Disappointed the Second Time Going.... 5/20/2006

I originally raved about Juvenex Spa after attending a Bacherolette Party there. However, when I went again on 5/20/06, it turned out disappointing. I had gotten a gift certificate in which was purchased in March 2006 and it had a pamplet in it to get something free. Instead of honoring it, the receptionist just ripped it up and said we are no longer doing it. I really wasn't in the mood to argue with her, but I still feel like they should have honored it. I did however, enjoy my hour treatment of the Energy Balancing Therapies. The girl that did my massage was wonderful, but I feel that the people up front need to be more customer friendly and was definitely not a good way to start off my relaxation Pros: Massage, Price Cons: Reception Staff more

Highly Recommended 5/11/2006

Let me start by saying that I am a guy; Usually spas are not my thing. However, after going along with a girl friend last month, my opinion has changed. While I was there for a long, full body massage, I was very impressed with the combination of the professional, yet down to earth staff. The spa itself had a high-end yet comfortable atmosphere. The spa has 3 saunas and each is more impressive than the next. The Jade Igloo is breathtaking, the Herbal steam room has a chinese medicine fusion into the steam, and the baked clay low-temprature sauna is the only such sauna I have ever seen before. It was no suprise that the owner just flat out knows how to run a business! I was given a detailed tour by this super friendly front desk girl who was extremely patient and explained everything to me in detail. I promised her I will write a good review. I love Juvenex. more

Best Massage EVER! 5/5/2006

I went to Juvenex spa for a massage and a facial... both were fantastic. Johanna did the massage & I walked out feeling like jelly! The facial by lee was relaxing and my face looked and felt 1000 better when I walked out of there. I definitely recommend trying this place out... I know I will be scheduling another appointment soon! more

I went to Juvenex spa for a massage and a facial... both were fantastic. Johanna did the massage & I walked out feeling like jelly! I have read and heard a lot about the spa nd afinally decided to check it out. I could not behappier. The spa was super celan and nicely decorated with fresh flowers. The service was superb. and the therapists were great. I had a facial, a massage and a bode scrub. The tubs were very calming and the jade igloo is quite a sauna. I got all that at less than $300. I spent about 3.5 hours and was served fruits, and tea. To me that is cheap, or at least okay. I would go again and recommend it to all. more

I went here with some friends. The staff was extremely attentive and sweet, even if they only know 7 words of English, always asking us if we wanted lemon or cucumber water, even in the sauna. I absoluteyl loved my massage, Nana, my hard - working therapist, really got out some deep tension I had in my neck and shoulders. One of the best massages all year I've had and I've visited quite a few spas this year only to be dissapointed with the result. Afterwards the manager was rude and snarly to me and my friend since there was confusion about how much to charge us and more confusion about how to process SpaFinder Gift Certificates. Otherwise, we probably would have given higher reviews. Despite her attitude, I would still go back since a good therapist is hard to find, even with all the hundreds of spas in this city. more

I was charged $300 more than quoted at the outset. Because I was splitting the cost with 2 other friends (who I didn't know also paid) I didn't realize the mistake until a day later. While the total price we paid was the price listed on the written menu, we relied on the receptionist's verbal quote and were not shown a menu. The spa, rather than acknowledging their mistake refused to refund any money. Even a spa credit would have prompted my friends and I to return. Even though I lost $300, Juvenex has lost even more by being so short-sighted. I will go out of my way to make sure that no one I know EVER gives them business. Cons: Rude Management, Confused Staff, Poor Customer Service more

Very relaxing/peaceful ambiance, totally unlike spa. I tried the Vitamin-C facial, which I can see improving my skin already. My most recent visit included a massage, which I loved, and am already looking forward to the next time. Pros: relaxing ambiance, friendly staff, Excellent results more

Great Body Scrub 2/15/2006

I did the couples package (this spa is co-ed after 9pm) and it was so relaxing. We took our time, got the run of the facilities and were scrubed till we shined - cucumber mask smelled great. We also got access as part of the package to our VIP private tub - with champaign and fruit. We had some green tea, which I'm still trying to find, and then just relaxed in the bambo matted relaxation room. We didn't leave till 1am but they are open all night so it worked great. Hint: Don't be put off by the location and building exterior. And only downside is that the steam room runs a bit hot - but otherwise it was fantastic. more

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! 2/9/2006

I went here when they first opened and fell in love with this place. The $125 package with a mini-facial, mini massage, and body scrub is OUTSTANDING! My friends and I have gone here a few times for a girls' spa day and just had a beautiful experience. My favorite part is the relaxation room with fruit and tea. It's a stunning space and the staff is incredibly nice. I say GO! You will be wisked away into another world and your mind, body, and soul will thank you.
