol on the remote, so I ASSUMED it would unlock and switch alarm). Locking is 50 bucks extra, not to mention I have to drop my car off again. Deceptive. I had tints done later, took it to someone else. Cons: Shady. Plenty of other places to go. more

I had my windows done as dark as can be and these guys were good. The price is average, but the service is excellent. I was concerned about a little bubble the day after the installation and they addressed it right then and there. One year later, my tint job has no bubbles and is keeping its color. It's great for the hot Austin summer time. more
