Review content:
I had to get my Cadillac repaired and took it to Knoxville Collision Center. The mechanic looked the car over and worked up one quote but forgot to include a repair, so I made him do a new quote. He told me it would take approximately 3 weeks. The entire driver's side of the car needed body work due to being sideswiped. When I went to pick it up, the mechanic brought me around to the passenger's side of the car to show me what they fixed. When I told him that they were supposed to fix the driver's side of the car, he looked it up in his notes and agreed. When he showed me the driver's side of the car, I noticed some spots on the trim. When I questioned him about the spots, he went in and got a rag and tried to rub them off. Then I noticed one spot on the trim was peeling. When I pointed that out, he got a bottle of touch up paint, touched up the spot and said if my husband wanted it repainted, we could bring it back, and then gave me the bottle of touch up paint. I assured him we would be bringing the car back. After getting the car home, I noticed when I got out of the car that the radio wouldn't shut off. After manually shutting my radio off, I tried to lock the car with my keyless entry and manually but the driver's door wouldn't lock at all. As I left for work the next morning, my dash lights wouldn't come on. After getting to work, I contacted Knoxville Collision Center. They told me to bring the car back so they could look at it. Turns out, the wiring harness hadn't been hooked up but the mechanic said the ""safety wire"" had ""fallen off"". Excuse me but the ""safety wire"" is supposed to be a ground wire for the actual wiring harness, more or less, and if the ""safety wire"" falls off, it shouldn't make a difference in the operation of the vehicle. In essence, they didn't hook up the wiring harness and they knew it before I ever got into the car because they had to unlock the car to bring it to me, and the keyless entry wasn't working. . Pros: Clean waiting room Cons: If you're a woman, you get treated like an idiot.
