I wanted to drop you a line and tell you how impressed I was with the service that I recently received from your company.At 11:00 pm December 22nd, while washing clothes before a family trip to Taiwan to visit my son (teaching English), the floor drain started backing up. Literally the next day @ noon, I needed to be on my way to the airport with my wife and two son for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Taiwan while a 24 year old friend of my son's was to watch the house, dogs, etc. I did not want to leave a mess, like a blocked drain (or whatever was the problem), for him along with the potential responsibility of scheduling, paying, etc. I called several companies that night and I received a call back from someone from your company (I am sorry but I forget his name) @ 6:15 am the next morning and he stated he could rescheduled your drain cleaner for 10:00 am that morning. I received a call from Alex @ 9:15 and he was on the way. Alex was in the house, working steadily and by 10:45 my problem was solved. Alex was prompt, professional, very customer-friendly, calm, and competent. We talked the entire time while he worked and it was the best + $300 I have spent in a long time. work for the Minneapolis Public Works Department and I have oversight of many operations that directly affect/deal with the public. Therefore, I do know that complements at times come, few and far between, when exception servce is delivered. I also know that, these complements when delivered, are hugely appreciated by the management, but especially by the staff. Dave, I cannot say enough about your answer service folks (friendly, helpful, prompt, calm, etc.), the person that called me back from your company (I really apologize I forgot his name - I wrote it down and misplaced the paper with the trip and all) but he understood the situation with the timing, returned the call, prompt, professional, and then Alex (who I understand is a fairly newer employee for you, but in the drain cleaning business for many years) who as I said, far exceeded all expectations and was a joy to have working in our home. I then receieved a call during my vacation asking how satisfied I was with the services that I received and then a card from you regarding the same thing. Dave, your company will be very high on the list, and recommened to those who ask, when plumbing, heating, and drain cleaning questions come my way. Again, thank you and pass onto to all your staff my thanks on what was a difficult and stressfull situation that turned it into a pleasant surprise. more

I was so incredibly dissappointed and actually hurt by the service that was provided to me from this company.\r \r Our furnace in our house went out and we called SPPHA becasue it was local. They gave us a quote of $98.00 to come look at the furnace and $70.00 for every 15 minutes there. Seems ridiculous amount to come LOOK at our furnace. The guy came and looked at it and quoted us almost $1,000 to fix it. It was simply dirty and had a fuse shorted. Probably $10.00 for the supplies and the rest was labor costs. We declined the service.\r \r Only to find out a few days later that they charged our credit card $386 for simply coming to LOOK at our furnace and tell us it was dirty and needed to be cleaned out and fuse switched out. I called to find out why it was so much when it should have only been around $160. I talked to the man in charge, Dave or David, and told him my situation. He said it was charged so much because it was overtime and would cost $280 AN HOUR. And that the technician w more

I told him that it takes 5-10 minutes to look at the furnace and I don't know what he was doing the other 50 minutes he said he was there but I wanted the charges taken away. He said the best he could do was take $50.00 off the bill. I said that wasn't good enough because I don't know what the technician was doing there for over an hour when he only had 5 minutes of work. David told me he could have been filling out paperwork or other things. I said that if I would have known that, I would have had him step off my property and do the paperwork so that I wouldn't be charged $280.00 an hour. Basically David said I could take the $50.00 off or not and that was the best he could do for me. As I cried as I hungup the phone, I feel so scammed. How can a business treat people like this. Reading other peoples reviews on this company, I see I am not the first one that has been treated so poorly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give these scammers business. I don't want you to have to go through what they've done to me. more
