I am a doctor that refers to doctor Martin 1/7/2024

I'll tell you what... I have referred to Dr. Martin for many years. She has never been a disappointment. She is a caring and wonderful doctor for every patient in which I have referred. For all of you that wish to obtain a functional naturopathic doctor, you will not see a doctor with more experience and empathy. If you have any other experience than this, contact me with your complaints... Dr. Jay Campbell, Parkside Back and Neck Care, Lynnwood. more

Devastating To Say the least 1/21/2021

Very poor communication. As a Doctor I would expect better follow through. She didnt have the time or consideration to communicate via several emails or calls. I highly advise seeking treatment else where. Dr. Martin basically "ghosted" me by not following up as most professionals do. more

Expensive Miscommunications 12/6/2017

Very disappointing experience! In this office, there are miscommunications at all levels - between the front desk and Dr Martin, between them and other offices (lab, etc.), between them and a patient. And you will pay for them. Waiting time is no less than 30 minutes. Judge by yourself: After my first visit I signed disclosures for releasing test results from a few other clinics. About a week later, the front desk called me that my test results were in and I needed to schedule appointment. A few days later, Dr Martin emailed me that she didn’t have the results and I needed to provide them to her. A week or two after I contacted the clinics, I received another call from the Dr. Martin office to schedule appointment because the results were received. Evidently, the results for my primarily problem were not received and Dr. Martin ended the visit after measuring my blood pressure (which have never been my concern). I ended up paying for their miscommunications. I wouldn’t write review but the front desk manners changed my mind. After questioning why I should pay the second visit, she answered “Honey, you see Dr. Martin, you pay”. Doesn't people call it milking the system? In addition, she uses “honey” all the time. She might think that makes her polite but the over-familiarity and calling patients pet names is patronizing and unprofessional. On the second visit, I filled in another release form and never heard back from the Dr. Martin’s office again. For a month and half I had two visits, no resolution to my issue, spent hundreds of dollars and lost work hours. I think Dr. Martin might be a good specialist but needs to work on the communications. more

Best ND in Everett 5/27/2017

My family and have been seeing Doctor Martin for over 20 years. We don't see her often, because she keeps us healthy. I still tell pregnant couples to go see her after she prescribed a Rx that allowed my wife to birth our baby within 2 hours of going into labor. more

Dr. Laura Martin 9/30/2015

Dr. Martin is wonderful, very informative and explains in depth so you understand what is going on with you. Very professional yet down to earth. A 15 minute wait is worth the wait to see her. Running late is not always a Dr.'s fault. Sometimes it is the patients that run late that set them back and they try to give the best service possible with time constraints. Plus emergencies do arise. I am very happy she has become my Doctor. more

Worth the wait. 9/6/2012

Dr. Martin is worth the wait. Yes, it is hard to get an appointment and plan for her to be late, but that is because she takes care of her patients. She listens, does not rush you and ends the appointment until you are satisfied. Bring a book and know she is there for you. more

Years of Service! 3/26/2012

Wow. I am so surprised about the person that rated her a 1 star. When was the last time that you went to any dr.s office and didn't have to wait at least 15min. especially at the Everett Clinic. They do have some good doctors, you just have to weed thru them to find one. I have taken my kids to see Dr. Laura since they were 4 and 5 years old. She is an outstanding physician and naturopath. She is gentle, kind and spends the time you need to get to know you and what may be going on in your body. I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

Laura is Awesome!! 7/6/2011

Wonderful Professional 4/23/2011

I have wanted to get into see Dr. Martin for some while. Finally got fed up with the "let's give you something for that" line at Everett Clinic and finally say Laura Martin. I am thrilled that I now have an alternative to the standard stuff that does so little. I had to wait a considerable time after I arrived on time, but felt reassured that this was a doctor who would give me the time and attention I needed. Once there I had several pages of forms to fill out and answer. They could have been mailed to me so that I could have had them ready ahead of time, but, again, I didn't care. I'm just happy to have access to caring naturopath. Complainers should take up needlework, reading, meditating, or better yet, drop by the Everett Clinic where they rush folks through at lightening speed. more

excellent doctor 2/3/2011

I have known Dr. Martin for most of my life, and I believe she is one of the few doctors who actually cares about her patients. She shows such interest in each patient that sits at her chair. Dr. Martin gives her patients advice, and helps each one of them. Coming to her is like going to see your friend. Her office is very welcoming with soft music, magazines, toys for the kids. Her staff are also very kind. It is amazing how her and her staff know each and one of the patients that walk in her office. That shows alot about this wonderful person how she takes the time to know everyone. I would definitly recommend her to everyone that I know. God bless Dr. Martin and her staff more

Excellent Doctor 1/24/2011

Dr Martin has been my primary care physician for several years through numerous serious health issues. She's outstanding, works well with all other medical doctors and has improved my overall health. Dr. Martin is also my wife's primary and she won't even consider going to anyone else for regular female exams. JM needs to grow up and realize he's not the most important person in the world. If you have to wait at Dr. Martin's office, rest assured you will get the same unhurried care when it's your turn. more

Long Term Patient 5/17/2010

Good: I saw this doctor for many years and I trust her, which says alot. Her goals is to eliminate the undying causes of illnesses. Most doctors treat symtoms and employ guess work. Testing is used for diagnosis and naturopathy for treatment. Cases requiring conventional treatments, because of their urgency are referred to appropriate specialists, who she is glad to work in conjunction with. I left her once because she would not give me the conventional drugs I wanted. I'm back with my tail between my legs.. more

Highly Recommend 1/14/2009

Laura knows more about the endrocine system than anyone! The office staff is pleasant and helpful. When I go to my appointment and have to wait for a time (bring a book) I don't mind. She is well worth the wait!!!! more

No one better 1/2/2009

My family and I have seen Dr. Martin for a few years now. She diagnosed my husband and I with thyroid conditions that should have been treated 10 years ago, but was not even mentioned by our traditional health care provider, even though test results say we should have been. We have received excellent health care and have been able to avoid medications that wer prescribed by our other health care provider, just because we fit a certain criteria, medications that could have had serious side effects. Dr. Martin and all of her staff and the othe doctors in the office are so nice and caring, I have never had an issue. I have had to wait a few times in the waiting room over my appointment time, but I have to do that wherever I go, so I always plan on it and if I get in on time that a bonus... I usually wait MUCH LONGER at my regular care provider's office and they don't even know my name. Everyone in the office at Dr. Martin's always knows who I am and when I call for any reason, they always are kind and help me, often without coming in for another appoinment. Dr. Martin keeps close tabs on all our lab work and makes quick adjustments that are necessary. We are so thankful for finding her and trust our health in her hands! more

Great ND! 12/8/2008

I can't say enough good about Dr. Martin. I understand the waiting can be hard but she has NEVER made me hurry through my appointments. This is a tough field to be in nowadays due to insurance and with traditional care you get such little time. I was going to the Everett Clinic for YEARS with no help. They threw their hands up and told me to try a N.D. I did and I thank God for her everyday. She has cured something that has been ongoing for so long. I am very grateful for her compassion and time. more

I recommend Dr. Martin 9/26/2008

I've seen Dr. Martin a few times, and have always found her kind, caring, and also insightful. She has a way of knowing what I need, and has helped me with health problems no one else was able to. Unlike the 1 star reviewer (who posted twice and lowered the average rating, by the way), I don't think that I am more important than someone having an emergency. She didn't even rate the doctor's care! more

5 star service and care 8/19/2008

My family and I and now some of our close friends have been using this naturopath for almost 7 years. She was recommended to us by our family practioner and we are so happy with our health care and with the service. She is covered by both our insurances, we have never had a problem with the billing etc. She has taken me through a pregnancy, dealt with my sons food allergies and kept my other son off of a dangerous medication when he was mis-diagnosed by another doctor. We are so happy the service/care. more

Avoid this Naturopath 12/6/2007

I have been to this woman 2x. On each occasion I was kept waiting in her waiting room for over 15 minutes past my appointment time. When questioned about this, I was told there was an "emergency" . The last time, today, that I went to see her - I was told that before I could reschedule the receptionist would have to talk with the doctor. Well, you know what, there are plenty of other providers out there and no one should have to wait in a doctor's office, of any kind, while others are seen ahead of you. Especially since you have an appointment. A true emergency would be seen at the hospital - no? In addition, the smarmy, condescending tone and attitude of the office help is more than anyone should have to bear. This doctor professes to be concerned and working on behalf of her patients. Apparently not. Avoid if you can. more
