I have been going to Juut for years, and every time I go in, I come out feeling ridiculously gorgeous. Certainly, Juut Uptown is now the training facility for Juut artists, a...

I decided to try a different spa so I went to the Wayzata location. Everything from the start to the finish was not good. I wasn't greeted, my service started late, so I receive...

After 10+ years I've had enough! Horrible!!! 11/10/2005

I have gone to Juut for over 10 years. After consistent downhill customer service, increasing prices, and unprofessionalism in the staff, I have finally called it quits. I was yelled at on my wedding day by the person who was doing my updo because I had washed my hair that morning (excuse me, but who gets married with dirty hair?). But the topper was the pedicure I had in Edina where the woman tore into my toenails giving me a very painful experience. She cut my toe and said I would have to put neosporin on it for a few days - with no apology. All that and $60 to boot! I wouldn't go back if the services were free. I only regret that I waited so long to make a change. Cons: Rude staff, Poor value more

Scissor Power! 11/8/2005

I used to do the Great Clips thing but then a friend sent me to Lindsey G. at Juut. Lindsey gave me a great cut and showed me how to style my curls, which now form nice ringlets instead of a frizzy mop. Lindsey also does an amazing job with short hair and another friend got a really great style for her wedding. I also took my mom to Juut when she came to town and the stylists there helped me put an end to her soccer mom style. Although I'm sure if you wanted a soccer mom cut, they'd be happy to oblige - they are very good listeners to boot. Pros: pre-cut head massage, great staff, aveda products more

I won't be back. 10/22/2005

I took my teen aged son here. We were both disappointed. No attention to detail with a high price tag in a trendy location. I could have done a better job giving him a hair cut myself (and I'm not a trained stylist). more

Spa Services 10/3/2005

I have gone to this location on 3 different occassions to get my eyebrows waxed. Each time I have given the same instructions and each time I have ended up with different results from the same aesthetician. Beyond my eyebrows being uneven, there was no attention to detail. They have not proven themselves at all, and now in light of the fact that they are now raising their prices, I will definitely never be back. more

Too rushed to care? 9/20/2005

I set up an appointment ahead of time, oh yes they could fit me in for a color and highlight with a cut to follow. I ended up with no color, a partial foil which since we went with the juut recommended browns v my usual blondes left me looking like my last foil job has grown out and I need another soon. My colorist wouldn't know though since I never saw him again after my hair was rinsed. The haircut was rushed and it did not include a scalp massage that all the other patrons around me were getting. I was not impressed and actually disappointed in their overbooking. Unfortunately, I won't recommend this particular shop to my friends. more

Worth every penny... 8/13/2005

I just moved here from Los Angeles, and really needed a haircut. I have read the mixed reviews about Juut, but love Aveda and decided to give it a shot. I thought the staff was helpful (no attitudes...then again, I am from LA). There is a new stylist there named Matt who just finished school at Vidal Sassoon. Honestly I thought he did a great job. Listened to what I said, gave a good scalp massage, took his time, and no attitude, and the cut looks great. Also ONLY 35 bucks- Not too bad eh? Pros: Great products, Matt-stylist more

very unhappy 8/11/2005

Recently i went to Juut after my regular stylist and colorists, Minjo and Emily left, hopeing to find them or a new team. The service was aweful. The haircut was rushed the color was NOT what I wanted. Before and during the service I tried to find out where they were but no luck. After hunting down the white pages and parents, I have found them both! It's so sad that no one at Juut would tell me that truth to where these girls went. My business will not head back to Juut. more

paying big bucks for a huge disappointment 8/3/2005

I have been to Juut once before for highlights and been disappointed. The highlights were faded in some parts. Second time i asked for the top colourist. I showed her pictures and tried to explain what i wanted but she didn't seem to want to listen to me. She ended up doing what she wanted and I ended up with worse highlights then what i had done myself with drugstore products, and the colour wasn't even close to the pictures i showed her. Plus i ended up looking the same as the first time i went - they seem to have one look (for blondes) that they do regardless of what you ask for. The only positive thing is that the Aveda products are gentle on the hair and the salon is nice and clean. Pros: Good products, Convenient, Clean Cons: Overpriced, Rushed, They don't listen more

eh... 7/28/2005

I went to Juut because of all the hype, and that's what I found - hype. As soon as I showed up, I was hit with how much of a SCENE the place is (very, Uptown...blah). And when it came to the cut, my stylist seemed a little rushed and ended up giving me a very basic layered cut. And here's where I feel torn. One the one hand, I could tell he was skilled and could have given me a better cut if he had just taken the time to listen to me. On the other hand, he didn't seem that interested in listening to me, and seemed more interested in getting the next customer in his chair. If you're quite taken by the Uptown scene and the brand name Aveda, Juut might work. If you're more discriminating, you should keep looking. more

Very Disappointed 7/5/2005

When I first moved to the Twin Cities, I thought Juut in Uptown was the place to go. On my first visit, I had a cut and highlights. I thought my highlights were ok at first, but upon returning home I realized how much of my roots were still showing! And the cut was a generic, cookie-cutter trim that they must give when they don't feel like taking the time to understand what the customer wants. I tried to get the results I desired TWO more times! Each time I told the colorist and the stylist what I wanted different this time and each time I came out looking the same. They even sent me out in the cold December weather with a wet head! The staff simply cannot be bothered to pay attention to detail, which is unacceptable to the hefty price! Pros: Cool location, Nice atmosphere Cons: Careless staff, No parking more

Juut 4/5/2005

I've been to Juut SalonSpa a few times and I've been disappointed everytime. I've asked for a new look, something fresh for the season. I come out looking pretty much the same as when I walked in. I do have to say that the massages are GREAT! more

great experience 10/4/2004

JUUT UPTOWN IS THE BEST SALON IN THE CITIES!!! Getting my haircut at Juut is always the highlight of my month. The stylists and color techs are knowledgeable and very friendly. I feel totally relaxed when I'm there as I know I am in the hands of true professionals. The shampoo beds are a must-long, relaxing massages that get your hair and scalp ready for the professional treatment it is about to receive. MinJo and Emily are easily the most talented, friendly stylist/color tech combo in the state-truly a class act!! Pros: everything more

Worth the price...oh yea 3/8/2004

Sure Juut is a little more expensive than say, Great Clips, but it's well worth it. The people here are crazy friendly, just real nice. Guys don't go here! I am a guy and I am having too much fun being one of the only guys in that place with all those beautiful women. If you go here ask for Beth, the most gorgeous girl is the world, oh and she ain't half bad with the scissors either. Pros: Beth, Atmosphere, Uptown = Good Times more

Wonderfully relaxing 1/31/2004

Everyone I have come in contact with at Juut Uptown has been friendly and helpful. The massages by Don and Mike are some of the best I've had including ones in NYC and Tahoe. Facials by Alysha are heavenly. The use of all natural Aveda products adds to the sensory journey. They have a hair salon but I haven't use those services. Highest recommendations! Pros: Friendly, Relaxing, Professional Cons: Parking more

Hair Stylist review 4/28/2003

Tthe stylists at Juut are generally very good. I've always felt that I get a quality cut, however, I find that I'm typically a bit disappointed in their ability to spend time with me understanding what I want and working with me to get that affect. I feel like they want to rush the analysis time a bit to get onto the cut and onto the next customer. It's a pity really because of all their great training almost seems to make them feel they know better than you what you want and they could make you so much happier if they'd spend a bit more time working together with you on the cut and style you really want. Pros: Smells wonderful, Natural products, Cool atmosphere Cons: Expensive, Try to 'sell' too muc more

great service 1/20/2003

Best the Twin cities has to offer. Spa service is top notch. Pros: top notch, high quality, excellent service Cons: expensive but worthit, hard to get appts more

Not going back 12/12/2002

I decided to try a different spa so I went to the Wayzata location. Everything from the start to the finish was not good. I wasn't greeted, my service started late, so I received less service, and I did not get the entire description of the service. Even the check out was terrible - I felt like a number. I will be hard pressed to go back. Pros: beautiful Cons: chaotic more

fabulous! 11/20/2002

I go to Juut everytime I need anything done to pamper myself. If I'm just getting a cut or color, I usually try the training salon in Roseville. They do a great job, and it's cheaper! more

The Wayzata location is awesome 10/16/2002

This is my ideal of what a spa should be... staff is friendly, peaceful, relaxing, accomodating... I would definitely go back. It's a nice little area. The massage was good, but not enough pressure. I would choose someone else next time. The cucumber water was so refreshing I think I'll make it myself next summer. The footsoak was a great start. Pros: Relaxing, Luxurious, Decadent Cons: It's a drive, Hard to find more

up-do at juut 9/21/2002

i went to juut for an "up-do" and was in a great hurry to make it to a wedding. the normal updo is supposed to take 1 1/2 hours, but the stylist did it in 50 minutes. she did a good job, but ended up charging me $75!!! the staff is very professional and provide good service, but don't expect great value. more
