Be able to wait for a dressing room 11/13/2006

I really love the cloths at this particular store although it is rather tough to get into a dressing room if you are shopping during the weekend! Sometimes the staff is a little overwhelming in asking questions. The variety of designers on the other hand though are amazing! I love their sweaters right now for winter! more

Worst of all Worlds 7/8/2006

Anyone who experiences this vile store agrees that the staff is pretentious and hostile, but I'm willing to look past that if the merchandise is really great. However, upon visiting last Wednesday, I didn't find a single item that intrested me. The majority of frocks hanging on the racks looked like drab versions of what one might find at Chicos. Don't let this black hole destroy your opinion of Fremont, just keep walking. Cons: Rude sales girls, frumpy clothing more

Beautiful and Friendly 4/25/2006

I actually had a great experience there, especially with the sales person. They were friendly and didn't pressure me towards the more expensive racks. I found a great scarf and sweater in the clearance bin and she complemented my taste for color when I checked out and spent less than $50. The clothes are beautiful, but a little out of my price range. more

Wonderful Staff and Selection 12/1/2005

I felt I had to write a review in order to defend the staff at Les Amis. I have shopped at Les Amis for years because of 2 things: 1. Unique and beautiful selection of clothing, and 2. Honest and friendly staff. The entire staff has an amazing fashion sense and is more than willing to help you. They wont follow you around, pester you, and tell you that everything looks good on you. If you have a problem with the folks that work there, try going in and asking for help. You will find that Les Amis is a great shopping experience. more

I'm glad to see that I'm not just especially repugnant to the salespeople at Les Amis. I've shopped there for a few years, naively hoping that I would perhaps be treated as an equal (if not as a customer) at this boutique at some point - but no more. While Les Amis's inventory is quite extensive and unique for Seattle, it just doesn't compensate for the cold, glassy-eyed stares and aloof attitudes that one receives for daring to step into this supposed bastion of ""Euro style in funky Fremont"". Yes, there's certainly funk, and it's not the good kind. While their clothes are nice, their poorly trained sales staff detracts significantly from the overall shopping experience. This store gets high marks regardless of the customers continued complaints that the staff is extremely rude and snotty. I've been subjected to it and I won't go back. They have a nice selection of clothing but someone should just tell the staff they need to learn how to smile and treat people with respect!!! Even the stores on Robertson in LA which carry every this store does treat everyone who walks in like celebrities. Take a clue! Cons: snooty, pretentious, unfriendly more

Should be on an island 8/17/2005

Well, I give up on this place. Several times I have been in there...only to be ignored by the staff. When I want help, I get that to hip to help you response. Give me a break. Then it hit me...the store with it's look and attitude should be on an island of hippies grown old. more

Beautiful Clothes, Snooty Service 8/2/2005

I have to agree with the reviewers who say they've gotten attitude when shopping at this store. I'm all for being able to browse on my own and not be fussed over, but I don't appreciate the chilly reception when I'm actually buying something. The clothes are definitely gorgeous, but the vibe could be a lot more welcoming. more

I go to this store every couple of months, and usually come out with something. The clothes are beautiful and unique, and I like the store's ambience. I could, however, do without the dismissive sales clerks. One reviewer below wrote that a salesperson stared at her when she left, and I have encountered that there as well. Charming boutique that offers great clothing. You may find a variety of brands and styles. The sales lady will help you if you have any questions but if you don't, they will let you browse in peace. how do you NOT love this place! 12/7/2002

I have to write in defense of this stellar boutique-- I've been shopping at Les Amis for years, and turned many of my peers on to the experience as well. As the only shop of its kind(at least originally) Les Amis has become a destination for women of Seattle style. The shop, including the staff, offers up an honest and intelligently put together variety of clothing and accessories. Really, there's not a ""snooty"" one in the bunch. If in fact you're looking for someone to follow you around the store, and squeeze you in to unflattering attire, don't come here. But, if in need of honest, attentive(not overbearing), need based assistence, and LOTS of fashionable, unique clothing to work with, this is definitely your shop!! Maybe those of you with such poor experiences, should try an open mind next time! Pros: great variety, excellent location, enjoyable staff Cons: parking, crowded weekends more

As a visiotr to Seattle recently, i was glad to have made the trip to Fremont. Les Amis is an adorable store with a very eclectic collection of clothes. Great for non-traditional buyers of clothes and purses. Highly recommended. more

Lots of beautiful stuff 7/30/2002

I went to this store for the first time last week and happened to get lucky.. they were having a sale! There was a wide selection of sale items that were very reasonably priced. I went home with a beautiful necklace. A nice salesperson helped me, but did not do anything extraordinary in terms of service. I was very impressed with the selection of clothing. It all seemed very wearable. The prices are a bit on the high-end, but that's what you get for going to a boutique that features funky designers. I will definitely go back to window shop, but I don't think I'll be spending money here until I get a raise! Pros: Beautiful clothes, Great Sale!, Variety Cons: Expensivo, Might be too trendy! more

It is hard to find certain lines of clothing in Seattle but Les Amis does a great job of updating and keeping current. Convenient too! Pros: convenient, excellent choice more
