Excellent service, speedy, best price. I went in to get an estimate for a front bumper replacement. I called for an estimate and was able to get in within a couple hours. Instead of making me replace the whole bumper, they were willing to work to get it back on with clips. Another place suggested my only option was complete replacement. I also mentioned a door issue I was having, and with a small tweak they fixed it at no charge. I was blown away and very satisfied with the work performed. I had not even finished my complimentary cup of coffee before they were handing me my keys and sending me on my way. Seriously, great service and I will definitely return. more

Knoxville Collision Center -TERRIBLE FRONT OFFICES!!! 9/7/2011

I took my car there to get the hail damage fixed and the metal work and paint was done well, other than they didn't take the adhesive off my car from the paintless-dent removal tool before they clear coated it. But this review is about the front office. They are some of the worse people when it comes to professionalism. KCC had my vehicle for three and a half weeks when it was quoted for only a weeks worth of work!!! In those three weeks KCC NEVER tried to contact me with the progress of my car. When i went to the office to ask about my car, because they were giving me the run around on the phone, they told me they would put a note in my file for someone to call me. But they never did. so my final assessment is the mechanics do a decent job but the individuals in the front office (i.e. jeff,cindy,brian,stan...etc) are terrible people to work with. more

EXCELLENT REPAIR JOB!!! 11/1/2009

PLEASE READ!! My husband and I are both physicians in Knoxville (KCC never knew this BTW). We are very detailed oriented. My husband also once worked as a quality control manager at a large body shop and when we read the reviews of KCC- we almost decided not to take our car to be repaired here. I AM GLAD WE DID. However, our relatives in Knoxville have had their car repaired four times in FOUR years at KCC (yes, very unfortunate for them!) and they had nothing but positive things to say about the service and job they received. We went ahead and had KCC repair our car and we are both VERY pleased with the job. I truly wonder if some OTHER body shop is doing fake reviews? Seriously. I have learned that when reviews are this incongruous- all one's or five's and nont much in between- that someone MAY be trying to give the ""product"" a bad name? Well... in any case, in my experience, I was called two times with an update about the car- was given a price quote at the beginning and was charged ONLY that. The repair was done spotlessly. My husband will notice a VERY minor scratch on my car and he thought it was perfect. The color was spot on. The car runs as well as it did before. There are no complaints from me. The other customers in the waiting room were satisfied with their service as well when receiving their cars. I would recommend this repair shop hands down. Pros: followed through on their word more

Horrible Work and Horrible Owner 9/2/2009

I have had two occasions to have my car repaired at KCC. The repair work was done as per my insurance company's recommendation. The car was so poorly repaired that I have tried to trade in on three occasions and can not get rid of it because of the body work. The paint job was detected even by a person just walking by, because they forgot to repaint the mirror so it does not match. The apron was ""repaired"" though I fear that if I am involved in another collision the car will not withstand a collision. The car will not stay in alignment and it is due to the accident. They didn't even check to see if that tire and wheel were damaged during the initial repair until I started losing air every day. The owner is such a condescending person. Don't be fooled by the Bible laying around and the biblical connotations. He certainly doesn't practice what he preaches. Basically, due to their shoddy work, I have a car that has lost approximately $7,000 in it's book value. I wouldn't take my kid's bike there for repair. And don't be fooled, Nationwide Insurance is not on your side! They must be business partners with KCC. Pros: Free Water in the Waiting Room Cons: Worst Experience Ever more

Condescending mechanic 10/9/2008

I had to get my Cadillac repaired and took it to Knoxville Collision Center. The mechanic looked the car over and worked up one quote but forgot to include a repair, so I made him do a new quote. He told me it would take approximately 3 weeks. The entire driver's side of the car needed body work due to being sideswiped. When I went to pick it up, the mechanic brought me around to the passenger's side of the car to show me what they fixed. When I told him that they were supposed to fix the driver's side of the car, he looked it up in his notes and agreed. When he showed me the driver's side of the car, I noticed some spots on the trim. When I questioned him about the spots, he went in and got a rag and tried to rub them off. Then I noticed one spot on the trim was peeling. When I pointed that out, he got a bottle of touch up paint, touched up the spot and said if my husband wanted it repainted, we could bring it back, and then gave me the bottle of touch up paint. I assured him we would be bringing the car back. After getting the car home, I noticed when I got out of the car that the radio wouldn't shut off. After manually shutting my radio off, I tried to lock the car with my keyless entry and manually but the driver's door wouldn't lock at all. As I left for work the next morning, my dash lights wouldn't come on. After getting to work, I contacted Knoxville Collision Center. They told me to bring the car back so they could look at it. Turns out, the wiring harness hadn't been hooked up but the mechanic said the ""safety wire"" had ""fallen off"". Excuse me but the ""safety wire"" is supposed to be a ground wire for the actual wiring harness, more or less, and if the ""safety wire"" falls off, it shouldn't make a difference in the operation of the vehicle. In essence, they didn't hook up the wiring harness and they knew it before I ever got into the car because they had to unlock the car to bring it to me, and the keyless entry wasn't working. . Pros: Clean waiting room Cons: If you're a woman, you get treated like an idiot. more

great service 9/22/2008

Contrary to some of the previous posters I found Knoxville Collision Center to be very professional and courteous. My husband and I have had a total of three vehicles now repaired by them and we've been completely satisfied with each interaction. Not only did they repair our vehicle within the time frame estimated, they actually finished a few days early. As far as calling with updates on the vehicle, I'm not sure why some of the previous posters felt the need to have their hands held during the entire process. They give you an estimate, they tell you how long it will take and then they call when they're done. Pretty simple and efficient. They worked with our insurance company so that there was a minimum of paperwork for us to fill out. They pretty much took care of everything. I didn't find anything that would justify the complaints of previous posters. However, working in a customer service oriented profession myself I have learned that some people just don't want to be made happy and will complain no matter what you do. So, if you're looking for a body shop with great customer service who will do an excellent job of repairing your vehicle then look no further than Knoxville Collision Center. Pros: great customer service, efficient Cons: none i can think of more

Good Repair Work 8/15/2008

I just picked up my son's car from Knoxville Collision after they repaired over $5,000.00 in damages to a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. I saw the card before it was wrecked and only after it was repaired never seeing any of the damage. I have to say, they did such a good job repairing the car that I could not tell it had been damaged. The customer service rep went over all of the repairs and explained everything they did. Good job. more

POOR SERVICE 7/18/2008

THIS WAS AN ALL TIME WORST EXPERIENCE WITH AN AUTO REPAIR. FROM ESTIMATE TO FINISH, THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE, GOT MY CAR IN AND THEN THE AMOUNT CHANGED. O.K. I'LL DEAL, THEN IT CHANGED AGAIN. THEIR QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER CALLED ME AND SAID HE THOUGHT THE REPAIR WAS NOT SATISFACTORY. I WENT AND LOOKED AT THE CAR, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS EVEN SHOWN TO ME. HE SAID THEY COULD REPAIR IT WITH OEM PARTS INSTEAD OF AFTER MARKET, O.K. GREAT! I SAID YES AND EVEN AGREED TO PAY WHAT HE SAID WAS A PRICE DIFERENCE OF $15.00, HE SAID THAT IF THEY HAD THE PARTS IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT ANOTHER 20 MINUTES AND MY CAR WOULD BE REPAIRED, I WENT BACK TO WORK. HE CALLED ME ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER TO INFORM ME THAT THE PRICE DIFERENCE ON THE PARTS WAS NOW $24.00 AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL FOUR HOURS OF LABOR, YEA RIGHT! I ASKED FOR THE GENERAL MANAGER, HE CAME ON THE PHONE AND LISTENED TO WHAT I SAID AND ALL HE REPLIED WAS I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT, HE THEN POLITELY CUT ME OFF AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. Pros: RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND WAITING AREA CLEAN Cons: POOR SERVICE, NO COMMUNICATION, CONDESCENDING ATTITUDES more

Best repair shop in the city 1/10/2008

I have had 3 occassions to have my vehicles fixed. The service has been tremendous and quick. When Knoxville Collision Center gave me a time my car would be done it was finished on time. With 3 seperate accidents and 3 diffirent insurance companies they work equally well and quick with each. I would not recommend anyone else. I manage 3 stores in the state of tennessee and do not have time to play around with problems and that is why I will only use KCC. Pros: Not enough room to list all the pros more

Bad customer serivce 12/20/2007

Worst service ever! They are very slow at completing their work and they promise to call you and give you updates and they never do! more

Worst Customer Service 12/20/2007

If you are looking for a car repair shop that specializes in very slow service than this is the right place to go. On average it will take a couple of months for then to complete your car and they will push the pick up day further and further back everyday. The repair men at Knoxville Collision at very good at making new excuses everyday about why your vehicle is not ready. They are the worst service people that I have ever experienced using. Cons: Bad mechanics, nothing is done on time, they are rude more
