We were so happy with our experience at Martin's Appliance. Jonathan Martin is an outstanding salesperson and a true asset to this company. He spent more than enough time with us and was so patient. We came in to look at appliances twice before making a final decision and he was always so patient with us. Excellent experience from start to installation 1/5/2013

I went to Martin's Appliance on the recommendation of a friend and I'm very glad I did. The salesperson, Mike, was very professional and knew his products. The installation was also handled professionally, with the installers having to add some wood to my flooring because of prior dishwasher damage which we did not know about when we purchased the new unit. more

Terrible customer service! 1/3/2013

Martin's was sent out through a service contract we have with our stove manufacturer. We have had 4 visits in less than a month and the problem is still not resolved. After the third visit, the stove worked for about a week and then died 2 days before New Year's. Although we told them exactly what had happened (keypad had failed, which was same problem as before; they had installed 2 defective ones prior) and asked them (via several phone calls to the office as well as the technician who came every time) to bring that part, they: (1) made us wait until 3 workdays later to show up at 4 PM WITHOUT PARTS OR HAVING ORDERED PARTS. That was a Thursday, too late to order parts until the next day and no chance of a working stove before midway through the next week at the earliest . We called the office and spoke with both a manager and a supervisor who refused to do anything more than call the parts supplier to see if it could be sent any sooner, but even if so, refused to send anyone out in the evening or on Saturday to install it if it even came in on Friday or Saturdsy. There was no recognition that they are being paid to keep the stove working and had dropped the ball in terms of not getting it right the first two times. In any other business there would be an effort to do whatever it took to help a customer you had let down. RESPONSE FROM Martin Appliance: We apologize that we were not able to exceed your expectations in your experience with our service department. In reviewing the situation it appears everything would have went well if the parts supplier would have sent a functional part the first time. Unfortunately they not only sent one bad part, but two, which is entirely outside of our control. The fact that the third part failed after only a week (and failed between Christmas and New Years) really complicated the already complex situation. While our goal is to satisfy all of our customers in every situation possible there are times when circumstances prevent us from doing this. Faulty parts, jammed service schedules (caused by short work weeks around Christmas and New Years) and parts suppliers with limited hours all contributed to an experience that was not acceptable to you. We hope you give us the opportunity to serve you in the future so you can experience why our customers have chosen Martin Appliance as their trusted service provider and supplier of new appliances. more

Poor service by service manager who did not follow through or help after the extended warrenty that they sold ran out. 11/8/2012

Randy was a great salesperson. Curt is a great repair person. When our 2700$ GE Profile refrigerator started having problems, it was fixed. Now only 5.5 years old, the refrigerator has had over $900 in repairs and is still not working. We continue to have black mold and moisture issues, well documented online for this model. I asked for help from the service manager who stated he would try. Even though Bill said he would, he never called GE or talked to his sales rep. In fact, he threw away the information passed on to him from the GE advocate. The last repair bill was almost $400 and did not correct the problem. GE stated that I should have used factory authorized service instead of Martins, then they could have helped. Bill stated that was true. Even though the repair Curt did guaranteed by them, he stated that I should call GE to get them to fix it, because he stated that GE won't do anything and in his experience GE will recommend that I buy a new refrigerator (we paid $2700 for this frig!). I asked why his company sold GE is they felt that way about their products/service and he stated that if he didn't sell appliances that had problems, there would be none in his store. Pay less at a box store and at least you may be able to get more help. RESPONSE FROM Martin Appliance: Judi, we are very sorry for the problems you have been having and can understand your frustration. Our hope is that as we continue to work with you and GE on this situation that it will be resolved. Fortunately $500 of that $900 occurred under your contract and when we do get the situation resolved we want to come to a fair resolution on the $400 you spent in the past six months. Our goal is to always follow through on everything we commit to doing but unfortunately it does not always happen - your feedback is helping us improve our processes. I apologize for GE's confusion on us being an authorized service provider. We are one of only a few authorized independent service providers and some of the people in their call center automatically assume if GE didn't service it directly that it must have been done by someone not authorized. We do really appreciate your business and your feedback and will do all we can to continue to assist you in getting this issue resolved with GE's help. more

4 appliances-3 needed repair 10/30/2012

We purchased 4 Bosch appliances in June, and since then, 3 of them have required repairs. We're quite upset at spending this kind of money and having problems with the appliances so quickly. We are very nervous about the longevity of these appliances. RESPONSE FROM Martin Appliance: I reviewed your service history and would agree you have experienced a higher volume of service than we typically see early on in the life of an appliance. One service call is fairly typical in this time period in a new package of appliances but three is rare. Fortunately with Bosch appliances you do have a better warranty than most brands offer and their product reliability is generally superior to many other brands. Hopefully this is the end of your service issues but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have further problems. I hope your experience with our service department was a positive one in spite of the frustration of the appliances requiring service. Bought a Gas Range and Frig from Martin Appliance 9/21/2012

Showroom was well stocked, sales person was knowledgable. I found the same appliances cheaper at other vendors, but the service contract was the attraction for buying from Martin Appliance. My delivery request was lost so I ended up waiting for 5 hours for a delivery that never arrived. One day of vacation lost. I called them and they got someone to bring it out, but I still lost most of a day. The appliances look and work great. I would recommend, but they need to do the small things well also. there was a problem with the washer we received. it was very loud. a service man said it needed several new parts. i did not feel good about a new washer needing new parts so i asked to return it for another washer. i was given a full refund and purchased another washer. more
