I first became acquainted with the guys at Hilliard Tire about 2 months ago. I had a dead battery. They jumped my battery and took my car into their shop. Turns out I needed an alternator. New alternator in...I went on my way. On my way home, my car died again--not good on Hilliard-Rome Road. Marty came out...looked at it, decided the alternator was bad. He had the car towed back to the shop and they installed a new alternator the following day. Did I mention Marty took me home and then picked me up after my car was ready. Flash forward to this visit. Two lights were blinking on my dash (battery and brake). I called Marty and took my car in to have him take a look. You know it would not blink while Marty was in the car with me. We came up with a plan. Turns out, my car had its own plan. Sunday, March 30, I woke up to a dead battery. I'm thinking, really--new battery was installed in October, new alternator in late February. I called and left a message for Marty and the crew. Marty called me on Monday when the shop opened. He had my car towed in to the shop, offered to drive me to work, (due to my having meetings to attend and he not being able to get the car done until Tuesday he thought), I declined his generous offer and rented a car. I was surprised to hear from Marty at 1 pm that afternoon...noting my alternator had been defective. They installed a new one and got the car done on the same day it went in for service. Reluctantly, I returned my rental (a 2013 Dodge Charger) and got my car back. Due to the defective part, there was no charge. Marty did say as I was leaving, "I hope we don't see you anytime soon with issues." I told him "You will see me...but it will be for my oil change." I went in 2 months ago for one repair, and because of the way I am treated and the quality of service, they have a customer for life. more

I was referred to Hilliard Tire Center by family that has trusted their service for 20 years. I had a lot of issues with the dealership charging for service that wasn't necessary or service claimed to be done that was not and or not done right. Since coming to Hilliard Tire center I believe I have found a honest, friendly and reliable group. They take the time to show you and explain in detail what issues there are going on and I feel are very affordable. I would definately recommend them to friends. more

My family has been using Hilliard Tire Center for over fifteen years. I recently purchased four new tires and an oil change for my car and asked for a check of my brakes and other maintenance items. They provided honest feedback and did not try to sell me something that I did not need at that visit. We are very happy with the service and will continue to recommend Hilliard Tire to our friends and family. more

This is my 3rd time working with this business. Their prices are competitive to others in the area; however, many other places offer additional services with an oil change for free that Hilliard Tire Center doesn't. Many people would say that this business gives personalized service and more one-on-one attention because they are more local; however, that has not been my experience. The service here is just as good, and sometimes not as good, as any other auto service shop. One thing in particular bothers me here: I used a coupon from their website for my oil change, but this was not reflected on my receipt. As someone who budgets and keeps detailed track of vehicle maintenance, this is not acceptable, and makes me wonder what other corners are cut. On my last visit, it was frigid outside; the waiting area was full and everyone still had their coats on as the door doesn't close properly and has a huge gap near the bottom. I had to keep getting up from my seat nearest to the door and latch the door to keep it somewhat warm every time someone went in or out. On this trip, there was coffee made (a change from the other 2 times I was there); another customer tried to get some coffee, but couldn't find any cups and since nobody was at the service desk gave up. Another note: for both oil changes I have gotten here, the sticker that was placed in my car to tell me when to get my next change was written on with ink that beaded up, making the numbers illegible. Not only did they not find a better writing utensil to make a new one and just stuck the unreadable one to my windshield again, this time they also left the paper backing for the sticker in the car. I just don't see the attention and care that are exhibited at other auto service centers to customers, nor do I see the services offered together that others do. Paired with my first experience here, where I was quoted one price on the phone but charged much more when in the shop and was only saved by the person I spoke with on the phone walking in at the right moment, I will be going somewhere else for my next car care experience. I definitely think that Hilliard Tire Center has the potential to be a great local business but needs some work. more

No matter what the reason I bring my car in there is good conversation and a sense of humor. Appreciate you guys! more

A good honest bunch of people who know cars. They do it right the first time without trying to nickel and dime you for unneeded repairs or services. Their goal is to keep your car running. I highly recommend their work. more

I've been to Hilliard Tire Center twice; once for an oxygen sensor and this time for an oil change. I'm very happy with the work that was done on my car. However, I'm not a huge fan of the waiting area. There might be coffee and there might not be, the vending machines have nothing in them, and the magazines are ancient. It's just not welcoming or comfortable. And the customer service leaves a little to be desired. On my first trip, I was quoted a much different price on the phone than I was given after the work was done on my car, and I had to argue for quite awhile before being charged the first price. But, as stated before, I am happy with the work done on my car, and will continue to go to Hilliard Tire Center. I can always go to a restaurant to wait; there are some within walking distance. And I was given the right price eventually. more
