My husband got me a gift certificate here for my birthday. I got a facial, a massage, and some waxing done. It was simply unbelievable. I pretty much sampled all of their services...

non-conventional, great salon! 5/13/2008

This little salon is not what some may thinkt when they think about a "clinic". it is actually a warm, home like place, carpeted, pleasant, quiet, and wonderful smells. comfortable and seeks to please always, at least from my experience, and I've been coming there for a few years now. Best waxing (when Miri does it...), best facials (from the whole crew), and always good recommendations regarding wonderful skin care products. Prices are reasonable always, even when the specials aren't offered. Did I forget anything? Highly recommended! Pros: excellent place more

Skinworks that offer comfort and results! 5/9/2008

I have been a customer of this little place for years! Being European, in the fashion business, I travel extensively and therefore know other establishments, and I am always so pleased to be home here in LA and run back to get my "beauty" services at Miri's Skinworks. I am completely trusting their judgments, choice of treatment in the facial room, and the waxing I get is impecable! Best eyebrows, and other areas... I get all my skincare products from them, high quality products for reasonable prices. I recommend this place to quite a few people, they all like it very much! Pros: Very good place! more

"celebrity" quality skincare for the not so celebrated... 5/8/2008

The care and the treatment that Miri offers is first rate quality . I have gotten many facials here in Los Angeles, but now, (and it has been about 4 months now that I have been coming to see Miri ), I "lost" the urge to keep on looking for a good place to go to... I AM COPLETELY SATISFIED! You see something good, stick to it, that's my philosophy! I like Miri, she is kind, consederate, funny, and knows how to give an excellent, through facial. And she is a great waxer, the best I've had so far. Recommended without the slightest hesitation :) Pros: Miri Mandel's Skinworks rocks! more

Saw it on KABC News, Good choice! 5/4/2008

I found Miri's Skinworks on Citysearch, was impressed! I saw Miri interviewed on KABC TV this week, I was impressed! I called, spoke to Miri, arranged to come in with my sister. It was really lovely! We are impressed! We are new customers that will be back, guaranteed! hard to beat! Easy, simple, Great facial and Eye Brow shaping, Great customer service! Le meilleur salon a Los Angeles 5/2/2008

Bonjour, Je suis juste de passage a Los Angeles pour quelques mois. Ma meilleure amie m'a offert un soin du visage et un massage pour mon anniversaire...J'ai eu une agreable surprise quand je suis allee chez Miri. Mon amie ne m'a pas menti. Miri est tres professionnelle et elle m'a mise tres a l'aise des le depart. Elle prend son temps, donne beaucoup de recommendations (j'ai achete quelques produits qui sont tres efficaces, ca va faire 2 semaines que je les utilise), j'ai vraiment hate de retourner pour mon prochain soin, et en meme temps, je suis triste car je vais 2 fois par mois en France chez l'estheticienne et Miri est vraiment au top, meilleure que celles en France. first rate service at affordable prices 5/1/2008

I am a flight attendant, dehydrated skin, came in for a facial and waxing. I was very tired, and needed a boost to the skin and to my appearance in general. Miri, who apparantly travels plenty, understood my situation immediately, and by the time I left, almost 2 hours later, I felt much more rested, my skin was radiant, and my eye brows looked fabulous! Miri is a perfectionist and I can rate her business as an "A+" business! Highly recommended! Pros: Couldn't ask for more more

Thoroghly enjoyable peaceful morning in a fast world 5/1/2008

My lady friend recommended Miri Mandel Skinworks to me. I am on my way to a film festival, wanted to get a good facial before I'd hop on a plane. I got a great facial, a ggod massage, and rested up wonderfully, It was a very meditative exprience, no talk, and the little bit of talk that went on was whispered. In this hurried, rushed world, this is refreshing! Not to mention, replenishing! Silence is great, not too many practice it. Good going Miri, Youare a lady of character, that's for sure... and talented, artistic, and fair! Thank you! more

What a wonderful experience! 4/30/2008

I happened to stumble into Miri's little oasis by accident. I was looking for a facial, just to relax and decompress and "disconnect" from life for a bit. I am pregnant, wanted something easy and low-fuss. Based on the Citysearch reviews, I decided to just go for it (this is not something I normally do). And I was so pleasantly surprised with the wonderful energy, ambiance, and treatment. Miri's place is so sweet and cozy... I felt immediately at ease (and not uptight like I sometimes can at those stuffy spas) and Miri was just such a sweetheart. The facial was wonderful, so therapeutic and my skin responded beautifully to the treatment. I even fell asleep at the end - did not want to get up! I'll definitely be back to visit Miri again and I look forward to recommending her to my friends. Pros: Wonderful staff, cozy atmosphere, excellent skill more

Great Facials, Friendliest Employee's, The Best. 4/30/2008

I went to Miri's Skinworks for the 1st time on Saturday. The place looks so nice and relaxing, their employees make u feel extra relaxed. I got a facial and my face looked and felt so beutiful. I also got some waxing done and my skin looked great. This was my best experience ever. Perfect for a womens day out. All women need their relaxing days alone or with our girls at the Spa. I absolutely loved it, recommend it to everyone, and cant wait to go again and again! Pros: 10 Thumbs up! more

By far the best value massage in town 4/30/2008

I've been there twice already ( I've just have been introduced to Miri's place by friends 3 weeks ago) and I'm booked there next week as well. The place isn't the fanciest or most luxurious I've been to, but it doesn?t seem in this case to matter at all, it may even be a bonus. The place offers the hospitality of the staff and especially of the owner Miri Mandel - such a sweet woman with an exceptional hands that made my 1 hour facial fly by. The prices are very convenient, the place is clean and tidy, and very aromatic! more

The first time I went to Miri Mandel Skinworks, I received the best service ever. They have the most friendliest staff, excellent customer service. I went to Miri's for a Facial and waxing, I loved it. They treat you and make you feel so good. I felt so relaxed and my skin felt so beutiful exactly what your day at a Spa should be like. I can recommend only what I love. I LOVED my facial! Just like in music, when you feel the artist, I felt that this facial was RIGHT! unlike with other facials, I FELT that whatever transpired at that time, with me, with my face, was done with great knowledge and the combination of that, along with the good care and pampering, was perfect and I came out feeling GREAT! I decided to try Skinworks after a recommendation from a friend. I am very glad I did. I have struggled with acne since my teenage years and after seeing Miri for two months, I now feel comfortable not wearing as much makeup! She does a great job of giving you and your skin individual attention. She gave me great advice on little changes to make in my daily routine that would make a huge difference in my overall skin health. Trustworthy and reasonable skincare in Los Angeles 4/20/2008

I've gone in twice just as of late. Love the facial. Basic is great, and I would let Miri suggest and recommend, she knows her craft very well. The first time, 2 weeks ago, my skin wasn't doing well, extractions, some home remedies, and voila! there is an obvious difference! My friends and collegues have noticed, I do some commercial work as well, and I go in for auditions, and I feel more confident! So hooray, and thank you, Glad I found you! You are a keeper! What a GREAT experience!!!!! 4/9/2008

This was my first facial. As a guy, facials are not something we think about. Miri made me feel welcome and relaxed as she explained how the facials worked. For the next 75 minutes I got to lay down on a comfortable bed-like table and take a semi-snnoze while Miri applied various potions and lotions to my face and neck. When she was finished my skin looked and felt firmer and younger than I imagined it could be. Miri also helped me select a few key skin care products to help maintain my new youthful skin until my next visit. What a great experience! Pros: Thumbs up up up!! Cons: N/A more

I always get facials...I am an actress who wanted to look good before a big audition, tomorrow!!! I was nervous too... A friend told me about Miri's Skinworks. She said: You'll like your facial! She was right! Miri is a cool lady, funny, personable, and knows her craft fantastically! I have a feeling that she can give a facial blind folded.... her facial is a combination of thorogh cleansing, and a great deal of relaxing. I came out nice and rested! I soon will go in for a peel! Best Facial Ever! 4/5/2008

My husband surprised me a few months ago with a gift certificate for a facial and massage. From the moment I walked in the door of Skinworks, I was amazed at the quality of service. I bought some products for my skin care and it has really transformed my skin. I used to use store bought products like you see on commercials. I tried everything... but nothing worked for my skin. Miri, my esthetician, helped me with what I needed to do, and what products were right for my skin. I have been using them for about 3 months now, and wow!!! I love it. I go for my facial once a month, and then I use my them at home everyday. It is amazing. The changes to my skin. I look younger, tighter, less oily, and damaged looking. Everyone I know is amazed as well. I only wish more of my family lived around here to go to see Miri with me. I just wanted to thank her for all her help. She is so sweet and really does such a good job. She should be recommended! Pros: Excellent facials, very nice and friendly spa more
