NEVER AGAIN! 12/31/2011

My relationship with Kerry Catherine Jewelers ended today. I have been a customer for a number of years having purchased earrings, necklace, rings for my wife. She prefers silver to gold and I found nicer custom silver pieces there. The ring I purchased this Christmas was on the lower end of prices in KCJ $365. I had to wait for several minutes to get the attention of the older woman (from Tennessee) while shopping and lost her help several times to phone calls from friends and people stopping in to say hello. On finding the ring, she insisted that I not worry about knowing the size because my wife could bring it in for sizing. Also if my wife did not like it, she could get a store credit. I bought the ring and thought things might improve when the computer confirmed I was a returning customer. I asked for gift wrapping but had to intervene when the ring was laid on a foam pad and put in a cardboard box. Pros: null Cons: null more

The Absolute Best Custom Jewelry Experience in Raleigh.. 11/8/2010

Let me start by saying this review is long overdue and I've been meaning to write it for quite some time. I am honestly not sure if I have ever written an online review about anything, but the experience I had working with the staff at KC warrants it completely. My journey started as a completely clueless boyfriend looking to find an engagement ring for my girlfriend of the time (now fiance') around the beginning of 2010. After fumbling through quite a bit of internet research, i made my way over to north hills to check out kerry catherine's store (still clueless on the whole process) and get some face time with a real jeweler. That random decision would turn out to be the best I made throughout the whole process! Kerry and Vicky took the time to sit down and educate me on the whole process of custom designing a ring from scratch. No hard selling, no gimmicks, and they did so without a shred of proof that i was even remotely interested in buying anything from them. This was extremely refreshing and after examining some of Kerry's work, I knew that I wanted to move forward with using her as my designer. I'll keep the story short, but KC stayed after hours on multiple occasions for me to work with her one on one to create the perfect engagement ring over a period of time. I was able to select the perfect diamond out of quite a few that she ordered for me to choose from, and every design detail that I had in my mind for the ring she was able to put onto paper and eventually develop into the actual setting. The finished product is absolutely amazing and my fiance' Kathryn gets compliments on it everywhere we go. She was blown away that I had "designed" a custom ring for her that was one of a kind, something I could not have imagined doing at the start of the whole process. more

Discovering KCJ in the original shop in Five Points was the beginning of a relationship that continues today. My husband has learned and found the confidence and trust to purchase jewelry through the time they devote to education and customer service. From simple, lovely silver earrings to unique custom designs, I love and wear all our purchases. There is everything from stones to precious gems and a wide selection of price points, so shopping is always a positive experience. Remember that custom work requires a number of processes and TIME--but is sooo worth the wait! more

I purchased the engagement ring and our wedding bands from Kerry Catherine Jewelers and had nothing but the best experience.\r \r Though our purchase was not extremely expensive, she took a great deal of time to go over our choices and to make us feel as if we were her only customers.\r \r Yes, the engagement ring took time, but it is a handcrafted, one of a kind piece of art and this is expected.\r \r We financed our purchase with the Jewelry store, paid 50% up front and paid for it 6 months.\r \r Thank you to Kerry and David for a great diamond buying experience. more

This store has beautiful jewelry and I have been happy the gifts I have received from Kerry Catherine . I was given a bracelet that had a clasp that I didn't prefer and I contacted the owner to change it out and she was very nice about it. Unique Designs, Pure Artistry, and A True Professional 4/26/2010

I first came upon Kerry Catherine Jewelry Store after looking for something for my wife. All the stores I looked at had similar designs, and the same colored gemstones. Simply put, everything looked the same. Kerry Catherine?s pieces are all unique designs, and different colored gemstones. I happened upon Kerry Catherine Jewelry at the Strut Fashion Show in Raleigh a few years ago. Being so impressed with the impeccable and gorgeous design, I was compelled to visit the store. Be Prepared to Wait and Wonder 2/27/2010

I too have had problems with lack of responsiveness on custom orders. I placed an order for a custom piece I was giving to a friend for a special occasion. I was given 4 different dates by which it would be ready. I had to repeatedly call and physically walk into the store to try to nail down an actual pick up date. The final result wasgorgeous so I asked Kerry to make one for me as well. It's been over a month and I haven't heard hide nor hair from her. I've left a couple of messages for her to call. No response. The aggravation of constantly calling to find out whether you'll ever get your piece and the constant missing of delivery dates sucks all the joy out of receiving the final product. It's too bad because she's a gifted artist with a lovely store. A simple follow up by her or her staff to let a customer know the status of an order is just plain good business, not to mention common courtesy. My recommendation... if you're willing to purchase off the shelf, go to her store. If you want custom work done, go elsewhere ... unless you're willing to wait and wonder for months on end. I have been buying jewelry from Kerry for over 10 years. She has a fantastic eye for buying raw materials and synching them with what is happening in fashion.
