Moe's Southwest Grill

Moe's on Tennessee St is easily one of my favorite "quickie" Mexican places to go: you can almost always get in, eat, and get back out in an hour. The staff is friendly, remembers their frequent visitors, and makes the food right in front of you. The only major downsides to this restaurant are (1) the noise and (2) the lack of seating. (1) It's ALWAYS noisy in there, but it's something one has to expect being as close to campus as it is. (2) If you're there in the busiest parts of the day, it's next to impossible to find a place to sit inside. There's been a few times I've had to go eat in my car, to be honest. Another major plus for Moe's is that they have added tofu to their list of proteins, so it's possible to get delicious vegetarian-friendly Mexican. more

Moe's has BIG burritos. They are stuffed full of food that you choose, then wrapped in foil. You do get a big meal when you eat at Moe's, but I don't like it nearly as much as I used to. Too many of the toppings/fillings (mushrooms, sour cream, cheese sauce, etc.) cost extra. The chips are really dry, not salty enough, and too hard (hard, not crispy.) The salsas are also not appealing to me anymore. They are a bit boring, and the open bowls make me wary of how "clean" the salsa is. more

I love their black bean, chicken and cheese quesadilla (John Cocastan) I have tried making them at home and it is just not the same, how do they so much stuff in there without it falling apart. Their burritos are huge too. Love the tomatillo salsa, i always get extra. And with their buy 9 get 1 free card I get about 1 free meal a month. more

This is THE place to get a burrito, my friends. They are huge and packed with meat, rice, and fixin's. My recommendation is to spend the extra money and ask for queso as a topping in the burrito. The price is right, and they even have a frequent diner card where you get the 10th meal free. Try Moe's, you won't be disappointed. more

Moe's has a great assortment of Mexican food (burritos, quesadillas, etc) that are prepared fresh in front of you. The prices are a higher than a fast food restaurant, but the portions are HUGE. You also get multi-colored tortilla chips with your meal, which is a nice touch. The dining area is crowded, but it doesn't feel cramped. There are also a few tables outside. One odd thing was the background music. Instead of the expected Mexican or Southwestern music, there were pop songs and oldies playing. more
