Discern the value 10/8/2009

With today's clothing prices and the unattractive "styles" in retail stores, I find consignment stores in general a wonderful solution. Margaret's is at the top of the genre. I don't think the previous reviewer is too picky, just not very discerning. Obviously not a patron of many better consignment shops. Maybe you consider Walmart good retail. In that event, you should be trying thrift stores for your "used clothing" as you put it. Classic shops like Margaret's and similar are more for classic shoppers - those who invest in quality that endures, not low end stuff that's in the rag bag next year. Find your level and stick with it and PLEASE - don't criticize what you don't understand. more

Consignment store 8/23/2005

I have been to Margaret's a few times with friends. I can say that I was not all that impressed. I did not think that there was that much of a selection, and what they did have I thought was way too overpriced to be second hand. The clothing that she did have were catered to more upscale dressing I should say. Maybe I am just too picky, but I will not be going back there anytime soon. more

MARGARET'S CONSIGNMENT STORE 8/1/2005

Margaret's is located on Frankfort Avenue by Hite Avenue. If you have clothes to consign, make sure they are clean, pressed, and on hangers. They are very picky... I have taken in brand new,in style clothes and they were not taken.Also, they take only in season clothes. They seem to know what sell and what doesn't. Clothes are a bit pricey if you are there to shop. However, there are always bargains to be had. more
