After traveling to Hilliard to visit friends we discovered our brakes were making a strange noise. We took our car to Hilliard Tire and Auto. They told us our brake pads needed to be replaced and it would cost $295.00. This seemed rather steep for brake pads so we called around and found the average cost was $150.00. We called Hilliard Tire and Auto and told them we were taking our vehicle elsewhere as they were too expensive. We picked up our car a few minutes later and drove it immediately to Midas (many props to the folks at Midas) when they removed our tires they discovered that somebody had taken a hammer to our rotors. The damage was recent and obviously deliberate. At this point we not only needed to replace our brake pads but now our rotors as well. There was no doubt the damage had been done at Hilliard Tire and Auto. Needless to say we called the police. We would have pressed criminal charges had we lived in the area. The owner of Hilliard Tire and Auto agreed to pay to have the rotors replaced. The owner claimed the rotors were accidently damaged when being removed and that they replaced the damaged rotors when we wanted to take our car to another garage. A few problems with this justification. First the rotors should never have been removed as they were only replacing our break pads. Why bother taking our car to another garage if they were replacing both brake pads and rotors for $295.00 (the average price to have both replaced). Secondly the folks at Midas claimed there was no justification for the damage they saw even if the rotors were difficult to remove. So Buyer BEWARE! Pros: null Cons: null more

I bought tires from them, and got a competitive price and good service. \r \r Before having them do a repair, check them out with the Better Business Bureau. They've had some problems.\r \r I compared price for labor on one particular repair needed in over 10 places in Columbus. The general price was $250. One fool individual mechanic wanted $325. All other prices were well under $300, including several certified master technicians -- except Hilliard Tire wanted $400 plus tax.\r \r Of course, I did not have them do the work, so I don't know about the quality of their repairs. more

I love this place. I will go here and only here no matter what my needs are. They do great work, and they do it cheaper than anyone. My girlfriend took her car to Monro Muffler and Brakes to have some brake work done and they wanted to charge her over $800 for everything she needed done. Hilliard Tire said they would do it for $300. They treat every customer like the character Norm in the show Cheers. Every time you walk in they are happily greeting you. Let me be very clear. I do not trust anyone in the auto industry, but I would let the people at Hilliard Tire do work on my grandmothers car while watching my infant child and holding onto my social security card and checking account number. These are great people who have time after time performed amazing work on my vehicle. I finally traded in for a new car, but Hilliard tire helped me squeeze 3 years out of my payed off truck. I have been a customer of Hilliard Tire now for about 3 years. I am in sales so at times I just drop it off and say, "Jason, do what needs done." This is a place you can go to and know that you are not being taken advantage of. Pretty much, a place where I can safely send my grandma!! more

After hitting a curb when I was in Hilliard I decided to stop in to the Hilliard Tire Center to get an estimate on the damages. When I arrived Jason said they would call me back in the next few hours. I waited an entire day with no phone call from them! Then, a began calling the following day and they kept telling me that my car was next. When they finally called me back they let me know that the damage was something that they could not repair. Then, they charged me $70.00!!!! I told her that I was not aware that they charged for an estimate, and she said they didn't. They chose to hook my car up to a machine that tested the alignment and charged me for it without even asking my approval!!! Then, she said I could not transfer my car to a different shop unless I paid the fee. They didn't even fix or do anything and they are charging me...that's rediculous! I am very disappointed! This shop is off the beaten path and not a large garage but worth finding. I took my Honda Civic in for tires. I needed a low cost set installed by a 10:00 AM deadline that same morning. They were friendly, gave me a good competitive price and got me out the door on time.\r I have been there a couple of times since and have been happy with the service. I'll be going there again soon. more

I like to support local small businesses and that is what drew me to Hilliard Tire Center. They do all kinds of auto work as well as handling tires, and we went there to price a tire for my wife's car. While they were not the lowest and we didn't end up buying, they always treated us with respect and were kind and courteous. Very nice, family run local place! more

They take great pride in their work and always have great deals. They're always quick and efficient providing excellent information on preventitive care and what will work best for you. They're not out to get your money or try to sell you something you really don't need. Anytime you need reliable mechanics, this is the place to go! more
