Best

I don't know what place these other reviews are talking about but I doubt it's Melograno. I've been living in apartments for 9 years and I've never had another one that I actually...

Worst

Never return phone calls. The staff that is there usually doesn't have any answers. The one person who supposedly knows the answers, is really rude and rarely there.

This is the worst complex I have ever lived in.. I would highly recommend you look somewhere else.. The management is horrible. Things are not taken care of. The chairs by the pool are all torn up and they never fix them after several complaints. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!! more

Do not move here 1/17/2012

I used to really like this apartment complex. Moved here in Feb of 2008. The apartments are built kinda crappy but, it's a decent apartment in a nice location. Ever since they changed management and maintenance crew, it's been horrible. The difference is night and day. They have issues with accounting, do not return phone calls, and the past 3 of my maintenance requests have been ignored. I never used to have this problem! I'm so angry because I used to really like it here! I wish I could move out now. Note to the office: You could really use an attitude check and take notes from the previous staff on how to treat your tenants. more

I loved it here, AND i'm moving back. 12/14/2011

I don't know what place these other reviews are talking about but I doubt it's Melograno. I've been living in apartments for 9 years and I've never had another one that I actually went -back- to except for this one. First of all, I moved in taking over someone else's lease, after they decided they couldn't afford it. It was a messy business and could have been a lot more of a pain if it weren't for the office staff, who btw were professional and friendly the entire year I lived there. And as for moving out, if you go to the office and give them the 60 days notice (or whatever it was) and discuss what needs to be done before you move, you shouldn't have a single problem. Btw when I moved out, not only did I NOT have all these crazy charges this reviewer is saying you will deal with, but I actually received a check from them after I moved for money that I had accidentally overpaid. Which really surprised me, they could have just kept it and i'd never have known any different. Bottom line is if you don't treat your apartment like crap and destroy it because you assume they just replace everything anyway, you won't have a single issue here. I had nothing break, I never had to call maintenance, it was fine. in fact the only annoying thing about this property were the two dogs above me who bounced around happily when their owner came home, and I could hear it. Big deal. As far as the shower leaking, yeah it will leak if you don't have an inner curtain that wraps around far enough. Its a round tub. My fiance and I love it here. 3 months after our lease was up and we had moved out, we decided to come back, and we're moving back into a bigger model in january. My fiance works on the road 3 weeks a month, and i'm currently several hours away from the austin area. We called them up after deciding to come back, and not only did they listen to and understand our situation (having to figure this out while we are all in different places), they agreed to hold the apartment we want until he will be back in town, and tossed in free movers to help us because I will have to do it by myself since the fiance will be back on the road by then. this complex is better than most. Don't complain that it's cheap. the fake stainless steel and fake wood floors aren't a secret. They tell you its fake, it's not a scam. If Go live up north in a $1000 500sqft white box apartment with crack heads for neighbors. you'll never whine about having it bad down here again! more

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! 11/25/2011

What can I say? Melograno Apartments is by far the worst experience that I have ever had. Their accounting is always wrong so if you decide to live there you should expect monthly bill for outstanding rent that you will always have to talk to the office about each month to correct. God forbid you move out at the end of your lease contract (Its okay they had 3 different move out dates for us with at least a 3 month spread between the so they wont know the difference if you do move out) then they will hit you with every charge they possibly can onto you. Personally we where charged for replacement of ceiling fans that where not damaged whatsoever, also charged for removing the carpet (Which is cheap) and they remove the carpet after every tenant moves out so more

Worst move in experience 10/25/2010

They handed me the keys night before my move in date and allowed me check the apartment. I checked my apartment and it was totally not ready for my 9am move the following day. The carpet has not been shampooed. The smell of cigarettes was very disappointing and yucky! more
