Review content:
Very disappointing experience! In this office, there are miscommunications at all levels - between the front desk and Dr Martin, between them and other offices (lab, etc.), between them and a patient. And you will pay for them. Waiting time is no less than 30 minutes.
Judge by yourself:
After my first visit I signed disclosures for releasing test results from a few other clinics. About a week later, the front desk called me that my test results were in and I needed to schedule appointment. A few days later, Dr Martin emailed me that she didn’t have the results and I needed to provide them to her. A week or two after I contacted the clinics, I received another call from the Dr. Martin office to schedule appointment because the results were received. Evidently, the results for my primarily problem were not received and Dr. Martin ended the visit after measuring my blood pressure (which have never been my concern). I ended up paying for their miscommunications.
I wouldn’t write review but the front desk manners changed my mind. After questioning why I should pay the second visit, she answered “Honey, you see Dr. Martin, you pay”. Doesn't people call it milking the system? In addition, she uses “honey” all the time. She might think that makes her polite but the over-familiarity and calling patients pet names is patronizing and unprofessional.
On the second visit, I filled in another release form and never heard back from the Dr. Martin’s office again. For a month and half I had two visits, no resolution to my issue, spent hundreds of dollars and lost work hours.
I think Dr. Martin might be a good specialist but needs to work on the communications.
