Learning Tree Daycare

My child has been attending Learning Tree since he was two years old. When I was looking for a daycare for my son, I visted Learning Tree and the owner, Fran was there. She gave me a very detailed tour and told me all about the facility. She did all this even though her daughter-in-law had just died that morning. She was friendly, answered all my questions and told me that she wanted me to see the kitchen. I wondered why she wanted me to see the kitchen and she said that when I visit daycares, always look at the kitchen and bathrooms and if they are clean, you know the facility will be as well and it was! I knew then that I was going to have my son attend daycare here. \r Even though my husband and I read to our son each night and started him on the My Baby Can Read program when he was one year old, I know that the Learning Tree has helped tremendously with his social skills, reading and creative arts. I have personally gone to the center without my sons teachers knowing, to watch my child and others as they play outside, do activities in the classroom and was impressed with his teachers. I am a teacher myself, and know what to expect out of other teachers and the daycare. If I see something that is not right, I do not hesitate to contact Keith or Bob to inform them and they get it corrected. If my son is out sick, the center will call me to find out how my son is doing. When my son was going through the ""terrible twos"" and he was not listening or being defiant, I told his teachers to contact me and I would come to the daycare and help in handling the situation with my son. Even though the teachers thought they were inconveniencing me, they still called me each time and I came up there each time. It takes both the parents and the teachers to raise the child and I wanted them to know we are the type of parents who are committed to being hands on each and every time. The staff here are very compassionate and caring. Because of the Learning Tree and our parenting skills, my son is already prepared for Pre-K. He can write and spell his entire name, knows his numbers and can count, complete a 25 piece puzzle without help and pick up one of his books and read it aloud to you and he is just three! I wish as parents we can take credit for all of this, but it was with the help of the Learning Tree Daycare. Keep up the good work Learning Tree. I will always recommend your facility! more

I really find it hard to believe this daycare is still in business after I have seen many bad reviews, and only a couple good ones on different site yahoo etc.. And my wife and I toured this place before I looked up reviews\r \r The one that drew my attention the most on the tour is where I saw the dumpster that is in public view and has trash overflowing and dirty diapers on the ground, I know this is not the daycares fault, but you think they can call and get that taken care of.\r \r Also, I didnt find the director very friendly or intrested that I came to tour for my child to attend the schooler program this summer. I seemed to be a bothersome at the moment. I find it rare that the tv was on, and there were no learning activites going on either, this was about mid-morning time. I have should have read the reviews to begin with example a parent on yahoo was saying boyfirends hang out there? I dont find that comfortable to me as a dad knowing they let the employees boyfriends hang out when these girls need to be teaching. And the directors take the toys out of the classroom after dhs comes to visit? What do the kids play with then? i just find this very odd and I will not send my kid to this center... I recently pulled my child out of this daycare. I am kinda embarrassed I even put my kid in this setting! All the kids do is watch T.V. While the teachers are on the phone texting or socializing in another room. The teachers basically babysit not teach so what was the point of me paying 150.00 a week if my child was not learning more

I was sent to the daycare to investigate after there had been many complaints by parents. i pretended to be interested in sending my child here. The employees were not paying attention to the kids and when they were i heard alot of yelling from the teachers. one of the directors was on the phone and computer when i walked in and when i left she was on the computer doing things that were not work related. they will continue to be investigated until something changes, but i would not recommend you sending your kids there as of now. more

This place is horrible would not send my pet there. My son was attending girls walk around with shorts very short. Not professional, and simply does not seem to care for thechildren. Felt my child was in danger took out immediately. All the supervisors do is play on computer all day while employees simply socialize and leave children crying sad very sad!!! more

I love the Learning Tree facility in Bartlett. The teachers are very nice and will accomodate to your every request. My child has been there since he was an infant and he is now in the Three's room. Anytime I have a question, there is always someone there with the right answer. The daycares are family owned and close-knit; which makes the center very personable. I would recommend this center to any family. Any parent needing to put their children in daycare needs to realize that children can get hurt under your care or someone elses so don't blame other people for something that couldv'e happened at home, too (Staple?).
