Love it! Faithful Customer for Years! 10/29/2011

The exact opposite of what the last 3 bad reviews have said. I've been going to Luna Nails for years so I should know. Have also lived in various big cities across the country so I have a good gauge of what a great nail salon should be. They are all very friendly with great customer service skills and the place is very clean. I was lucky to find Luna Nails and I will stick with them! I recommend either Tracy or Lynn if you'd like to call to make an appointment. BTW, I don't know what ""male owner"" they were talking about....never seen him before! These girls must be talking about the wrong nail salon. more

SUCKS!!!!!!! 7/23/2011

First off, let me begin with the place extremely dirty. My gel polish came off the next day. Employees didn't speak English and they weren't able to explain why my cuticle was bleeding during my manicure. Their tools did not look sterilized and the spa chairs had a foul odor coming from them. I would not suggest coming here. more

HORRIBLE!!! 6/20/2011

DO NOT USE THIS SALON!!!!!! The OWNER admitted himself that he does NOT CARE about his clients.... I had a very bad experience after being a committed customer for over a year and he was not willing to hold up to the refund promised to me when it came time and told me he would prefer to lose a client than do what he has to to resolve the situation because he does not want a single customer thinking that he would ever do them a favor or make them happy with the services!!! HORRIBLIE!!!! more

Clueless Service! 6/10/2011

I read many good reviews on this website about this shop and I was very excited to check out the great service they advertise, but when I got there to get my pedicure done, OMG, what a job, I could not believe it was the same shop mentioned in the site. Employees didn't speak English correctly and didn't understand what I wanted when I was trying to explain to them. Their tools and the shop in general was extremely dirty. Employees lacking professionalism. I would not recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good service nail shop. more

The number one nail salon in Austin! 6/8/2011

I have been to countless nail salons in Austin but I paid high prices for not so great service! But here at Luna Nail salons I had great service and a great price! The staff there is so friendly and nice! The salon is so clean and I have allergies but here I could breath clearly the music is always nice and relaxing I could also watch TV there. I could bring my laptop or any device that requires Wi-fi and it is free when I get a pedicure! more

best nail salon in austin 6/3/2011

I had been going to Lunar Nail and Spa for a few months and I absolutely LOVE the place! It's the perfect setting, very relaxing and calm. Unlike other nails salon, this place is super clean and smells great. I hate cheap places as I've seen many friends who get infections. Not at Lunar Nails, They take hygiene very seriously, which is a deciding factor for me. The owner, Tracy, is a fantastic manicurist and knows how to please her customer. She also does gel nails, which I think are the best. I'm picky and very particular about my nails. The gel nail polish lasted on my fingers for 3 weeks! My toes nails lasted forever, If i had to guess it's probably 2 months or more. I'd recommend this place to all my friends and family. more

Awful Experience 5/8/2011

I was there this weekend for Mother's Day. First off the shop was extremely dirty. I saw tools that did not appear to be clean when they are supposed to be. During my pedicure the girl that was doing the job didn't know what she was doing and she cut me. I bled a little and it hurt. I tried to find her license so I could get her name but was unable to. I would not recommend this to anyone. more

Beautiful nails! 7/27/2009

No, I wasn't offered refreshments (but they do have a water dispenser) and by appearances it is a nice nail salon, but nothing fancy. I am extremely picky about my nails, however, and they do an incredible job! When my mom comes to visit she insists on going here because their pedicures are a step above what she gets in Houston. She has issues with her toes. They have several options for their spa pedicure, which is nice! I like the parafin wax. I have solar nails and will drive 20 min to get them done there because they do a great job. As for nails colors, they have quite a variety, some ""expensive brand names"" to others that I don't know. Either way, I have never had any paint chip off of a pedicure done there within the first 4 weeks! more

Average nail salon. Don't understand why they have this picture of a salon on this site because it is not the same salon. I looked at this site before I went there and thought I was at the wrong place because the picture looks nothing like the salon...it looks like your normal nail salon in a plaza shopping center. Don't know why is says comp refreshments because no one in there was offered any. Service was average, pricing was average. Sometimes couldn't understand what the lady was saying. Don't really know what all the hype is about. Pros: quick sevice more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! 3/28/2008

I've been here so many times and the service each time is absolutely wonderful. I usually get a manicure and pedicure but sometimes I do go for the solar nails, which by the way is incredibly natural looking. Lynne is my nail tech and she is friendly, very attentive, and handles herself in a very professional manner. The shop itself is very clean. The entire staff is friendly. If you decide to do a walk in, the wait is not long at all. I should know this because I've done a few walk ins myself. All in all, Luna Nail Spa is a terrific place to get your nails done! Great service all around 3/26/2008

I've been here a few years and paid high prices for crappy service. I finally searched for a place around where I happened to be for the day and found Luna. Very convenient location. I was a walk in and was treated like royalty. Very friendly and welcoming. Lynn was my nail tech and she was freakin awesome! She knew exactly how I wanted it done and did an excellent job! Such a great atmosphere and awesome prices. I'll never go to another place. Thanks Lynn!!!! Pros: loved everything about Luna!!! more

Beautiful Nails!! 3/13/2008

I've used both Thomas and Lynne and had great experiences with both nail techs. My nails were a mess, but Lynne used a darker pink and it covered my spots perfectly. I've never had to wait when I've made an appointment, and I've had great pedicures too. Pros: Very Natural Looking Nails more

Just your average nail salon, I had read such good reviews maybe my expectations were too high. I made an appointment but they didn't get me in on time (it was a monday at 1pm) The mani and pedi were acceptable and the service was average for this type of nail salon. more

Fabulous 8/31/2007

I decided to go here for my first manicure, based on the reviews and I loved it. Lynn did my nails and she was so accommodating and friendly. She did a wonderful job, my nails look beautiful. I also decided to have my eyebrows waxed and she did a great job on them too. The prices are great, the staff is friendly and the place is very nicely decorated. I will definately be going back! Pros: Price, location, staff, very clean Cons: none more

I went to Luna for the first time and I loved it! I had this girl that worked part time there with perfect english do my manicure and pedicure and it was great! Nice atmosphere and relaxing music. I wish they had more colors though. Not enough to choose from. But otherwise, Angie did a wonderful job! Very sweet and can start a great conversation! more

Wonderful Manicure and Pedicure!!! 1/25/2007

Since moving to Austin I had not had a Manicure or Pedicure in what seemed like ages! So knowing I had a Holiday coming up (MLK Birthday), I decided to go to Austin City Search to check out the reviews. I found several but the one for Luna Nail Spa was great! So I called, and set an appointmnet - well you know we had just the worst weather possible and many things were closed down, but I called and they were open - well Luna is only 3 miles down the road, so I very carefully drove myself down to the shop. It was nice, bright and warm and clean inside, I was the only customer for half an hour but that was understandable, I had a great Manicure and Pedicure and I've told several of my friends and co-workers. Pros: Only 3 people working by very attentive. more

I have been to many spas around Austin, and I thought this place was just average. The pricing and value is ok, and even though the technicians and owner were very friendly, I really did not have a good, relaxing time there the first time I went. The person working on me seemed a little unsure of what she was doing, and I really did not enjoy that. The second time went better, however, I have to admit. The atmosphere and decor is just ok, I thought it was kind of cheesy at times. Pros: It was a convienient location for me Cons: OK Atmosphere, average service, nothing special more

A job well done! 11/20/2006

I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and had a great first experience. The staff was attentive and professional. The solar nails look close to real. The pedicure was great! They have new chairs that are in good condition. Pedicure included a foot scrub, leg scrub, and leg massage. Best experience for the price I've found in town. Pros: Clean, Value Cons: Atmosphere was just OK more
