If you live near this market, it is a great place to get cheap cilantro, green onions, onions, garlic - you know, veggie staples. If you don't live near this stand, there may be others like it in your 'hood (Top Banana in Ballard, etc). This place seems to buy produce that needs to be sold quickly for whatever reason (excess, ripeness, odd size, etc) but that just translates to savings for you. There is a small selection of Asian staples in the back (hot sauces, Thai Curry bases, bean sprouts, tofu). Staff is helpful and friendly. Save yourself a bundle if you regularly buy veggie staples like I do.
