Bad service 3/6/2012

Initially, it seems like the prices are right for boarding. That's before the idiot burnout behind the counter on Sundays starts tallying things up. No one else charges a full day for Sunday pickup. I was told that the grooming for my 2 dogs would cover the cost of 1 day of boarding. They neglected to tell me that you also had to pick them up that same day. They did the grooming on Saturday but I wasn't scheduled to pick my dogs up until Sunday. The burnout was going to charge me for 3 full days + grooming. I didn't ask for the grooming to be on Saturday. I asked that it be done before I picked them up. Then, when a price was finally agreed to, I got to hear the burnout's political rantings. (in the voice of Chong) "Your price is $xxx.xx + Obama's take." Seriously? That's how you talk to customers? I had to remind the dumbass that President Obama didn't set up the local and state sales tax. He then went on some stupid rant about debt, etc. In business, you don't talk about politics to your customers because you rarely know what side they fall on. It was about as unprofessional as can be. The cost seems good but you will get nickled and dimed. The actual grooming and boarding is fine. I have no complaints there. Other than the poor service by one idiot burnout and his rantings and the cost structure that they neglect to discuss when dropping off, the place is fine. more

Best Groomer I've Been To! 2/28/2012

Today I took my dog, Phoenix, to Leslie's for the first time and was very pleased with the results. I normally take him to PetSmart but I am glad I switched. Not only was the price lower, but they did more than PetSmart and they did a great job. I have never seen Phoenix so clean! more

Happy Dog 5/13/2011

We have been taking our Scottish Terrier to Leslie's for about 5 years for grooming and boarding. We have always had a great experience. Our dog JUMPS to get out of the car when we arrive and he hasn't always done that at other grooming establishments. Eric, Leslie's husband, is informative and super friendly to the dogs and their owners. We always request the same groomer (Katie) who used to be a vet tech and she's amazing as well. Our terrier recently had to have surgery on his leg and needed to be groomed; they accommodated us by allowing him to come in late and be done early. When boarding your dog, get an exact quote when you drop your dog off so there are no surprises when you pick him up and you'll be fine! more

Response to "not a happy customer" 1/9/2011

I must say your review was not fair. When you are reviewing a business you should at least be fair. First of all, the rates are posted for you to see when you drop off your dogs. The fees are by weight so of course since your dogs are different sizes the fees are different. The rate of $17.50 is extremely low. Try a place like Dirty Dog in Austin and see what a high rate is ($63 a night). Surely Leslie's does not have webcams and tvs for the dogs but come on you paid $17.50 - $19.00 a night. I asked a worker about your review specifically and what you said about the pick up and you tried to pick up on Christmas day if I recall them saying. They are not open on Christmas day. There is no one from the front office to check out customers only kennel workers that are not authorized to check out. Again, be fair when reviewing a business. The public relies on these reviews to judge a business. more

They know his name 9/16/2010

I may be biased, but my dog is the best ever! They of course remember his name and are excited when we call for reservations. He is happy to go there and sad to leave. His accommodations are the best, a room to himself, friends to frolic with and people to serve him. I was never a dog freak and swore I would never be, BUT since him I have become one and must ensure he is the happiest ever. If you don't want to worry bring your pet here, they are the animal freaks we all are in the closet. more

Happy dog 4/5/2010

I have been bringing my dog to Leslie's for boarding for years and every time I pick up my bailey she is tired from playing and hoarse from all of her barking. I am always impressed with how nice it smells despite being a dog kennel and will continue to bring my feisty lab whenever I go out of town. more

not a happy customer 1/1/2010

I am no longer a happy customer of Leslie's Pet Perfections. After using their service many times before, this past week-end has been a night mare. Frist off the price. When I called for the appointment I was told it was $17.00 a day. (I wrote it down in my notes) I own 5 dogs so at $17.00 a day that is expensive. But when we got there to pick the dogs up on Thursday after noon (we were after 12:00 noon because of flight delays) we were not allowed to pick our pets up even though there were 3 employees standing there. We were forced to pay for an extra day's care. Then on top of being forced into paying the extra day when I got there this morning I was informed that my fee was not $17.00 a day but was $17.50 a day for 3 dogs and $21.00 for my Bassett and $19.00 for my over weight doxie. (she has Cushings disease) My total bill was more than $500.00 way more than the $350.00 we had budgeted. To make matters worse, when I got my dogs home they were all 5 very hungry, very thirsty, and everyone had to go 'toilet' very quickly. I do not believe they had been feed in a while. I do not understand these high fees as my dogs shared one cage, I provided their food 100%, From now on when we must board the girls we will be using the Covered Wagon in Hutto. My advice is to call them and check it out. Pros: they had an opening in Dec. more

Great 1st Impression! 7/6/2009

The 1st time my daughter and I brought our pet there for grooming, we were welcomed with open arms. Literally! As we walked in the front lobby, a young woman came and took our pet and just loved on it. She had never met Baylee before but treated our pet as an old friend. The dog went crazy and we just knew this was the place for Baylee. We have recommended three friends to Leslie's and will continue to do so in the future. Arnold, Marisa and Baylee Pros: Great and caring staff more

AWESOME Groomers 5/11/2009

They are awesome groomers who know what they are doing. They will cater to your specific dog's needs, and actually listen and deliver what you want. There are never any surprises when I pick up my 3 Pomeranians from getting groomed. I love Leslie's and so do my dogs. I recommend Leslie's to everyone. Pros: They do a fantastic grooming job Cons: None more

Rain's Doggie Daycare! Best Care at the Right Price. 1/15/2009

When I brought my pooch home in the fall of 2004, I knew that being single and raising a Vizsla would be a tremendous task. Working for The Man in Round Rock, I needed a place that allowed flexibility, had reasonable rates, and ultimately had an owner that cared for my 4-legged daughter like I do. Rain, my ADHD Vizsla, has gone to Leslie's since she was spayed in her 1st year. Daycare allows Rain to be a dog, socializing with many breeds. Vizslas, a very high energy breed, are known to be jumpers. My Rain enjoys spending time between all the pens, jumping over fences and saying hello to her furry friends. I get updates from the staff on the funny events that occur such as her catching the live chicken, chasing squirrels, play habits, taking the cordless phone from the back pocket of one of the staff, and other great stories. When I travel and board her there, Rain always comes home exhausted from playing so hard and having so much fun. There has been a few isolated incidences when she comes home with a little cut on her nose or bitten ear over the past 4 years, but that could happen anytime you have dogs interacting and doing "the dominance dance". On cold days, Rain grunts and doesn't want to get up when she knows she'll be spending the day in the back yard. All I have to do is mention, "doggie daycare" and she bolts out of her bed, slides down the hall bouncing into the walls (as she skids toward the door on the tile), then jumps 7 feet straight up at the door eager to go to daycare. Truly, if you are not taking your dog to Leslie's, your pup's missing out; missing out on the king of the hill obstacle, the covered pens, the toys, the friends of all sizes and breeds, and even the spa treatment if you need nail's dremelled or a shampoo/cut/blow dry. So if you see this adorable Vizsla bouncing in the yard, jumping from one pen to the next with a grin on her face, tail wagging without a care in the world, say hello to my daughter enjoying her 2nd home. more

I actually used to work here 11/8/2008

I worked at Leslie's awhile back, and still prefer to take my pets here. I will say, however, if you have an unruly animal that is difficult to handle, whether it be with strangers, under the clippers/nail grinders, or a cat that prefers to stay in its cage, do not take your pet here. I absolutely love it otherwise. The dogs have kennels according to their size and go out every so often. Leslie is very particular about making sure aggressive dogs are in their own kennels and that the dogs who can't last in the heat very long are put inside after a limit. I've also helped her with grooming, and if your dog is ruly (or even mostly ruly) she gets the job done and makes sure it looks good. She even puts little bows and doggy cologne on them. Leslie really does love animals and it reflects in her work and usually in the people she hires. I would work here again if given the chance. There are MANY regulars and everyone loves them. The prices aren't bad and the animals are well taken care of. I've never heard anyone curse around a customer, and customer service is definitely something that is important here. I really love taking my dogs to Leslie's because I know they'll be taken care of. more

Terriable establishment 9/9/2008

I would never reccomend LESLIES PET PURRFECTIONS TO ANYONE!! I took my dog there only once and that was all I ever needed to do to find out how terriable this place is. I brought her in for a simple cut and groom, and she ended up coming home with multiple bite marks and a staph infection. Not to mention the staff was discouteous and rude. Especially Leslie the owner who not only acted as if the promblems with my dog were not her fault, but she was especially rude and unprofessional with the rest of her staff. If you have any sense whatsoever never take your animal to this place. Pros: none Cons: Where should I star more

Leslies' pets I do not recommend! 6/15/2008

They do not treat the dogs well. I went there to take our dog. I saw the cages and they treat dogs poorly. all the dogs don't get enough attention and they don't get to run around and play. To many are together unsupervised and dogs get into fights. The dogs didn't get the proper shots they needed to be with other dogs. I would not recommend this to any one that wants to bring their pet. Pros: none!!! Cons: too many to list! more

long time customer 4/7/2008

I've known leslie and her employee's for 15 year's, They are the most pet loving people i've ever meet. I've seen the work they have done with the rescue people in Willamson and Travis County, and would trust my Rocky with them any time. leslie is good people!! more

dog died under their "care" 2/21/2008

My maltese dog (bebe) was brutally attacked by other dogs while boarding @ leslie's pet purfection & passed away on 1/1/08. Owner/staff never called in case of emergency and all they told me was: " I've no idea what happened & your dog was laying on ground unconcious all of the sudden" "bebe was not with any fierce dogs" . Ironically, from vet's report that my dog had bite wounds all over his dead body and was actually bitten to death. Given with their rediculous/unacceptable excuses, I am taking legal action against them for negligence. I'm writing this out in sorrow & hoping a tragedy like this will not happen to others again- think twice before you send your beloved child to their hands. more

Awesome kennel!! 7/25/2006

my dog can't wait to jump out of the car to go play with his furry friends and all of the staff at Leslie's. They are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone! more

My dog is happy!!! 4/17/2006

My dog, a beagle, loves going here either to just play for the day or play for the day and then spend the night. As soon as we pull up to Doggy Daycare, he can hardly wait to get out. I feel very comfortable leaving him here with people who love their jobs and will take of him as if he were theuir own. more
