AVOID AT ALL COSTS - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! 8/10/2006

On June 27th, 2006 I had the misfortune of having this company move me. They showed up with 4 movers, but it might as well have been 2 as only 2 were really ever doing anything. These idiots are amateurs at best, and broke five pieces of my expensive furniture. The will try to get you to sign a valuation statement on the bill of lading that states that if they break anything their liability will only be limited to 30¢ per pound per item. So unless your furniture weighs a few tons you can expect to get enough back to buy you lunch at Micky D's should something go wrong. With such a small downside what do they care if they break your stuff! I immediately crossed that thirty business out which means that my valuation is $2,500.00. Do you think they will honor that - forget it. These guys are just another batch of these Israeli movers that you need to watch out for. Book at your own risks!! more

I received 3 more estimates other than Manor's decided to go with Manor but I only tried to schedule the move 10 days in advance and they were booked for that day, I didn't give up and rescheduled with the buildings. Pros: professional, Fast, Very nice to deal with more

Buyer Beware 5/9/2006

Charged me too much, made up a parking ticket that they were never able to show to me and broke a number of items out of sheer carelessness -- a wooden bookshelf with doors was broken because they put it on its back in the truck and stacked stuff on top -- the wood split. I was very afraid of the big cruel moving companies, and most of my furniture is very valuable and delicate. Manor has made the way home easier 4/23/2006

We had a lot of problems with closing on our new house and with our contractor and with the closing on our own apartment in the city, but the one part that was smooth and relaxing was Manor. We got all the explanations and information ahead of time (even information our building should have provided us with) Manor was very accommodating with our special scheduling needs and very prompt through out the whole process and after a long and tiring day they also helped us unpack, which was great, helping us to prepare for a new working day. Never move with anybody else 3/23/2006

I moved with Manor the end of the last month and I was just proud of my movers, it was very busy in my building and there were a few movers working at the same time, Manor guys stood out in the crowd they have uniform, are very organized, all my belongings were wrapped and protected the whole move was neat and planed. To all you citysearch users, I took my chances before and tried to save every penny on what seems to be a simple job, but when you consider that the simple job at hand includes handling all my possessions it isnt so simple anymore. I had bad experience with movers before and each time found myself dealing with horrible situations with nobody to speak to. In the morning of the move I was very nervous. The team of movers was early and the supervisor of the team spoke with me and explained everything to me and when we finished all the signatures all the boxes were already out of my apartment. From the first phone call till the last of my items reached my new apartment it was 1 happy smooth experience. The response on the phone was great very friendly and informative, I received all the information in advance. It was the first time I moved with a moving company they helped me every step of the way, with the building the management even with my contractor (who was not so cooperative).
