Junior's Deli Boys

I've rarely been to a deli that I didn't like, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I've been here three times. Each time, I've been disappointed by the food, the service and the check. It shouldn't be that hard to make a decent sandwich. Pros: Location Cons: Food and service more

I've been to Deli Boys 4 times. 3 out of 4 times have been for takeout and I've gotten horrible service. It's not that the people that work there are mean, they are actually very nice. It's just really slow and there must be a lack of communication with their customers and/or chefs in the back. all 3 takeout orders i've had to inspect and there was always something wrong. For instance, my half Ruben being a cold sandwhich.. not because it had been sitting out, but because they made it like a cold deli sandwhich. That day they also forgot the onion rings. This was worst experience in here and to boot, It seemed as if the owners were paying a visit and were sitting at the front table. the whole family was there, children included. The chef was doting on the owners (seemingly owners?) bringing them out food to try and pleasing the table. Meanwhile, i had been waiting 20 minutes for a half of a sandwhich right NEXT to them. To boot, their little kids (although cute) were crawling all around the to-go area being kind of rude. Given this is what kids do.. you'd think you'd try to please your customers, even if its telling your kids to cool it down for a minute. more

Upon attempting to place a phone order during my lunch break, I was hung up on twice, and then waited on hold for fifteen minutes. Once receiving my order, an omelette with cheese, I quickly realized that they'd given me scrambled eggs with no cheese. While the scrambled eggs were good, they weren't what I ordered; of all the restaurants in Manhattan Beach, this'd be the last one I'd revisit for awhile. This is the worst restaurant ever! I went the first week that it opened. I ordered a turkey sandwich that costed about $10 and only came with meat and bread. I asked for wheat bread and they didn't have any. I also asked for mayo and didn't receive any so I asked the server for some. They brought me a bowl of mayo that was just slathered on there. It was gross. That sandwich sucked. The service was horrible. They even closed the doors at one point that day because of all their issues. I spoke with the manager and all he offered me was a hot dog or a dessert. Not even my money back. There are so many better restaurants in Manhattan Beach so steer clear of this one! more
