Drain clog was not unclogged - tried to sell more expensive repairs 10/10/2010

Called them to clear clog in drain between house and street. On 2nd visit to clear the clog, they used camera to scope the pipe. Told me tree roots clogged the pipe and the pipe was broken under front sidewalk - We needed to replace lateral to street. I had another company do the work (25% less money) - I was there every step of the way - Did not find any broken pipes or roots clogging the pipe we replaced from house past the sidewalk to edge of street. After pipe was replaced (several thousand dollars later), we still had a back up - ran a snake the rest of the way to the sewer main (about 15') and cleared the clog. If Frederick and son had run a snake all the way to the street the FIRST TIME!!!, they would have cleared the clog without me giving them another $350 for a 2nd call and then spending thousands for a replacement sewer line. I won't ever call them again!!!!! more

Joseph Frederick & Sons 3/29/2009

I needed to replace an old furnace. I looked at three different quotes and Joseph Frederick & Son came in the lowest. And 2 of the 3 quotes were for the same exact unit and the same exact extra parts. Frederick and Son came in $1600 lower than the other company. They were very professional to work with and did a great job. more

Heating contractor 4/17/2006

One chilly evening, I arrived home to find my furnace malfunctioning. After trying several numbers, and receiving a recording reciting company hours, I called. Frederick's. \r I was asked some questions regarding the situation and told to turn the furnace off for a while in hopes that it would reset itself. It did, but I was still apprehensive about going to bed with the furnace in that condition. At my insistence, a technician was dispatched to my home to check the furnace. I expected him to be annoyed, but he was very accommodating. I appreciated the extra effort. more
