Cozy 1/1/2010

The place is cute and cozy. The desserts are nicely decorated however they are too sweet for my taste. The employees are not the friendliest and welcoming. The hygiene practices there are questionable. One of the employees used his bare hands to pick up my pie after he handled money with it (i.e. germs, germs, germs). The coffee is really good there. Pros: comfortable Cons: too sweet more

red velvet 9/21/2009

the red velvet is awesome....everything else is ok...VERY sweet, if you like magnolia bakery these taste very similar. a little expensive. coffee is good too but way overpriced. Pros: decent cupcake Cons: the rest of the desserts more

Pillsbury Has More Flavor 7/7/2009

Very cute cozy shop with baked goods that look great, but are tasteless. Appalling for what they’re charging. Save your money. Pros: Cute, cozy, shop. Cons: Bad ingredients equals no taste. more

DELISH!!! 2/25/2009

While in Brooklyn today visiting my grandfather, I went to the Little Cupcake Bakeshop with my daughter, and was very pleasantly surprised! We thought the cupcakes were yummy!! I'm a baker (and a very good one i may add!!) and i loved it! The girls that worked there were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. It was organized and clean (which is something i always look at before I order anything), and it had a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered 5 to go, and took a little taste of each when we got home. The red velvet was delicious...the cake was perfect, the golden cupcake had a nice vanilla flavor, devils food had good rich chocolate flavor, the carrot was moist and tasty, and the peanut butter was my least favorite but still good. The frosting on all of them had nice texture and taste. The banana pudding was creamy and delicious too!! I think this adorable little shop is soooo much better then Magnolia!! I found Magnolia cupcakes to be dry and tastless and their frosting tasted like crisco and sugar.....yuck!! Magnolia's staff was unfriendly, sloppy and robotic, and decor was boring. The Little Cupcake bakeshop is well worth the visit. I look forward to going back and tasting more of their yummy treats!! Cons: parking more

OK, Ok, ok......I admit it, I'm hooked!!! 1/26/2009

I really didn't want to do this...but I finally gave in and now I'm hooked....I dunno how to explain it, I'm not sure if it's the dessert (BEST CUPCAKES THIS SIDE OF THE EQUATOR), the actual place (ATMOSPHERE IS AMAZING) or the beautiful people watching I enjoy (I'M KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT ON THIS ONE)...maybe it's all three.....whatever it is.. All I can say is that I'm in love with the Little Cupcake Bakery! Pros: great dessert and coffee..staff is wonderful!!! Cons: difficult to find parking. more

Ripped Off! 12/2/2008

We just came back from little cupcake bakeshop. We've been there for years. No problems until now; just realized that we got ripped off. A cupcake and a small banana pudding for $7.00. A gentleman with glasses took care of the transaction. When we realized what happened, it was too late since they were closing. Should have been $5.75 accordding to the website's menu. Extremely disappointed with the dishonest service. Pros: Nice decoration, good atmosphere Cons: DISHONEST SERVICE, THEY RIP YOU OFF! more

If you like dry, stale cupcakes then this is the place for you. 2/12/2008

My heading says it all. I bought 2 cupcakes, took a bite out of each and had to chuck them. Very hard to swallow. Wanted to buy a coffee to wash it all down but didn't want to take a chance with that either. Defn not recommended. Pros: it seems pretty empty everytime I walk by it so seating shouldn't be an issue Cons: everything else more

Cool Cupcakes in Bay ridge! 6/19/2007

Finally something comparable to manhattan in bay ridge. I got 40 cupcakes for a birthday party and was not disapionted! These cupackes were amazing, i have had the Magnolia ones many times and I think i like these better! The cake was moist and the icing was thick but not too buttery. Even the simple vanilla cupcake was great. Red Velvet was the favorite of the crowd though! more

Cupcake Heaven 2/5/2007

After my visit to Little Cupcake bakeshop I was left absolutely amazed and speechless; but not to speechless enough to write an incredibly well deserved review for this incredible establishment in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn. Immediately as I pulled up to this bakery and noticed its playful, yet sophisticated and chic atmosphere my excitement grew. As I entered the bakery and was engulfed by the smell of freshly baked cupcakes, cheescakes and freshly brewed Illy espresso ( only used at the top establishments in the world) my brain was going haywire at the ethereal aroma of the entire shoppe. With the mint frosted walls, and its elegant chandeliers the bakeshoppe exudes traditional Americana life at its prime. With its light and airy red velvet cupcakes, and non cloying cream cheese frosting to its raspberry white chocolate cheescakes and hummingbird layer cake filled with delicious pecan one is surrounded by pure bliss. I can say without fear of any contradiction that this is the best cupcake bakeshoppe in the five boroughs. No pretentious staff, no overhyped cupcakes and actual sweet goodness. Needless to say it has my highest reccomendation!!! Pros: Amazing desserts are fair prices Cons: None come to mind more

I dream about the lemon cupcakes... 4/19/2006

The red velvet are marvelous too, better than Buttercup's red velvet. Good coffee too. more

Wow!!!! 1/24/2006

I was intoduced to the Little Cupcake Bakeshop thru a friend who brought cupcakes to a party we were attending. When she told us where they were from, we were like Bay Ridge??? Being that we live on Staten Island, it's not often that we got to that neck of the woods. None of us knew there even was a cupcake shop there. We all just assumed they were from some place in the city....But let me tell you, these cupcakes were such a huge hit, needless to say there were none left over, even the cute pink boxes they were in were nowhere to be found.......OK..That was like 2 months ago, now 5 pounds later, it seems like we cant get enough of this place. My biggest mistake was visiting the shop because now it's so hard to stay away from it.....the red velvet was to die for. Pros: great cupcakes, atmosphere Cons: no parking more

Simply the best!!!! 1/22/2006

The cupcakes at this giant doll/gingerbread house over at 91st and 3rd are awesome....Since theyve opened, everyone I know has been raving about this place. It's sooo cute and adorable you just want to take it home with you. The dessert is simply the best I've had in a long time. Being a native New Yorker, I've probably been to every cupcake bakery in this city, but nobody tops this place. It's too bad I live 20 minutes by car from here, but a few coworkers of mine have done the honorable deed of bringing these delicious cupcakes to work. It's like we cant be without them...hehe Pros: best cupcakes, great cookies, the coffee Cons: 1hr train from NYC more

Blech! 1/17/2006

Save your money and just buy a box of Betty Crocker cake mix. These cupcakes taste like old, DRY cake mix from the box. I have tried their cupcakes and cakes several times and every time I was disappointed. They may look good, but they definitely don't taste fresh baked! Pros: good coffee, nice setup, polite employees Cons: terrible cupcakes more

I like these cupcakes. 11/28/2005

After reading about the Little Cupcake shop in an article, I decided to give them a shot. Being that I live in Manahattan. it's kind of a treck to get out there just to eat cakes when I have so many choices here in the city. But let me tell you, the cupcakes were so delicious, i really think thses are the best so far. I would definetly recomend anyone to this place. The look and feel were also so inviting, it's likeme and my friends did not want to leave. The cakes were great, the coffee was awesome. The only negative if there is one has to be that I got a parking ticket while there! Pros: inexpensive, delicious cupcakes, great cappucino Cons: parking, crowded more
