Kenwood Pediatric Associates Inc

I am the father of 6 children and have taken my children to Dr Spaeth for the last 10 years. Both Dr Spaeth and Dr Lacker have been wonderful with us. They are careful to explain what the issues are and have given proper treatment to my children. My children range in age from 11 - 30 now and I have been to 3 different Pediatric offices. This one is the best! The staff are friendly and the wait is usually minimal. The facility is very nice. I would highly recommend them to others. All 7 of my grandchildren go there now. Pete V. more

Dr. Spaeth- has been my child's doctor for about 12 years. He has always taken time to explain and discuss any details that we need to know. His quick thinking and skilled care has kept my asthmatic child from a hospital visit more than once. He has shortened many bouts with illnesses by taking the time to take a culture and get an accurate diagnosis. (He has never missed a diagnosis in 12 years.) He also has a good sense of humor and always makes my child feel at ease. Our waiting time for an appointment is never too long. He's very efficient! A great doctor... wish we could keep him past age 18! more

My oldest had a physical tick that was quite scary for me..as a parent you imagine the worst...each visit I would try to discuss this issue. On my last visit (because we changed doctors that day) after I enquired about the same issue..Spaeth screamed in my daughter's face that if she knew how STUPID she looked she would stop doing it! Another example :My youngest had a simple "ringworm" on her arm. Spaeth gave me samples to treat it with. Nothing he gave us worked and the fungus on her arm kept getting bigger etc. finally he sent her to a specialist to do a BIOPSY. This uncalled for action left a huge hole in her arm and was extremely painful. He is a TOOL! more

I have 3 beautiful children that I have entrusted their entire medical care to Dr. Lacker and Dr.Spaeth. My oldest is 10 and the youngest is 3. So I have been with Kenwood Pediatrics for 10 years and have never doubted the medical care they have received. From simple illnesses to major ones I have always been given the best treatment and advise to aid in their quick recoveries. I have always been given an appt. for an illness on the same day I call and well exams in a appropriate time frame. I have never had any problem with any of the staff.They are always willing to answer any question I might have or relay a message to one of the physicians. They always seem so friendly and genuinely care about my children. I have had no problem with the business or billing department either. I would never consider changing my children to another practice and look forward to getting the great medical care for my children for the next 18 years. THANK YOU DR. LACKER AND DR. We have been seeing the docs at Kenwood Pediatrics for 14 years now and I wouldn't think of taking my children to anyone but them. They are very knowledgeable and wonderful with my children. I have a special-needs child and we visit the office often. Dr Lacker is very gentle and caring and my kids love him. Dr Spaeth is wonderful with children and always gets a laugh out of them even if they aren't feeling well. My kids are not afraid to go to the doctor at all and look forward to seeing the office staff and nurses. I also have about 15 nieces and nephews that see these docs and everyone feels the same way that I do. Thank you to Doctors Lacker and Spaeth for taking such good care of my precious children. more

I don't know who would give either one of these docters a good rating. Dr. Spaeth evidently doesn't believe he needs to do cultures to figure out if a rash is staph or not, he just prescribes medicines that have common child allergens to children who may or may not have staph. Both of them need to enroll back in med school! And the B&^#*( they hire as receptionists have attitudes worse than any hood rat I've ever came across. We are trusting you with our children. Usually when we come into a pediatrician's office, we are already scared for our kids; we don't need the receptionist being rude and incompetent men pretending to be docters. I am going to do everything I can to make them legally pay for their mistake, but until then, you've been warned. Don't go to this office!!!! more

The staff has been very helpful to me especially when my kids are sick. They get them in right away. I really haven't had any problems with billing, but I would recommend the doctors to anyone! more

I like you have had the same problem with the billing @ Kenwood Pediatrics. I recently brought all of my children in for sickness and they still have not submitted anything to my insurance co. They are constantly sending me bills prior to sending it to the insurance co. If it was not for Dr. Spaeth I would switch. more

I must say that I have mixed emotions about Kenwood Pediatrics. I LOVE the doctor we go to their, Dr. Lacker, but I have a real problem with the billing. The people that work in the billling department are not friendly and have messed up my accounts several times. They did not apply payments that my insurance paid or kept sending the bills to wrong insurance company!!! Very frustrating! I have thought about switching several times because of this even though I am very happy with Dr. Lacker. I just wonder if other people have the same problems I do with them. The lady that handles the insurance claims their was actually rude to me at one point when I tried to explain to her that we had new insurance but they hadn't sent the cards yet. I just don't appreciate being treated this way by Dr. Lacker's office staff. But like I said, Dr. Lacker is wonderful and so is Dr. Spaeth, but beware about the billing. You have to closely watch everything they do and their bills are hard to read!!! more
