McCall Staffing is my favorite employment agency, and I am registered as a temp with several agencies. All level's of McCall's staff are very professional and cordial. Among my assignments from McCall were two where I was one of several temps from McCall, and I can say that the level of intelligence of McCall temps is much higher than that of temps with other agencies with whom I work. Excellent staffing... 2/25/2010

When I place a request for a temp employee with this temp agency, I always get off the phone with a smile. Considering I was a beginner in dealing with temp agencies, they were very patient with me. I had never used a temp agency until two years ago. I was always under the impression temp agencies were cold and impersonable....definitely not the case with this one. McCall Staffing is the ONLY temp and perm agency our company uses to hire our staff/employees. I used them in our Oakland office to hire temps and now I have at least one temp a week through them in our San Francisco office. Our recpetionist is a temp-to-hire from McCall. Excellent temp agency. Definitely does not feel like a temp agency.‎ more

Great Temp Agency! 1/21/2010

We use this temp agency mostly to hire temps but we have also hired a few as direct placements. The people we get for both temp and direct hire (and temp to hire) are all exactly what we ask for...uniformly a 'spot on' fit with our temp job posting. I found it was the same when I was a temp employee...I knew what to expect before I reported to a new assignment. One of a kind temp agency without that temp agency feeling! Shocked at the lack of service. 11/12/2009

After reading the reviews of this Staffing Service, I thought I would give them a try. I submitted my resume to them online, and after not hearing from them after about a week, I decided to see if I could come into their office and see them in person. I was immediately turned away, with the receptionist advising they do not take walk-ins. (Which was shameful, since Premier Staffing is across the street, and were extremely gracious to me). Pros: None. Cons: Uninterested, rude, off-putting, no contact for several days more

Good Service - Kept Me From Claiming Unemployment For Now 4/30/2009

I recently lost my job I had for five years as a portfolio manager. I stumbled across this company in google and applied with them a while back. They did place me with a short term job, which I'm thankful for. I just hope it could become something permanent. The pay is slightly less than what I was making, but I'm fine with that as long as I have money coming in. The people at McCall were very nice and seemed to really care about my situation. Highly recommend 4/1/2009

I am based in New York and was organizing a big event at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Mari saw my event listed and contacted me to introduce herself and McCall. A few weeks later, I found myself in a bind and called her back. On short notice, she found 2 great people that were able to work the entire 3 day event. The people were prompt, jumped in where needed and interacted with the rest of the event team as if they had been there since the beginning. I highly recommend them! Good Place To Start 3/20/2009

I was unemployed for 5 weeks and have been applying at various temp agencies. Everyone including McCall said the same thing...it's slower than usual due to the economy. The recruiter I saw at McCall was very nice and understanding of my situation. She was very straight forward with me (in a very sweet way) and told me what to expect with the current unemployment status. I am very greatful for that. Two days after speaking with them, they did find me a temp job that is to last about 2 - 3 months. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this job would turn into something longer. Overall, I would definitely recommend them. They are very honest polite people. It really helped me emotionally when they came across as caring about my situation. Great results for finding work. 10/16/2008

I stopped in McCall's my first day arriving in San Francisco, within one week they had placed me on a temp assignment with a company that is highly commendable; after that assignments conclusion they had set me up for an interview with the great company I am currently working for full-time. Within two months of arriving in the city I had a full-time job. The people there have always been very welcoming, from the first day on, even without an appointment they made time to meet with me. Sara was always keeping me updated with potential positions or assignments that met my interests and abilities. I was very lucky to always have work, and money coming in since arriving in SF, McCall has played a large part in that. more

Fantastic recruiting experience!! 6/2/2008

So here I was, left alone after my 2 co-workers with a combined 12 years of experience left for greener pastures. After recovering from the shell shock, I realized that I needed help and the quickest way to do that would be to contact a recruiter. After a few phone calls (some of which weren't returned!), I came upon Pegi at McCall. I have rarely worked with someone who loves what she does more than Pegi. She is the owner of McCall and treats you as if you are her only client. She provided us with plenty of candidates to choose from and we have been VERY happy with the results. She is incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated to your cause. Instead of inundating you with an abundance of some relevant and not-so-relevant resumes, she tries very hard to only introduce candidates that she feels will fit your position like a glove. While she is attentive and responsive, she is never pushy. She has an impressive satisfaction policy that we were able to experience first hand. Hired Thru McCall 4/2/2008

These people are great! I chose them after doing an agency search based upon Google & Citysearch reviews. They found our new Executive Assistant for our CEO. They were thorough and professional and delightful (fun!) to deal with. All of their referrals were excellent. We had a hard time making a final selection. In fact all of their candidates also had great things to say about their dealings with everyone at McCall. I recommend them to hiring managers. Best Staffing Agency in San Francisco 3/6/2008

As soon as I started to respond to ads on Craigslist, I was immediately contacted by several staffing agencies - all of them being like used car salesman. I finally found McCall Staffing and it was an absolute pleasure working with them. Walking into their office was like a breath of fresh air. Everyone was so upbeat, friendly and just delightful to work with. McCall has an incredible selection of jobs and both Pegi and Laura find jobs that you will be a perfect fit for. Best Employment Agency in San Francisco 2/26/2008

I have known about and used McCall Staffing Services since the 1980s. I recently returned to the Bay Area and this was the only agency I considered using to find a job. The staff are superb at what they do--match your skills and work requirements to an employer in need. They stay in touch almost daily, keep you apprised of all jobs that might be a really good match for you, do all the leg work on your behalf, and keep your morale up when things don't work out right away. I just got a dream job and would never have been able to find such a plum without McCall Staffing to back me up. This is, by far, the best, most courteous, welcoming, and supportive agency around town. They are really tops in professionalism and thoroughness. Check McCall's out; you won't be sorry. more

Best staffing agency in the Bay Area 10/26/2007

This agency was the best thing to happen to me when I first moved out here. I sent them my application one afternoon and got a call back within minutes, literally. They scheduled me an appointment for the following day, and I had a job lined up the VERY NEXT DAY!! It all happened SO fast, it was amazing. They were so helpful, I didn't have to sign any contracts, it was like having a personal secretary do all the job searching for me. Within 2 weeks I was already offered a permanent position, and I had only worked at 2 different offices. They were very friendly, helpful, kept in good contact with me, and made sure I was getting everything I needed. They really helped my transition to a new area very smooth, and I owe them so much gratitude. I would recommend this agency over any other agency, by far. Give them a call! Happily Employed Because of McCall! 8/23/2007

The last year has been a roller coaster for me balancing school and a good paying job that would pay my bills. I decided to check out temp work. Over the summer, I went to various temp agencies around town, but had no luck. I wanted a job in my area of study: accounting, finance, investments, etc. These other temp agencies kept offering me sales/customer service jobs. I kept telling them I didn't want that type of work; especially @ the pay rates they were paying. I thought about giving up on temp agencies and taking a break from grad school this semester in order to land a good paying job. I came upon McCall when I was searching online and saw some really good reviews. I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did that! Those recruiters are so nice and caring! It was only 1 week (roughly) after my interview that I was offered an accounting job with one of their clients. I am so happy. It's flexible to a degree with my schooling. I'm so glad I applied here! 8/6/2007

I have never used a temp agency before now. I was very suspicious about going through an agency. I made a call and scheduled an interview with the recruiter for the next day. I really took it with a grain of salt; not expecting too much from it. The moment I walked into their office, I felt really good about the whole inteview. Everybody at that company was so welcoming. I spoke with a really nice lady for about 20 minutes and then spoke to another very nice lady; whom I later realized was the owner. I couldn't believe how nice and helpful the owner was. She actually offered to edit my resume for me. When my resume was finished, it look impressive. She has a very cool way with words. Two days after my interview, I took a job they offered me; which lasted about 5 weeks and was then offered permanent employment with that company. Thanks McCall!!!!! Make McCall's your "Permanent" Temp Agency 7/20/2007

I moved here from NYC and listed with several temp agencies in San Francisco. McCall's Staffing is the only one I found that treated me as more than "just a number". Unlike the larger, less personal agencies, McCall's actually cares about you! They focus on matching my skills with the best possible assignments. Their kind, caring staff will have you placed very quickly, and with a real company, not a "call-center" like other agencies seem to do. Pros: Personal, caring staff concerned with the best placement for you. Cons: Only mine for not going to McCall's first! more
