I went to get my hair highlighted there and I'm never going back! I wanted light blond highlights, i already had faded ones that had grown out from last time i did my hair. My mom wanted me to try it so I did. It was going fine I loved what she did until she put the toner in. She put way way to much. Then she let it sit in my hair for like ten minutes. By the time she washed it off the color was pretty much gone. Everyone thinks I dyed my hair back to its orignal color. It doesn't look like I have hihglights at all! When I told her I wanted it lighter she made an excuse about how eventually the toner would fade then it would be lighter, that's not true there is no color in my hair to go lighter. Now I have to wait a couple of weeks to actually dye it back to my original color so that it doesn't end up to light when I do it again, then wait another couple of weeks to highlight it the right way! It was a waist of time and money! I'm so mad!!! Don't go if you want your hair done the right way. It still smells bad too. Pros: They are friendly Cons: they messed up my hair!!! more

I always got my hair colored by Tina and my haircuts by angel. I could not believe when I called to book my appointment that they both were gone!!! It is so hard to find stylists who get your hair just right, and they always did an amazing job, and now I dont know where they went! Tina was always warm and welcoming and treated me like a person, not a dollar sign. And Angel the same. I used to get my hair cut by Jill at Lavish, she was a great hair dresser. unfortunately she left. After trying both Jenna and Candace who gave me very poor haircuts, I am looking for a new stylist. Their colorists do a good job on my daughter's hair, Danielle, the girl who does the waxing is very nice and does a good job on most everything (except Brazilians - go to Helenas for that), massages are okay and facials are good. Overall this is still one of the better salons in the Bay Area, compared to the similarly priced ones. Pros: Beautiful Salon Cons: Some staff not well trained more

Thanks for telling me where Angel is now. I was wondering, so I went and had my hair cut, and also wanted color, so he recommeded Kristen, and she did an amazing job!!! She used to be at Toni and Guy at Baybrook, and this salon is so much better. Much more relaxed and I had a gread experience there. Best color I have ever had!!!! She really listened, and did exactly what I wanted, she is truly talented. I have been going to see Angel at Lavish for quite some time, and was very surprised to find out he wasn't there anymore. I recently found him, and it just made my day. He is now at Salon Beaute in Webster, right across from Buffalo Wild Wings on Bay Area Blvd. Not far from where he was. The phone number is 281-332-8354. I was so worried I was going to have to find another stylist, but am so relieved I found him. I have never had such a great hair cut as I do with Angel, I always get tons of compliments on my cut, and am very happy to recommend Angel to everyone. He's the best!!!! HAVING MOVED HERE A FEW WEEKS AGO, I WAS LOOKING FOR AN AVEDA SALON. MY FIRST MEETING FOR CONSULTATION WITH STACY WAS VERY PLEASANT. SHE MATCHED THE COLOR FROM MY PREVIOUS SALON PERFECTLY AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. MY HUSBAND ALSO HAS BEEN TO ANGEL FOR A HAIRCUT. HE GOT THE BEST HAIR CUT HE HAS EVER HAD. I had a great experience at Lavish today after booking a 1 hr. massage (Gulf Fwy, Webster location). The ambiance feels like a healing sanctuary and the girls at the front were very nice. I've always been a fan of aveda salons and I've been to lavish before for different services and always been pleased. This time I went to have my hair cut and styled. I had my hair thermally reconditioned, so its stick striaght. I booked an appt with Joel because she was the highest ranked stylist. When I got there I was greeted and given a beverage. I hardly waited 5 minutes (even though I was ten minutes early!) A very nice man named Charles gave me a pre-hair was treatment, he rubbed nice oil into my scalp and even rubbed my shoulders!! It was heaven, then he washed my hair, this was the best wash I've ever had he massaged my temples, lower neck, and behind my ears. He's definitely tip worthy!!! Then I talked with Joel, it told her I wanted fun chunky layers, other than that she had free reign to do what she wanted. She did not disappoint! She also made sure that damaged pieces were eliminated,so now my hair is sassy and healthy looking. She's really got modern haircutting down, no need to worry about getting a generic hairstyle with Joel! I love my hair so much, I'm not letting anyone else touch my hair but Joel!!!! more

My friends and I have had waxes the past couple of weeks from someone new, not happy. Maybe they should think about the people they replace. Not sure what happen but 2 girls I've had in the past are not with the salon now. Pros: Ambience is great Cons: New Esthetician, not so great more

My pedicurist resigned from the other local spa I was using. The person that did my pedicure was very nice but very rough. It was not the same atmosphere that I was used to and more like a strip center pedicure that was very rushed. She also accidentally cut the site of my foot where I had a callus because she was so rough and going too fast. Looking around I would never get my hair cut or have any other service. No one smiled at me with the exception of the receptionist and the pedicurist. Everyone that worked there looked very young and very, very unprofessional. Don't expect good service here. Waited a long time. Never offered anything. But they had drinks out for you to see. Haircut was not what I asked for and looked horrible! Lots of hair on the floor---not cleaned up. Beauty licenses are not posted (at least I didn't see any)--which is required by the State of Texas. Not professional at all. I got my hair cut at Lavish a month ago, and it was the WORST haircut I have ever received. The salon itself is very nice, and I'm sure there are very experienced individuals that work there and cut great hair - the person I ended up with was not one of them. A woman by the name of Jenna cut my hair and it was awful!!!! I'm sure she's a nice person, but God, what she did to my hair was horrendous. I'm trying to grow out shorter hair and I asked for something simple, I believe, and ended up with a shapeless blob on top of my head. I said no layers, but got a layer (more like half a layer) - it wasn't even a nicely cut layer that blended with the rest of my hair. It left a gaping hole, not to mention it was completely uneven. Many sections of my hair were uneven. I waited a month, thinking maybe it would grow into something I could work with, but it never did. Yesterday I went to another salon and had it fixed. Unfortunately they had to take off length to fix it, and now I'm back to where I started. At least this time it has some shape. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Incompetence more

I am very particular and require nothing but the best for my hair and I have always had exceptional haircuts at this salon. The service is great, the staff are friendly and professional, the atmosphere is very mod and upscale, and the Aveda products are wonderful. I have nothing but great things to say about Lavish. I pay slightly more for my haircut but the quality of my cut is by far worth the extra money. You leave there having the type of haircut that has everyone asking, ""Who cuts your hair?"". Pros: Quality, Atmosphere, Service Cons: Price - but worth it more

I went in for a trim and the stylist chopped my hair and added lots of crazy layers that were uneven. I had to go to another salon to get my hair fixed now I'm left with much shorter hair than I have ever had in my life. The stylist that fixed my hair couldn't believe what a bad cut I had.
