LES Cadeaux Gourmets

People, if you have not been here, you really must check it out! Located on the top of Queen Anne hill, at 1629 Queen Anne Ave. N., they are near the middle of the Ave. I don't know much about the owners, or why they decided to open this store, but I'm so glad they did! If you need a gift for someone who pretty much has everything, I'm sure you'll find something here that they don't have. They have a mixture of Asian, continental European and modern innovative items for the kitchen or home. You'll find extravagant English china, natural fiber mats for the table or floor, to potholders with and innovative twist. The way the wares are displayed is exceptional, you feel more like you're in an art gallery. My favorite find are these tea bags shaped like pyramids, filled with one of three varieties of tea. You can even purchase matching accessories for them, or a complete gift set, including tea cup. Honestly, words can't do these tea bags justice, you have to see them to understand why they are so cool. They are open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday. more

I had read about Les Cadeaux Gourmets in several magazines so I finally decided to check it out. I found this store to be very pretensious and snooty. The salesperson didn't even greet me, although there was no one else in the store. The layout is more museum than store. While beautiful, it doesn't invite touching or buying. more

This small specialty retail store on Upper Queen Anne has a focus on everything culinary. Gourmet oils, amazing chocolates, great cooking print references, and items to make life in the kitchen easier. A little pricey, but overall, some great gift items and well designed implements for cooking. Think Williams Sonoma -- only less corporate, more diverse, and with ten times the charm. more

This little shop right on the top of Queen Anne Hill is the perfect place to find a gift for the gourmet in your life. The owners are really friendly. The shop is small and only carries great products - so you can't go wrong even if you are ignorant of the gourmet world. They have a good mix of the practical and the fun. Worth stopping in for a look! more

I agree that this little shop is a gem for foodies! It also has a nice line of skin products, which the knowledgeable owner was quick to tell me about and provided me with a wealth of product samples. They also have nice high end dish soaps and detergents. A great place for gifts (as the name says), or for a special treat for yourself. more

I love this new little shop on the top of Queen Anne, and you will too if you love food and delicious shopping. The owners are lovely and VERY knowledgeable - one is a former chef, the other won an Emmy as a producer of Wolfgang Puck's food tv show. The shop is full of gourmet chocolates, fancy green teas, pretty things for the kitchen and home, and great soaps and other toiletries. Hard to capture in a review, but if you like gourmet things, you'll love this place. more
