Grapevine location but applies to allThe short review: If you sit on your furniture in shorts or jeans, have a dog, have a cleaning lady or slide off the cushion when getting up sometimes DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! The long review: We have had the worst experience with Rob and the owner, Mitch. We were so excited when we began our search for a new custom built couch and loveseat. We had purchased a leather couch, chair, ottoman and loveseat at another furniture store when our children were younger, but now that they were grown we were ready to invest in higher quality leather furniture. We went to many stores in our search, and while the prices were all in the same range, we chose the leather sofa company because the salesperson, Rob, was very friendly, showed us a dozen styles, colors and leathers, but didn't pressure us at that moment. We thought about it and decided to take the plunge and spend $8500 on a couch and loveseat. The pieces arrived and looked spectacular in our living room. For three months we were incredibly happy and satisfied with our purchase. At the start of our fourth month of ownership we began to see some discoloration on the piping on the cushion of the love seat. It continued to show "wear" so I emailed Rob with pictures. I didn't hear back after a week so emailed again. Rob was very apologetic and said he would send the pics to his boss Mitch. I received an email back with a response from the tannery stating they have had no one else complain about this leather, thus it's not a finishing defect. He surmised the problem could be caused by friction, perspiration, or a cleaning agent sprayed on or near the furniture. Mitch said he could replace the cushion for $175. I was floored. We'd had this furniture for 4 months and the edge of the cushion looked like it was 10 years old. We also bought the "protection plan" and were told we could lie and say we put something on it and they would replace it. We have gone round and round with both Rob, and most recently, Mitch. Their answer remains we must have done something to it. The same thing has begun to happen on a cushion on the couch now and there is a squeak sound in one of the seats. I'm not sure what our next step is or will be, but my $8500 brand new furniture looks like it's 10 years old in 2 places and sounds like it in one. I have attached pics. Buyer Beware - especially of the warranty! I have never written a bad review online of any company, but felt the consumer needs to be aware of this. We purchased a $6,100 leather sofa from Marty at Leather Sofa Company. We were sold a 5-year warranty and told that it would cover everything - even rips, tears, burns, etc. What they failed to tell us was that it didn't cover poor workmanship and neither does Leather Sofa Company. The leather on one of the foot rests wore all the way through on an edge in less than 4 years. We called the warranty company and were told they didn't cover it. So, I called Marty. He asked me to bring it in. They charged me to make the repair (and they put more padding in as it should have been to begin with) and then was told to make sure no-one puts the heel of their foot on it. Excuse me, but they are telling me not to put a foot on the foot rest???!!! When I told them that I felt they had mis-represented the warranty and that it was NOT "normal wear and tear" but obviously did not have enough padding, he told me I was lucky they would fix it! If paying to fix it was lucky, I'd hate to see what unlucky is! I would not recommend Leather Sofa Company or at the very least, make sure you understand the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on! more

To me, any review by an employee of a company whether negative or positive is worthless. The person can be on a mission to either impress the boss or defame the company. Therefore, this so called review titled: "Be Careful of Bogus Reviews" is in my opinion, bogus in and of itself. more

This company makes great couches as long as you don't have any plans on sitting on them. Silly me, I thought when I paid over $6,700 for a custom leather couch that I could actually use it . Not so, as soon as you start sitting on it the color will immediatly begin wearing off. To make you feel better about your your purchase they will completely ingnore your complaint and blame it on something that you did. Understand before you buy that their warranty does not cover the finish. more

One unreasonable customer reviewed all five stores (he did not shop in this one) in a vindictive attempt to mislead others and slander a fine, honest company producing very high quality products. Visit any of these great stores and decide for yourself. more

If I could give the Leather Sofa Company a negative rating I would. The sofa, chair and ottoman we received in our home was nothing like what we saw on the showroom floor. When we voiced our dissatisfaction with not only the salesman but the owner as well, they basically said there was nothing they would do about it. The leather looks and feels more like cheap pleather, has puckers where it shouldn't, crooked seams and has scratched up with minimal usage. My wife and I are greatly disappointed. Can't believe we spent so much money for such poor quality furniture. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy more

They offer a large selection and wide price ranges. I like the styles they have. They have a lot of unique styes that I have not seen at other stores. They have leather sofas in all price ranges. Try this store first.  They have other leather pieces as well. more

This store offers a wide selection of very different leather sofas. They also have a wide range of prices so this is the first place I would look when searching for the perfect leather sofa. I love their selections. I saw some very unique sofas here that you would not find in another store. more
