Best

Large Portions and Yummy soups, dipping sauce, and my favorite the Chicken Shwarma. Not super kid friendly as inside is a bit crowded, unless it's a sunny day and you can sit out...

Worst

Although the food is very tasty, the Mediterranean Kitchen uses way too much garlic. It's to the point, where guests smell like garlic for several days after the visit. Can only r...

Used to be excellent! 7/10/2010

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But sadly lately staff do not care anymore, as in we have our clients who cares attitude. They Always trying to rush you to eat fast and leave despite ordering drinks, appetizers and full meal. I brought a client there having some drinks before meal and they keep rushing us and putting me under pressure to order. Food was served cold in more than few occasions. Orders were mixed up. Staff lately always looked overwhelmed hence effecting their customer service. This is only in last 2 years. Prior to this everything from food to service was 5 stars. As much as I love the food until they sort out their customer service ( back to their own original) i will not go there anymore. Maybe for take out. . Pros: Fresh food, Big portions and good value overall. Cons: Service went from 5 stars to 2 stars in last 2 years. more

Possibly my favorite restuarant ever 4/6/2010

I consider this to be the best food in the area, but unfotunately it may only be for people who like a lot of flavor. Some of the people I have taken to dine at this restuarant did not seem to enjoy it as much as me, but perhaps its because I love garlic a little too much. I am not one for bland food. Everything is super delicous and flavorful. I love the pita and dip they bring you when you sit down, I love the soup. I usually get the dolmas which are so good. I am always tempted by the huge 15$ appetizer combo and often end up getting this and taking my food home. The place is small though and there is no parking lot, so reservations might be best. Its crowded inside and you do have to sit very close to your neighbors. This location is much preferred over the location in Kirkland which is less of a sit down restaurant. Pros: Delicious, good value Cons: small, crowded, no parking more

Used to be good! 12/16/2009

Vegetables overcooked to dreadful. Food piled into mass, rather than some presentation of a well prepared combination of foods. Won't be back after several good to fare meals. Pros: Good Staff Cons: Poorest of poor food preparation more

Amazing! 7/17/2009

The taste is overwhelming and made me want to come back for more! more

Rude staff. Not family friendly 6/24/2009

We were at the restaurant with a party of 11, including 2 kids of 3 years old. After eating food the kids were roaming around our table in an empty restaurant, there were 2 other parties with kids of their own, we were nowhere close. We were treated with comments like ""ask the kids to not touch the other tables"" and ""this is not a private party, so please control your kids"". For some reason we lost our epitite after that. 3 of the elder kids went out with the little ones and sat in our van. The staff even had the nerve of asking us after that if the cake should be served out. Obviously we just took our cake and had a good time at home. Pros: Good food Cons: Hard to enjoy with a snobby and rude staff more

Very overspiced and not at all authentic 3/8/2009

I hated this dining experience. Several co-workers recommended this restaurant and I was ready to be wowed. Instead I got a plate of food that was so overspiced, I couldn't tell what meat I was eating. It was as if someone who had never eaten Mediterranean food tried to cook what they thought would be characteristic of the region. The server was brisk and the ambiance was slightly gaudy. I felt very cramped in the dining room. I will not be going back. If you want something tasty on the east side, try Alborz in Redmond. They have wonderful food, service and ambiance. more

Amazing Food. 1/26/2009

Two things that bothered me at this Restaurant. It was very small, and we were seated right infront of the door, it's the end of January and it was freezing cold everytime someone walked in, which was quite often as it got later into the evening. The family got together for my sister's birthday, it was the 1st timeI've been here to eat. I enjoyed the CHICKEN SHAWARMA, I couldn't believe my eyes when this plate was delivered to me, it was extremely huge! It had the most awesome flavor, I was very happy with my choice, I had leftovers the next day for sure! garlic garlic garlic. You must loves spices & good food. :) Pros: food, service, parking Cons: draft from the door, big portions more

dissapointing dining- poor food and wine- expensive 11/21/2008

I was exited when my husband invited me for a long awaited night out to this place. After difficult parking we waited for about 3O min in the street for our table. We were seated to a table and waited a long time for our food. The dish consisted mainly of yellow rice, not propely cleaned tomatoes and a meat so tough to cut that I had to send it back to the kitchen. They were pretty nice about it and gave me a new plate. However, still not easy to cut and not easy to eat. To boot, the watery, low grade glass of red wine that was served in a water glass was charged at $6. The dish did not have any authentic flavors that I was looking forward to. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Cons: poor quality food, overpriced, long wait more

Doesn't taste Middle Eastern :( 9/30/2008

Hmm..weird how people luv the food here LOL. I'm Middle Eastern and moved from Dubai where we have like a trillion Lebanese restaurants and believe me this food is anything but Middle Eastern!! Not authentic at all..if this was based in a Middle Eastern country ii would have gone out of bussines in no time. ALl i could taste was garlic, garlic and garlic. The price was too high too. I'm sure that the people who prepare the food aren't Middle Easterns and never tasted a real Middle Eastern food before. Even a simple dish like falafel was anything but a true falafel.I can make better ones at home LOL. The original thing is much better! believe me!! Pros: good service Cons: Not really a Middle eastern food, very small and crowded place more

I never ever write reviews... until now!! 9/5/2008

When i was in college i worked at fine dining restaurants. I remember how hard it was multitasking, remembering orders , dropping hot food to tables , and getting drinks etc... I admire the staff here for their hard work. I have been in when it was super busy and i have been in when it was not ""in your face busy"", and i always get the same great service. Obviously I have been in several times. I always see the same servers and staff, to me that shows a lot for the establishment here . The people who worked here have been here for years. They are knowledgeable and friendly . It shows me that they enjoy their job , it shows me that they take pride in their job, and mostly it shows me they love their job. First off it's clear that the service is excellent but that's not why i decided to write this review. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! Every time i go in i always promise myself I am going to try other dishes. I do every once in a while but I am just hooked on the chicken Shish Twook ,and I am just hooked on the shawramma's, and i just love the Farmers dish (pardon the bad spelling on the food ha-ha). The Mediterranean Kitchen has earned my respect and i will continue to go there forever with out a doubt in my mind. I have seen the staff go out of their way for myself and their guest . Now i thought in return i would ""go out of my way"" and write a truthful and honest review for the Mediterranean Kitchen!! Pros: Great service and amazing food Cons: Only one location more

Food is good, Service is great, Wait is just too long 9/1/2008

The food is very good and I would say quite unique. The staff is courteous for most, and the service is good. The only thing that I dont like about this place is how they handle reservations. They dont take reservations for small groups, who have to wait out in the cold in front of a hair salon. This really spoils the experience. Pros: food, service Cons: bad reservation system, small in size more

How could you serve it ! 7/16/2008

I've been to Mediterranean Kitchen a few times before and the food has been great. This time I went there I got there pretty late, about a half an hour before they closed. I was told to order in the next five minutes or I wouldn't be served. After 5 minutes of placing the order and after ingesting the soup, we were told there was no rice and they would use salad instead. The food they then brought out was horrible, rice is generally served to balance the sourness of the curd, garlic and onion but there was none. I am now suffering from the worst stomach ache while I write this review. I'm obviously not going back. more

Worth the wait on any night! 5/21/2008

I have tasted the food from mediterranean restaurants all around the world and nothing compares to the mouth watering flavor that this little place puts out. They better get used to seeing my face, because I will be there all the time from now on! The homemade baklava is hands down the best I have ever had. I suggest starting out with the lamb kibby appetizer, having the combination kabob for dinner, a glass of Keyfreya red wine, and ending with the baklava. This combo will definately satisfy all of your desires. Besides the food, the waiters are also the best in town taking care of you like a middle eastern Sultan! If you do not check this place out, you are definately missing out on one heck of a dining experience! Pros: Food, Service, Large Portions! Cons: Too small, needs more tables because it is so busy all the time more

Delicious food and wonderful service! 5/19/2008

I had dinner Friday night at the Mediterranean Kitchen and I was very impressed. I have had Medirerranean food at many restaurants but this experience was exceptional. I ordered the combo kabob and it was delicious. They put a white garlic sauce on top of the meat adding a wonderful flavor to the dish. The service was outstanding. I never had to ask for anything. My soda was refilled without me even having to ask. The meal started out with warm, fresh pita bread, wonderful lentil soup, and a garlic vinegarette. I love how they bring you starters as soon as you sit down, it is such a nice touch. Pros: Service, Ambiance, Parking more

garlic delight 5/17/2008

I really enjoy the food here. The food is flavorful and fresh. The portions are H U G E. I always have leftovers. Pros: good food, huge portions Cons: no kid-sized portions more

No Authentic Lebanese Food Here 4/19/2008

I am not sure what people are raving about here but I am Lebanese and have just moved to Bellevue recently. Pros: The servers were friendly Cons: food is not authentic and below average, costly, small more
