sometimes you have a problem and you get lucky.things just seem to fall into place. that was my case when i went to kindred. i arrived and barely knew what day it was. i am back on my ""form"" because of the excellent care and above all there caring about the people in their charge. it was like FAMILY takng care of me.. I really am unable to find the words to tellyou how happy I am. If you or a loved one require rehab or hospital care Kindred is being strongly recommended!! more

my father God rest his soul was a patient at this god awful place for the past 18 days VIA ST JOSEPHS HOSPITAL......sold to us as a bill of goods.....a business partner....everything bad..... anyone has read about this place is true ...there are a number of things that They could have done to aggressively treat my father ...He may not have had 80% quality of life that he was used to but he would have had some quality of life all the same left to spend with his grandchildren..... instead this place is nothing but a DISGUISE AS HOSPICE not INTENSIVE REHAB as they claim to be ....... they are real slick in their manuevers to pass the buck from one doctor to the next..... it is a money-making Mill for these doctors and some not all of the nursing staff at this location in my opinion are not qualified.....so again if you have a loved one.... BE WARNED.... I would highly recommend an alternative to this incompetent place. more

For the past two weeks, I was a patient at Kindred hospital. I quickly learned that I was a very special patient. I've always known that my immediate and some distant family members have lots of allergies and now I know that I did not escape this family trait.\r \r Once I allerted the staff of my special needs, they made the necessary adjustments to make my stay comfortable and productive. I have so many allergies, they made arrangements for me to have my own room, informed staff at meetiings about my sensativities and designed a plan of action to meet my medical needs without causing my allergies to be affected.\r \r Ocassionally, my allergies snaked their way around the barriers but were addressed immediately. No one or agency is perfect, but Kindred strived continuosly to meet my needs. The staff; including the contracted organizations, become very involved with their patients by encouraging them to be positive and let them see how much they can accomplish when they try. \r \r I would highly recommend Kindred and their staff as a transitional care hospital. more

My fiance was a patient there at Kindred about a month ago now. The first night was very rocky. I can't say it was all the fault of the workers at Kindred though. The next morning we had a wonderful nurse named Melissa. She was compassionate, friendly and very intelligent. She listened to everything I had to say and told me she would tell her manager. Not much longer after that I met Tammy who was the manager for the nurses. She had the warmest smile we had ever seen and everything she told us she was going to do, she did. She came and visited with us the rest of the time my fiance was a patient and even gave us her cell phone number to call her in the middle of the night if we needed to. Rose, who was the supervisor of the nurses at the desk, was our guardian angel. She seemed to know it all and even helped me get Dr. Tigra to call me so that we could ask our questions. There was no question asked that she could not answer. She knew my name and always greeted me with ""Good morning, Leslie"" when I stepped off the elevator. The nurses aides were always there when we needed them and my fiance had a particular bond with one named Angel who works overnight, she was a riot. We wish we could remember all the names of the nurses but the others that left a lasting effect were Dole, Netta, Claudia, Zeeza, Judy, Gerald, and Janet. The physical therapy guys and gals, especially Jennie, did wonderful work in getting him to walk all over the nursing unit. My fiance is home now and he is doing better than he has in months and by the grace of God we will finally have our wedding at the end of this year. more

The care at this facility was excellent. They weaned me off the ventilator and went back home. The nurses were great especially Tina and Sharon my ICU RN's. I was told by everyone that I could not come off the ventilator but Kindred help me beyond my dreams and I am on the trach collar now. I liked all the respiratory therapists at Kindred. Physical therapy help me get my wheelchair from The DME company. more

I first came here I was angry and confused. I first meet CNA Judy and Amanda speech. Then I meet the therapy family and they all explained how they were going to help me. Eugene was a good help and friend. I entered Kindred on a vent with a trach. I am leaving off the vent and without my trach! Coming here was a nice experience and very professional workers. I didnt always get what I wanted but I asked anyway. I felt like I was around a family here at Kindred. The food is good with breakfast being the best! The best hospital I have ever been in Ever. more

They have an amazing staff and I have received excellent care better than any place I have been. No complaints from staff about patient care, I give Kindred an A+ for patient care from staff. I love the board in the room but it needs to be updated daily. I did not like the use of the intercom system. Staff used proper PPE/gowns every time the entered my room. The food proportions could have been not so overwhelming because I do not like to waste food. more

I have never been in a facility that cared as much as the nurses and tech. Everyone was as pleasant as could been all the way to house keeping and the kitchen. The food was great too. I would recommend kindred highly. more

Just like every hospital there are good and bad employees. Overall I feel that the place did a good job. I am a paraplegic that came in for pressure ulcers on my rear end from sitting too long without relieving pressure. The wounds were infected pretty bad when I got here. The wound care team along with infectious disease team got the wound cleaned up, and back to really good shape and healing. They were nothing short of amazing. I really cannot speak highly enough about them. I also really liked my doctor, Dr. Bankole. He did a great job making sure that we got all my problems sorted out. I did have some problems with a couple of the nurses and techs, but for the most part they were all very attentive and made sure I was comfortable. The ones that were great made the few that were bad seem negligable. The few problems I did have I spoke with the nursing supervisors and was able to get them rectified in a quick manner. They did a great job themselves.I would definitely recommend them to take care of you if you need it or even your family members. more
